Liberal and Democrat Incivility, Harassment, Or Violence Against Conservatives or Republicans, 2006 – 2018
In light of the fact that a kook who appears to be a Trump supporter and liberal hater, (Link): Cesar Sayoc, was arrested today for using the United States postal service to send pipe bombs to various Democrats (including former presidents Bill Clinton and Obama), liberals and Democrats have been playing the blame game, and saying that Trump’s rhetoric is to blame.
Here are a few more links about Sayoc:
(Link): Pipe bomb suspect Cesar Sayoc is a registered Republican and a Trump fan with a criminal record
(Link): Cesar Sayoc Identified As Mail Bomb Suspect
(Link): From tweets to bombs, suspect’s rage at Trump foes escalated
So, liberals – especially those in left wing media – have been saying Trump is responsible for Sayoc’s behavior, and they are demanding that Trump apologize for what Sayoc did.
Excuse me, but for the past several years, especially since Trump was elected in 2016, those on the left have been going bonkers:
Doing things like forming mobs to attack people on the streets in large scale protests (they especially like to target anyone wearing a Trump supporting “M.A.G.A.” hat);
following Trump staff or other Republicans into restaurants to yell at or heckle them, while the left,
including but not limited to democrat politicians such as Maxine Waters, has a history of telling other Democrats to harass or commit violence against Trump supporters, Republicans, and/or conservatives (examples of this below).
I remember when George W. Bush (Republican) was in office, and later, when Sarah Palin (Republican) ran for office, liberals and Democrats were making jokes about those Republicans getting killed or being gang raped.
This behavior is coming from the same guys who scream and complain that all conservatives and Republicans are supposedly mean, intolerant, bigoted, and hateful.
Further, liberals and Democrats have the audacity to sit around today and blame the heated political climate solely on Trump? Oh no you don’t.
I left the Republican party a few years ago, but there is no way I could ever become a Democrat, largely because of the vile behavior by Democrats you see below, but also what grates on my last nerve even more is the staggering hypocrisy. Many Democrats and liberals often participate in the very behavior they say they see and hate in Trump, conservatives and Republicans.

Death of a President uses digital trickery, archive footage and actors to imagine the murder of President Bush and the descent into national paranoia which follows.
The feature-length drama will be screened on More4, Channel 4’s digital sister channel next month after receiving a big-screen premiere at the Toronto Film Festival.
A New Low in Bush Hatred
Excerpts:
By Jeff Jacoby, Globe Columnist | September 10, 2006
Through the use of digital special effects, the film superimposes the president’s face onto the body of the actor playing him, so that the mortally wounded man collapsing on the screen will seem, all too vividly, to be Bush himself.
This is Bush-hatred as a snuff film.
The fantasies it feeds are grotesque and obscene; to pander to such fantasies is to rip at boundary-markers that are indispensable to civilized society. That such a movie could not only be made but lionized at an international film festival is a mark not of sophistication, but of a sickness in modern life that should alarm conservatives and liberals alike.

A man with a black trench coat whose shooting rampage in a Montreal college killed one person and wounded 19 others before he was slain by police said on a Web site in his name that his favorite Internet game was about the Columbine shootings.
The gunman who opened fire at Dawson College on Wednesday was Kimveer Gill, 25, of Laval, near Montreal, a police official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because authorities were not ready to announce it publicly yet.
Six victims remained in critical condition, including two in extremely critical condition.
The official said police had searched Gill’s home.
In postings on a Web site called VampireFreaks.com, blogs in Gill’s name show more than 50 photos depicting the young man in various poses holding a rifle and donning a long black trench coat and combat boots.
One photo has a tombstone with his name printed on it _ below it the phrase: “Lived fast died young. Left a mangled corpse.”

