Former N.Y. pastor convicted of raping 2 teen girls

If you are a single Christian woman who would like to get married, please stop limiting yourself to Christian men only.

I know you’ve had that “be yoked” teaching crammed down your throat since girlhood, and still hear such advice in columns in Christian magazines today for singles, but not only are there not enough single, adult Christian men out there for all the Christian ladies who would like to marry one, but the ones who are Christian sometimes end up being abusive, child molesters, or rapists, as in the story below.

There are some decent, caring Non-Christian men out there; you could end up in a marriage to a Non Christian guy that might go better than if you had married a “Christian” who is abusive to you, or who rapes children.

I also have many news stories on this blog about the porn addiction among Christian men (and there are a lot of them who have this issue), Christian men who use prostitutes, and ones who have been arrested for owning, or distributing, child pornography.

If you are an un-married Christian woman who wants a shot at getting married, you are going to have to consider dating or marrying a Non Christian guy at some point.

Preachers will keep lecturing you to “wait on God and God’s timing for a spouse,” or only consider Christian candidates as marriage material, but you will end up staying single if you go with either bit of advice.

NEW YORK — A former New York minister has pleaded guilty to raping two teenage girls, one of whom belonged to his congregation.

Prosecutors say the Rev. Michael Clare was convicted of rape on Wednesday. Under the terms of the plea deal, he will be sentenced to five years in prison and will register as a sex offender.

Clare was the pastor of the Harvest Worship Center International in the Bronx. He admitted performing the acts with a 13-year-old girl in 2007 at his home and with a 14-year-old girl later.
