Ashley Madison Data Reveals Republican Men Are More Likely To Cheat On Their Wives

Ashley Madison Data Reveals Republican Men Are More Likely To Cheat On Their Wives

If you’re new to this blog: I was a Republican for many years.  I’m not, never have I ever been, a liberal Democrat.

But I’ve noticed that Republicans are sometimes hypocritical about all the Family Values stuff they routinely spout off about. This is another example of that hypocrisy.

One thing that came out of the hack on Ashley Madison was the information that the site was overwhelmingly dominated by male users. Data is now revealing, however, that among those men using the site, the majority (Link): were Republicans.

Ashley Madison is the world’s leading website for married people seeking additional relationships. According to their numbers, for all of those conservatives who claim “family values,” they’re (Link): more apt to compromise their morality if it is expedient for them to do so.

“The Republican party has often touted its traditional values with a (Link): foundation based on Judeo-Christian ethics, ethics of course that do not align with adultery,” noted a release on the topic.

Pastor Outed on Ashley Madison Cheating Site Commits Suicide

Times I’m glad I’m single and don’t have sex….

(Link) Pastor Outed on Ashley Madison Site Commits Suicide

Excerpts:

  • He was married with two children. His daughter, Callie, was teaching in front of 250 college students when she got the call. Her father had killed himself.
  • It was August 24, six days after hackers exposed the names of millions of people who had signed up for Ashley Madison, the notorious site for those seeking affairs. Gibson’s name was on the list.
  • His wife, Christi, discovered her husband’s body.

  • …In his suicide note, Gibson chronicled his demons. He also mentioned Ashley Madison.
  • “He talked about depression. He talked about having his name on there, and he said he was just very, very sorry,” Christi said. “What we know about him is that he poured his life into other people, and he offered grace and mercy and forgiveness to everyone else, but somehow he couldn’t extend that to himself.”
  • …Gibson said her husband was likely worried he’d lose his job.”It wasn’t so bad that we wouldn’t have forgiven it, and so many people have said that to us, but for John, it carried such a shame,” she said.

Gibson, 56, was known as a great teacher with a “quirky laugh,” but he had struggled with depression and addiction in the past, his family said.

Hypocrisy: Secular Pundits Judge Christian Sexuality: Josh Duggar’s So-Called Vanilla Sexual Preferences Deemed Dull

Hypocrisy: Secular Pundits Judge Christian Sexuality: Josh Duggar’s So-Called Vanilla Sexual Preferences Deemed Dull

—————–

Notice: The following post contains obscene language as excerpted from other sites. I may toss in one or two of my own expletives.

—————————–

I usually critique Christian views and commentary about sex and related matters here on this blog. And I end up not having flattering things to say about quite a bunch of it.

However, every so often, I see an incredibly outlandish, stupid, inflammatory, or hypocritical editorial or report by secular left wing, liberal Christian, ex Christian, or atheistic sources that unfairly and inaccurately skewer Christians, Christianity, or certain Christian beliefs or practices, and I feel the need to discuss it. This is another one of those times.

Unless you have been living under a rock that last few months, you should already be familiar with Josh Duggar, raised in the infamous Christian patriarchal Duggar family of the reality television series “19 Kids And Counting.”

A story broke a few months ago that Josh molested some of his sisters and a babysitter when he was a teenager, and his parents did not get him proper treatment for it, and they and the sisters continue to diminish the gravity of that entire ordeal.

More recently, Josh Duggar, who is 27 years old and is married with about three or four small children, has been in the news for apparently having signed up for the Ashley Madison site, a site where married people can find willing partners to have extra marital flings. I blogged about that (Link): here.

A bit after that story broke, a porn actress and stripper claims that Josh paid her over $1,000 for a sexual encounter that she said was scary and a little violent. She also said, I think, that Duggar had been following her on social media for awhile and had sent her messages.

As far as Josh Duggar’s leaked Ashley Madison information is concerned, his sexual preferences in a woman partner were revealed by several web sites.

Here is that list of Duggar’s sexual preferences taken from the Ashley Madison leak, as they appear on a site called “Preen.” (More on Preen’s coverage in a moment. For now, here’s Duggar’s list):

  • – conventional sex
  • – experimenting with sex toys
  • – one-night stands
  • – open to experimentation
  • – gentleness
  • – good with your hands
  • – sensual massage
  • – extended foreplay/teasing
  • – bubble bath for two
  • – likes to give oral sex
  • – likes to receive oral sex
  • – someone I can teach
  • – someone who can teach me
  • – kissing
  • – cuddling and hugging
  • – sharing fantasies
  • – sex talk

Christians Want to Hold Adulterers Accountable but Give Adult Single Fornicators a Pass (Tim Challies Blog)

Christians Want to Hold Adulterers Accountable but Give Adult Single Fornicators a Pass

To be consistent, shouldn’t Challies’ wife’s blog post about adultery contain the line, “We’re all adulterers now, even if we’ve been faithful spouses”?, especially if she cares to match husband Tim’s previous “We’re all fornicators now, even if we’re virgins” post?