Update: [Stand Up Comic] Sandra Bernhard Says Palin Gang-Rape Taunt Is Part of ‘Much Larger, Nuanced’ Piece
By Tim Graham
September 19, 2008
Sandra Bernhard [entertainer] has responded to the unfolding controversy over her gang-rape warning to Sarah Palin in her D.C. theater show.
So have Democrats: Ari Roth on the Theatre J blog reports “even some democrats right here in DC are upset by the excerpts they’ve read.” Bernhard told the New York Daily News it was part of a “much larger, nuanced” whole:
The Republican V.P. nom would be “gang-raped by my big black brothers” if she enters Manhattan, Bernhard said. Palin is said to be making a campaign stop in New York next week.
“[The gang rape comment] is part of a much larger, nuanced, and yes, provocative (that’s what I do) piece from my show about racism, freedom, women’s rights and the extreme views of Governor Sarah Palin, a woman who doesn’t believe that other women should have the right to choose,” Bernhard told the Daily News today.
“Women deserve better,” she continued. “I certainly wish Governor Palin no harm. I’d just like her to explain to me how she can hold such outrageous views — and then go back to Alaska.”

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – An effigy of U.S. Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin hanging by a noose as part of a Halloween display drew complaints on Monday, but local officials said the homeowner was covered by free speech rights.

But our media harbor such bitter hatred for him that they turned a potential bomb-throwing incident — by one of their own — into a joke, just another reason to sneer at the President. If anybody threw a cream pie at Obama, screaming headlines would be launched for days afterward.
Nothing but sneers followed the potential attack on George W. Bush, which he fended off with his usual grace and humor. I have never known a US president to be treated as disgracefully as this one. The political case against him is based almost entirely on media falsehoods, slanders, and greed for power. Not much rationality there.

– Rush Limbaugh Should Die: “I’m waiting for the day when I pick up the newspaper or click on the Internet and find that he’s choked to death on his own throat fat, or a great big wad of saliva or something, whatever. Go away, Limbaugh, you make me sick.” (Mike Malloy)
-Michele Bachmann Should Die: “So, Michele, slit your wrist! Go ahead! I mean, you know, why not? I mean, if you want to — or, you know, do us all a better thing. Move that knife up about two feet. I mean, start right at the collarbone.” (Montel Williams)

Katherine Windels, 26, faces four counts of using a computer to threaten, injure, or harm and creating a bomb scare, authorities said.

Windels, according to the complaint, used two separate e-mail accounts to send e-mails to the Republican state senators including one to Sen. Robert Cowles on March 9.

….Savage explained in Salon that he’d gone to Des Moines to follow around “one of the loopy conservative Christian candidates” and write about the campaign. But when he got there he went to bed with the flu.
On his “deathbed” he heard Gary Bauer declare on MSNBC “Our society will be destroyed if we say it’s OK for a man to marry a man or a woman to marry a woman,” and in his “Sudafed-induced delirium,” Savage decided to respond with an act of “terrorism.”
His new plan: volunteer for the Bauer campaign and “get close enough to Bauer to give him the flu….I would go to Bauer’s campaign office and cough on everything–phones and pens, staplers and staffers.”
If his plan was “a little malicious,” well, he figured, so’s Bauer. “When Bauer tells people that gays and lesbians are a threat to families, I take that personally.”
Savage went on to say how he carried out his scheme.
Rising from his soggy bed of pain, he signed on at Bauer headquarters, worked the phones a couple shifts, and while everyone else was at a pizza party “went from doorknob to doorknob….
“Much as it pains me to confirm a hateful stereotype of gay men–we will put anything in our mouths–I started licking doorknobs.
“The front door, office doors, even a bathroom door. When that was done, I started in on the staplers, phones and computer keyboards. Then I stood in the kitchen and licked the rims of all the clean coffee cups drying in the rack.”
He wasn’t done yet. Stalking Bauer during an appearance at a local war memorial, Savage pulled his pen out of his mouth and handed it to the candidate so he could autograph a photo of Savage’s adopted son. “Score! My bodily fluids–flu bugs and all–were all over his hand!”

