Youth Pastor Jonathan David Masteller Charged With Sexual Abuse of Teen Boy

Thank goodness I put this blog on moderation so that new people who show up don’t automatically have their posts approved. Some guy just left two rather bizarre posts on the blog, including one under the blog post about male rape, saying he would be delighted to be raped by a woman (I moved both posts to the trash).

Moving along. Another pastor who sexually assaults people.

Unless some Christian can explain the practical benefits to a Christian single woman sticking to only Christian males in dating and marriage (the so called Be Equally Yoked view), I see no reason why a single Christian woman who hopes to marry should only date/marry men who profess Christ, since they turn out to be pedophiles and rapists.

And “because the Bible says so” doesn’t fly with me on this topic these days.

A Pequea Valley Junior High School basketball coach and former youth pastor has been charged with the repeated sexual assault of a 13-year-old boy.

Officials also charged Jonathan D. Masteller, 23, of Kinzer Road, Kinzers, with having images and videos on his computer depicting child pornography.

He was arraigned Tuesday by District Judge B. Denise Commins and committed to Lancaster County Prison after failing to post $250,000 bail.

….Masteller also was a youth pastor at Gap Community Church.