I saw this blog post via Defend the Sheep’s Twitter today, and I find it oh so interesting for reasons I shall explain farther below:

(Link):  My Wife’s Plea to Christian Men – From Challies blog

The above comes from Tim Challies’ blog, and was purportedly written by his wife, Aileen. I would assume that Mr. Challies is fine with his wife’s editorial and even agrees with it, since it is hosted on his blog.

Before I explain why I find this amusing and forehead smacking worthy, here are some excerpts from the blog – which pertains to all the recent news stories of well known (and even not that well known) Christian married men who have been caught having extra-marital affairs:

(Link):  My Wife’s Plea to Christian Men

Excerpts:

  • Aug 31, 2015, by Aileen
  • …Why do so many men, and even so many Christian men, have such weakness when it comes to sexual sin? But even then I still had hope, hope in the truth of the gospel, hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.
  •
  • In the years since, I have listened to more stories of more Christian men falling, wept with more women, and prayed a whole lot.
  •
  • …I have counseled single young women to pursue purity. …I had hope.
  •
  • ..Then came Ashley Madison and the suggestion that hundreds of pastors would have to resign after being caught with accounts on this website that glorifies adultery. And it’s not just pastors—hundreds of other Christian men, both single and married, have been caught up in the scandal. Now there are more broken homes
  •
  • I have fought to understand the struggle men face. I have fought to have compassion. I have encouraged wives to extend forgiveness, to willingly and joyfully give themselves to their husbands.
  •
  • But you know what? I just don’t know how I can keep doing it. Not when so many husbands are deceptively defiling the marriage bed. Not when so many young, single men are recklessly defiling the future marriage bed. Not when so many men seem just plain unwilling to change.

Aileen then spends the next few paragraphs scolding and shaming Christian men about their sexual sin. Seriously. She even interjects a few Bible verses here and there. She has several statements directed at Christian men starting with the phrase “You should” or “You are supposed to…”

She continues:

  • You know that the Holy Spirit equips you to succeed. God has given you everything you need in the gospel. So why do you keep failing? The only conclusion I can come to is that you are so consumed with self-gratification that you are not willing to fight, and I mean really willing to fight, this sin. If it’s not that you can’t, it must be that you won’t.

Contrast this shaming and scolding of Christian men, and her point that men can practice sexual self control, with a post by her husband Tim Challies, where he seems to think that sexual sin among unmarried men (and women) is inevitable, singles lack sexual self control, and he actually said in some post or another that “all fornicators are virgins now.”

Why Are We Denying that Women Used Ashley Madison? by R. Margolis

Why are we denying that women used Ashley Madison? by R. Margolis

Aug 25, 2015

When it emerged that the hack on affair website Ashley Madison had potentially outed 36 million users, we the public berated the unfaithful.

But, if you look closely at the media coverage, it’s only the site’s male users who are being called to account. “Pull up your pants, gents. The game is up,” said Business Insider. “Don’t cry for the men of Ashley Madison,” said Britain’s Daily Mirror. “They deserve all they get.” After all, they’re the insatiable hound dogs so desperate to sow their maritally frustrated oats that they thought nothing of using their real email address to sign up for a site promising both affairs and discretion.

Meanwhile, women who use the site — whose details appear on that same list — are being ignored. “Ashley Madison proves women aren’t interested in casual sex,” screamed a New York Post headline.

Sure, it seems very likely that around five out of six of Ashley Madison’s genuine clients are men (allegedly the site (Link): added fake female accounts to lure more men), but that still means many millions of women signed on to have an affair.

That’s not an insignificant number — especially for a website marketed predominately at men.

Yet, the press diligently focuses its scorn on those reprehensible testicle-owners who sought sex with women who aren’t their wives.

Is it really so hard to believe that perhaps some female signups also drooled lustfully at the prospect of covert extramarital sex?

Ashley Madison Has a Stupidity Factor – Men (by B Ellen)

Ashley Madison has a stupidity factor – men

(Link): Ashley Madison has a stupidity factor – men by B. Ellen

  • It’s generally only men who go to such lengths to get sex. For women, supply exceeds demand
  • Am I supposed to feel sorry for those exposed by the Ashley Madison security breach? Well, I don’t.
  • It’s not a moral judgment on my part; it’s just always painful watching people posturing as wild freethinkers, unfettered by convention. To my mind, AM subscribers come across as faux-sexual libertines – too wussy, miserly and/or timid to either have a proper, full-blown affair or hire a sex worker.