… But gallant cultural warriors Matt Taibbi and Matt Yglesias volunteered their farewells — for all the world to hear. Yglesias, who opines for Slate magazine, offered this nugget on Twitter: “Conventions around dead people are ridiculous. The world outlook is slightly improved with @AndrewBrietbart dead.”
With each snarky tweet, mean-spirited cable rant, and ugly blog post, the standards of civility descend apace.
The latest event underscoring this trend came after the sudden death of 43-year-old media provocateur Andrew Breitbart, who died of what is presumed to be a heart attack while taking a nighttime stroll in his Southern California neighborhood the other night.
… Taibbi, who blogs for Rolling Stone, went further. In a screed headlined “Death of a Douchebag,” he wrote: “Good! I couldn’t be happier that he’s dead.”
Taibbi continued in this vein at some length, in coarse language, which he justified on grounds that Breitbart had tweeted nasty insults about Sen. Edward M. Kennedy when the last of the Kennedy brothers passed away in 2009.

FBI video: Domestic terrorist says he targeted conservative group for being ‘anti-gay’
Excerpts:
By Joel Gehrke
April 2013 (updated to 2012 story)
Family Research Council (FRC) officials released video of federal investigators questioning convicted domestic terrorist Floyd Lee Corkins II, who explained that he attacked the group’s headquarters because the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) identified them as a “hate group” due to their traditional marriage views.
“Southern Poverty Law lists anti-gay groups,” Corkins tells interrogators in the video, which FRC obtained from the FBI. “I found them online, did a little research, went to the website, stuff like that.”
The Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard reported that Corkins, who pleaded guilty to terrorism charges, said in court that he hoped to “kill as many as possible and smear the Chick-Fil-A sandwiches in victims’ faces, and kill the guard.” As Bedard explained, “the shooting occurred after an executive with Chick-Fil-A announced his support for traditional marriage, angering same-sex marriage proponents.”

(AP/CBS) WASHINGTON – A man who volunteered at a gay community center had a backpack full of Chick-fil-A sandwiches and a box of ammunition when he said “I don’t like your politics” and shot a security guard at the headquarters of a conservative lobbying group, authorities revealed Thursday.
Floyd Lee Corkins, II, was ordered held without bond on charges that he opened fire a day earlier inside the lobby of the Family Research Council, an influential conservative Christian group that has supported the president of the fast-food chain hisstaunch opposition to same-sex marriage.
… Corkins had been volunteering for about the past six months at The DC Center for the LGBT Community, said David Mariner, executive director of the community center, in Northwest Washington. He usually staffed the center’s front desk on Saturdays, and his most recent shift was about two weeks ago.
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said “reckless rhetoric” from organizations that disagree with his group’s opposition to abortion and same-sex marriage was to blame for the shooting.

An IRS campaign to apply additional scrutiny to conservative groups went beyond targeting “Tea Party” and “patriot” groups to include those focused on government spending, the Constitution and several other broad areas.
The additional guidelines created by the agency were part of a timeline, obtained by Fox News, from the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, which is looking into the controversial IRS practice. IRS officials apologized Friday for the scrutiny, but new information suggests senior leaders were apprised of the effort as early as 2011 despite public denials from the top.

Violence at rallies for Donald Trump is nothing new — in the last few weeks alone, Trump protesters and police have clashed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and in Anaheim, California; in New Mexico, several police officers were injured by rocks and bottles protesters threw, and multiple people were arrested in Anaheim.
The scene was similar at a Trump rally in San Jose, California, Thursday night, but this time, instead of tussling with police, Trump protesters reportedly let loose on Trump’s supporters.
According to the Associated Press, at least a dozen supporters of the presumptive GOP nominee were pulled into brawls and punched, one woman was pelted with eggs and other food, and several “Make American Great Again” hats were snatched and set aflame.
… The rally ended just before 8 p.m. (11 p.m. EST), and attendees — of whom there were an estimated 300 — began to filter out of the San Jose Convention Center. But a crowd of protesters chanting and holding flags and signs awaited them. One woman wearing a Trump jersey was cornered by the mob, shoved into a corner, screamed at, and hit with an egg.

