Georgia Pastor Charged With Raping Ten Year Old Girl at Homeless Shelter He Founded

His nuts and penis should be ripped off, slowly, with a rusty saw.

Before I proceed with the links to the story, some of my standard commentary on news stories such as this one:

  1. Equally Yoked is a Joke.
On my blog, I must have a billion examples of self professing Christian men who are arrested for wife abuse, wife murder, child rape, and other crimes and atrocities. It would be better for a single Christian woman to marry a decent Non-Christian man than assume any or most “Christian” men she meets are upstanding, moral, and ethical.
  2. Searching for a spouse in church might be a mistake.
I was brought up by Christian parents to think church would be the best place to meet eligible, kind, decent Christian men to date. But so many rapists and perverts who claim to be Christ-followers hide in plain site at churches – with some even working as preachers – this is not a good idea.
  3. Marriage and parenting do NOT make a person more Godly, Compassionate, or Mature.
If the pervert in this story is married and/or a father, this goes to show that being married or a parent does not automatically make a person more loving, responsible, or godly (Christians often teach that marriage or parenthood are necessary to make a person a full-fledged grown up and all around great person).
  4.  The Christian teaching that a single adult must clean herself up, or achieve some standard or another before God will permit that person to get a spouse is tripe.
I have many examples on my blog of rapists, men who have sex with dogs, etc, who are married to human women, and some of these guys profess Christ. If a dog or child rapist can get a human spouse, God is OBVIOUSLY not holding up any standard of moral perfection before he sends a person a spouse.

MYRNA, Ga. — A local pastor has been arrested and charged with child molestation and rape following an investigation from County Police Department’s Crimes Against Children’s Unit.

According to detectives, the investigation originally began in Dothan, Alabama, leading to the interview of a 10-year-old juvenile victim.

During the interview, the juvenile victim disclosed she was sexually abused by “Pastor 7” David Wells, while staying at the recovery center, The Garden, in Smyrna, Ga. with family.

The Garden, which “is home to about 60 women and 40 children that have been rescued from homelessness or broken situations,” was founded by Wells back in 2008.

According to the recovery center’s website, “(Wells) was released from prison in 2000 and God told him to go into the streets and under the bridges and love those with this new love he had been given. Eventually, he was given a home and began rescuing men off the streets and bringing them into his house. Then, women and children started showing up wanting help and God eventually provided the Garden, a home for women and children.”

A Georgia pastor has been taken into custody after a 10-year-old girl told police she had been raped at the homeless shelter he founded, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Danny Wells, — who also calls himself Pastor 7 — was arrested by Cobb County police on Thursday and charged with rape and aggravated child molestation.

Wells founded 7 Bridges to Recovery ministry and runs The Garden, a homeless shelter he founded in Smyrna.

According to the website for his church, Wells created his ministry after being released from prison saying, “While in solitary, God came to 7 and whispered in his ear that He would never leave him or forsake him.”
