You know, Christians like to insist a woman’s only or greatest calling in life is to pop out a kid. I never really cared if I had one or not. I see stories like these and feel very glad I never had one.

SALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A woman has been charged with homicide in the death of her mother after an argument over a car on New Year’s Eve.

Dawn Wagner, 51, was found dead in her Salem Township mobile home Thursday night. Police said Sarah Vercauteren, 25, and her mother, Wagner, got into an argument over the use of Wagner’s vehicle on Dec. 31.

According to police, Vercauteren became irate with Wagner, removed a hammer from the kitchen drawer and struck her mother in the head with the hammer. An autopsy revealed that Wagner was hit with the hammer 18 times.

Police said Vercauteren dragged her mother to the bathroom where she bound her mother’s hands and legs with duct tape.

Vercauteren realized her mother was still alive and tried strangling Wagner with her hands, police said.

Vercauteren’s 2-year-old son was home at the time of the murder.
Police said Wagner’s body was found by a caretaker and her estranged husband in her trailer at the Forbes Trail Mobile Home Park.
Friends of Wagner said she was quiet and kind.

Update (Jan. 21): 15-year-old Nehemiah Griego has been charged with the deaths of five family members, including former Calvary Chapel megachurch pastor Gregory Griego, his father.
Last night, police charged Nehemiah Griego with two counts of murder and three counts of child abuse resulting in death. Police identified the victims as father Greg Griego, 51; his wife, Sarah Griego, 40; Zephania Griego, 9; Jael Griego, 5; and Angelina Griego, 2.

A deranged student cut off his own penis with a knife while apparently high on party drug meow meow.

The spaced-out teenager, 19, mutilated himself after stabbing his mother at their home, it was claimed yesterday.

Police raced to the scene after the injured 46-year-old woman called 999. Once there, they found her son hanging out of a bedroom window with blood pouring from his wounds.