(CNN) – James T. Hodgkinson, the man identified as shooting a Republican member of congress and four others on Wednesday morning, was a small business owner in Illinois who defined himself publicly by his firm support of Bernie Sanders’ progressive politics — and his hatred of conservatives and President Donald Trump.
This is based on CNN’s review of Hodgkinson’s Facebook profiles, public records, and three years of impassioned letters to his local newspaper.
“Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.” he posted on his personal Facebook page on March 22.
“Republicans are the Taliban of the USA,” he posted in February.

The Illinois man who in June opened fire on Republican members of Congress at a baseball practice in Alexandria had “cased the field” for weeks and was spotted watching the lawmakers play the day before the shooting rampage, according to new report issued Friday.
Authorities said they believe James Hodgkinson selected Eugene Simpson Stadium Park as a target as early as April, when he took pictures of the field, which were later found on his phone. That was shortly after he had driven to Alexandria, Virginia, in a white Ford conversion van, which he lived out of for months.
The details are among those contained in a 41-page report by Alexandria Commonwealth’s Attorney Bryan Porter, who concluded that U.S. Capitol and Alexandria police officers were “legally justified” in fatally shooting Hodgkinson after the gunman had wounded four people, including [Republican] House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, and engaged officers in an intense gun battle.

RAHWAY — A Democratic strategist from Union County is defending his use of the hashtags #HuntRepublicanCongressman and #HuntRepublicans, saying they are meant to be a metaphor about “hunting” Republicans out of Congress and not an endorsement of Wednesday’s attack on the Republican congressional baseball team.
Jim Devine, a longtime Democratic strategist who has worked on both local and presidential campaigns and once ran for mayor of Rahway, said he would never condone violence and called the shooting “a terrible tragedy.”
“I’m not advocating violence, but I’m saying I understand it,” Devine said in a phone interview. “I can recognize why it’s happened, because this is the predictable and preventable outcome of 40 years of increasingly vitriolic, violent, corrupt and corporate-controlled rhetoric. This is the chickens coming home to roost.”

RAHWAY — A longtime Democratic operative from Union County has responded to the Wednesday shooting of a congressman by calling for a “hunt” of Republicans.
James Devine posted several messages on Facebook and Twitter following the Alexandra, Virginia, shooting of U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise and several others by a gunman with a history of violence and of making online rantings against Republican officials and their policies.
“We are in a war with selfish, foolish & narcissistic rich people. Why is it a shock when things turn violent?” Devine posted on social media, ending the message with the hashtag: #HuntRepublicanCongressmen
Devine used the hashtag #HuntRepublicans in another message about Scalise speaking at a event hosted by a group founded by racist David Duke.
… “I have little sympathy for the Republican Congressman who got shot today because he viciously opposed President Obama’s effort to reduce gun violence and instead, he accepted more gun lobby money than all but 15 other members of the House of Representatives,” he said on Facebook.
The comments drew criticism from others who follow Devine on Facebook and Twitter.
But Devine told New Jersey 101.5 that he is not backing down, although he insists his comments were meant to shock but not advocate violence.
“It is insensitive and I don’t care. You want me to be politically correct? I don’t have time for that anymore,” he said.
Devine said his tweets were inspired by 2016 tweet by Tea Party-backed U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who repeated a quotation about the 2nd Amendment being about “shoot[ing] at the government when it becomes tyrannical!”

Trump officials hounded and harassed as protester tactics take a turn
Excerpts:
By Andrew O’Reilly, | Fox News
June 2018
The backlash against Trump administration immigration policies has in a matter of days escalated from routine protests to a strategy that includes confronting Cabinet members and other Trump-tied officials in virtually any public venue.
Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters of California over the weekend sought to bring the ‘resistance’ to a new level when she urged supporters to swarm Cabinet members at gas stations and anywhere else they’re seen.
“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters said.
She later told MSNBC that protesters are “going to absolutely harass them.”
The warning comes after White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was asked to leave a Virginia restaurant, all following a tumultuous week where the administration was forced to walk back a policy separating immigrant families caught illegally crossing the border.

