Let’s hear it for equal opportunity objectification of people. Women have been sexually objectified forever, now men are getting a turn at it.

And you know what? I’d rather keep my dignity intact by remaining celibate, rather than disgrace myself by performing sex acts on or with a doll. You’re kind of debasing yourself when you do certain things, and this is one of those things.

Why play with Barbie when you can play with Ken?

Demand for male sex dolls has steadily increased as companies move to accommodate consumers of various sexualities.

Company LumiDolls launched its first sex doll brothel in Barcelona in 2017, and this year launched a location in Nagoya, Japan that will feature its first male dolls, the Daily Star Online reported.

Sergi Prieto, who co-founded the venture, told the outlet that more men wanting to experiment with male dolls.

“We have recently attended to several clients who request an appointment with male dolls and female dolls at the same time,” Prieto told Daily Star Online.

But consumers and manufacturers have one common complaint: the weight.

In a review of a male sex doll in The Sun, Charlotte Rose wrote that her male sex doll weighed about 135 pounds.

“The only feasible sex position you can do is cowgirl,” Rose wrote. “My favorite position is doggy. I think you could probably try it, but you’d need to tie his arms back so he’s not going to fall forward and crush you.”

Brent Lawson, the owner of sex doll manufacturer 1 AM Dolls, told The Post that sales of male sex dolls have increased from around 5 percent to 15 percent since the company first offered them four years ago – the majority of customers being members of the gay and transgender communities.

Most of that boom, he said, is because of a cultural de-stigmatization of the sex toy and openness within the LGBT community – because the dolls remain fairly impractical for straight women.

“People don’t think 70 pounds or so is a lot, but that’s dead weight,” he said. “There are certainly strong women out there but I don’t think they have fun doing most of the work with something that heavy.”

The company sells a male model with a fully flexible penis and attachments to transform female dolls into transgender dolls.

“The problem we find in the market for women is that male dolls can’t thrust. Women have to do all the work,” he said. “Realistically, and I don’t want to be too graphic, but the only feasible position is to straddle it.”
