Adam Rippon may have captured many hearts around the world with his Olympic debut, but for now the 28-year-old is enjoying being single.

“I think a lot of people are afraid to be single,” Rippon, who broke up with his boyfriend of two years before the Olympics, (Link): told People.

“I fully embraced it, because I have really invested a lot of time into thinking about: What do I want to do? What’s important to me? What gives me the most energy? What inspires me the most? If I can meet a guy that falls into that and is supportive of that, that’s great.”

After copping to having used apps like Tinder and Grindr in the past, the figure skater shared that he wants his next relationship to start offline.

“I think in the last few months I’ve been so focused on myself that in a way, I think that if I am to meet somebody I want it to happen organically,” Rippon said.