Washington (CNN) – Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that civility in America can only begin again if Democrats win back the House or Senate this fall.
“You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about,” Clinton said in an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour. “That’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again. But until then, the only thing that the Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength.”
Clinton alluded to previous controversies — like the 2000 election recount to the “swift boat” attacks against John Kerry in the 2004 presidential election to the confirmation of Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh — as evidence of what she sees as hardball tactics by Republicans.
“I remember what they did to me for 25 years — the falsehoods, the lies, which unfortunately people believe because the Republicans have put a lot of time, money, and effort in promoting them,” Clinton said.
“So when you’re dealing with an ideological party that is driven by the lust for power, that is funded by corporate interests who want a government that does its bidding, it’s — you can be civil, but you can’t overcome what they intend to do unless you win elections.”
Clinton said a top priority of a Democratic House and Senate should be to scrutinize President Donald Trump. Asked if Democrats should impeach Trump, Clinton sidestepped.

Teen says he was harassed for wearing MAGA hat – July 2018
By Morgan Gstalter – 07/21/18:
An Illinois teenager visiting Seattle said he was harassed for wearing one of President Trump’s “Make America Great Again” hats.
Ashton Hess, 17, was on a summer vacation to Washington state with his family when someone knocked his hat off his head, KIRO Radio reported Friday.
“This guy just runs up and hits me in the head, knocking my hat off … he took off down the street with it, spit on it and threw it in the street, and he turned around and started cursing at me for no reason,” Hess told the station.
Hess wrote that he and his family were waiting for a ride outside of the Starbucks Reserve Roastery when the incident occurred. He posted a video to YouTube.
He said the attack was unprovoked.
“Yes, I know what it says,” Hess tells two people in the video after his hat was reportedly knocked to the ground. “That’s my property, dude, come on.”
“Get the f— out of this city,” another person yells. “You’re not welcome here.”
“That’s really necessary. I didn’t do anything to you,” Hess responds as the two people walk away.
What looks like spit is visible on the red hat when Hess picks it up off the ground.
Hess told KIRO Radio that he knew Seattle was a liberal city but never expected to be harassed for showing support for Trump.
“I just want to show what I support without being bugged about it,” he said.
Hess said he documented the incident because he wanted people to see what happened.
“I want to expose the left for what they do … We have a First Amendment right to believe in whatever we want, and when that stuff gets out about the left side doing things like that, I do think it hurts them more than it helps them,” Hess told the radio station.

According to the description of the video teenager Ashton Hess uploaded to YouTube July 18, he was waiting for a bus with his family when a woman suddenly hit him on the head from behind, knocking his iconic red hat to the street.
The women then threw the hat to a person sporting long green hair, who spat on the hat before shouting “get the f*ck out of this city.” The footage does not show the alleged assault, but its aftermath, as Hess walks after the green-haired person, asking for his hat back.

Conclusion
And there you have it…. One very long list about liberals and Democrats who have harassed, stalked, committed violent acts against, or restaurant employees who have refused to serve Republicans or conservatives.
I didn’t even include links to all the news stories about hateful celebrity commentary (by movie actors such as Rosie O’Donnell, De Niro, Alec Baldwin and others) against Trump, Trump voters, Republicans, and conservatives..
Nor did I even link to all the leftist “Black Lives Matter,” Antifa, “Women’s Marches,” and other liberal protest groups that have marched down streets throwing rocks at people, setting buildings on fire, ripping “MAGA” hats off Trump supporters and overturning cars.
In light of all this, the Democrats and liberals are largely responsible for creating a very hostile political climate – not Trump, who just periodically shoots his mouth off at rallies.
Democrats and Liberals need to own their misbehavior (which is frequent and regular) and stop throwing stones at Trump or Republicans or conservatives for the very things they’ve been doing for years now.