  • The irony is that most of the women on the site are now said to be (ta-da!) sex workers.
  • Either that or photographs of fake-women, who don’t exist beyond their beguiling “sexually available” pixels.
  • Then there’s the stupidity factor, and I’m sorry but it’s predominantly male stupidity.

  • Unlike women, men were charged to enter (and indeed exit) the site, which might have given them a small clue as to what was going on. Which hinged on the same thing that’s always gone on – that it’s generally only men who go to such extraordinary lengths to get laid, because women simply don’t need to.
  • Some of you might have noticed from your own days of going to nightclubs how frequently females were let in for free, because that was the only way to get the (fee-paying) males in – and how the reverse never seemed to occur. As the Ashley Madison payment system shows, in some ways this never stops.

  • However “hot” or otherwise, however sexually driven or otherwise a woman might be, she knows she can always get sex – so long as sex is all she wants and she’s not too choosy about the partner.

  • It’s in the female DNA – or at least this is the Ellen view – not to worry about obtaining sex, only about the quality of the sex (and the man). It’s a clear-cut marketplace issue. Women know that the supply will always be there and that the supply will always exceed the demand.
  • Let’s be clear: there aren’t hordes of insane, conceited, delusional women walking around, thinking: “I’m so hot that I can get any man I want!” The whole point is that women don’t have to be particularly hot to get sex.

  • While to a straight man being able to always get laid might look like a super-power, in reality it’s not, unless it truly doesn’t matter to a woman who she has sex with.
  • Once you put desire (whom the woman might want) into the equation, this “power” is exposed for what it is – ultimately worthless. What does it matter to a woman that she could end up having sex with somebody/anybody from a bar/club/website if there’s no one that she’s interested in?
  • Moreover, if a woman wants something deeper, perhaps more relationship-shaped, then that’s where the game sharply changes and the playing field levels. This isn’t necessarily because women want relationships more, and spend their evenings sobbing into their cat’s fur about the non-arrival of their prince, but because finding a special, lasting connection is extremely difficult for both sexes.

My husband forgot Mother’s Day flowers, so I had sex with someone else – New York Post Says Number of Married Women Applying on Cheater Site Ashley Madison Increases After Mother’s Day

My husband forgot Mother’s Day flowers, so I had sex with someone else – New York Post Says Number of Married Women Applying on Cheater Site Ashley Madison Increases After Mother’s Day

In light of stories like this one below, HOW can conservative Christians, Republicans, and my fellow social conservatives continue to insist that “the family” is the bedrock of society, that marriage is necessary for keeping social fiber intact, or that marriage instills qualities such as godliness and maturity in a person?

Notice also that the cheating woman in this story got married to her husband while she was in her mid-20s, which is the age at which conservatives and Christians (and including the ones who promote “early marriage”) say a man and woman should marry, but this very fact – her marrying in her 20s – is what contributed in part to this woman feeling bad about herself, about her marriage, and why she says she cheated on her husband.

  • The adulterers website Ashley Madison is expecting a massive 500 percent spike in sign-ups from women on the day after Mother’s Day.
  • According to its data, there was a 442 percent increase in sign-ups (compared to the daily norm) after last year’s holiday, following an upward trend since 2010.
  • So what drives a woman to commit adultery after spending time with her family on Mother’s Day? Ann, a 42-year-old finance worker from Bergen County, NJ, who asked The Post not to use her last name, tells Jane Ridley her cheating story.
  • Opening the Mother’s Day card last year from my husband, Derek*, my heart sank. We’d been married for more than 15 years, and I was the mom of his two young children — but he hadn’t even thought to buy me flowers, let alone jewelry.
  • The whole run-up to Mother’s Day had been depressing. It made me feel old, like I was losing my sexiness. My marriage was stuck in a rut.

  • We’d gotten hitched when I was in my mid-20s. Things were great at first, but they started to fall apart almost as soon as our kids arrived.

  • Derek is only 48, but he might as well be in his 70s — he’s always tired and unmotivated. We have sex about once a week, though it’s hardly passionate. I never orgasm and just go through the motions.

  • So, the day after Mother’s Day, I set up a profile on the cheaters’ website Ashley Madison.

I’d had a bit to drink and was feeling flirtatious, so I wrote how I was a voluptuous brunette looking to have an affair.

  • Within minutes, I had responses from several guys, including a man called Tom with three children. He was 42, worked in the medical field and his marriage was even more dysfunctional than mine. He wasn’t having sex with his wife at all.
