Leftists Call Abstinence and Waiting for Sex Until Marriage Following SCOTUS (Supreme Court) Ruling Approving Texas Heartbeat Law
Well, leftists are idiots and often hypocritical, so this isn’t surprising.
They sit around for years on social media with their “#SexPositive” and “#ShoutYourStatus” hash tags, but then, they go all “let’s be sexually abstinent in protest of this new pro-life law in Texas!”
This isn’t new, actually. I’ve been running this blog and the SoloLoner Twitter account for several years now, and a few years ago, there was a similar upset on Twitter where liberal feminists were screaming and yelling that women should with-hold sex from men until one of their demands was met (which I think also had to do with abortion also, but I cannot recall off hand exactly what the feminists at the time were upset about.)
I’m an adult celibate… I’ve seen most secular feminists (and even some progressive, Christian feminists) mock the concept of abstinence outside of marriage, or ‘virginity until marriage,’ until they start using sexual abstinence as some kind of threat against some political position they don’t like.
The same feminists that are shouting down pro-life laws are often the same ones who fight for biological men (who falsely claim to be “transwomen”) to be allowed into women’s only areas (Link): so they can sexually harass or rape biological women.

Left-wing actress Bette Midler suggests “all women refuse to have sex with men” in reaction to the Texas “heartbeat” law, which bans most abortions after six weeks of pregnancy.
“I suggest that all women refuse to have sex with men until they are guaranteed the right to choose by Congress,” the Loose Women actress tweeted on Thursday.
All it took for lefties to discover chastity and virtue was outlawing child murder. Who would have known?
….Elsewhere, people were arguing that unmarried women should [checks notes] ensure that a man signs a contract of sorts that legally binds him into the relationship so that she and their child can be financially supported.
… There used to be a word for such a contract. It starts with “M” I think. Whatever it is, leftists are saying that women should wait to be in that binding relationship before having kids. What a novel idea!!
I’m not the only one who noticed the irony at play here.
