The Lobster – a movie that sounds like how the church treats adult singles
A really nice lady I follow on Twitter (Christian Janeway; her screen name there is @XianJaneway) tweeted me today, asking me if I had ever heard of this film, and I said, no:

Here is how that page reads:
- In a dystopian near future, single people, according to the laws of The City, are taken to The Hotel, where they are obliged to find a romantic partner in forty-five days or are transformed into beasts and sent off into The Woods.
I told Christian Janeway that sounds pretty much how like most American Christians and churches already treat adult singles. Really.
If this movie ever comes on cable TV, I’ll give it a watch.
