I see news stories like this one, and it makes me wonder about all the sexual hedonists out there who mock more conservative-values types who don’t engage in sex outside of marriage, or who don’t just ‘put out,’ – makes me wonder how they feel about this sort of story.
Some of these include the secular or progressive Christian feminists who mock women who remain virgins until they marry, or who don’t totally reject ‘purity culture’ teachings.
Celibate persons such as myself tend to get ridiculed by a lot of people, but I can tell you one thing – I’ll never be hacked to death for meeting up with some guy for group sex on an online app, or meeting anyone for sex. There are definitely worse things in life than going without sex.
Also, this evil wacko dude was way older than the murder victim, and we all know how I feel about “May December” relationships.

A Nebraska man who murdered and dismembered a young woman he met on Tinder and then slashed his own neck in court during his trial was sentenced to death this week.
Aubrey Trail, a 54-year-old thief and con man, was convicted of strangling 24-year-old Sydney Loofe with an electrical cord in 2017, then cutting her body into 14 pieces that he dumped in various rural roadside ditches.
At trial, witnesses testified that Trail and his girlfriend, Bailey Boswell, 27, had solicited them for group sex and talked of the occult and gaining “powers” through killing.
A friend of Loofe showed investigators her final social media post, which helped them track down the suspects. It was a selfie shared to Snapchat captioned, “Ready for my date.” She was expecting to meet Boswell for a second date.
…During the hearing, Trail recanted his claim at trial that Loofe had died accidentally of “erotic asphyxiation” and admitted to tying her up and killing her because she “freaked out”…
…Prosecutors said during the trial that Trail and Boswell had planned to kill someone and lured Loofe to her demise by using the Tinder app.
Hours before Loofe’s death, surveillance video at a Lincoln Home Depot store showed Trail and Boswell buying hacksaws, tinsnips and other tools used in the crime.

Sentencing was handed down Wednesday for a man convicted of killing a woman whose dismembered remains were later found in trash bags along rural Nebraska roads.
Convicted killer Aubrey Trail entered Saline County district courtroom facing life in prison or the death penalty.
…He said the murder was a spur of the moment and not planned for days.
Trail said Boswell lured Loofe using the dating app Tinder.
When Loofe got their apartment in Wilber, she “freaked out.”
He said he had no doubt she would tell authorities about “their lifestyle,” so he strangled her with an electrical cord.
…Trail and Boswell purchase tools to dismember and dispose of Loofe’s body before Boswell brought her to the apartment.
…Johnson said during the trial, there was testimony that Trail enjoyed bragging about the murder and joking that he drank Loofe’s blood.
The judge said Loofe was “needlessly” dismembered to satisfy Trail’s desires and so he did not have to hide the body. Unnecessary mutilation is one factor considered when establishing exceptional depravity.
Johnson said Trail is not low-functioning and was not intoxicated when the murder occurred. She said his attempt to dispose of Loofe’s remains proves he understands the wrongfulness of murder.
