The Shiny, Happy People Program about Bill Gothard and the Duggar Family on Prime – Why Women Stay In These Awful Marriages and the Victim Blaming Aimed at Them by Christian Abuse Survivor Advocates

A few days ago, Amazon Prime made available a several program long commentary and investigation into the Duggar family (of “19 Kids and Counting” fame), as well as the teachings the Duggars followed, which were created by Bill Gothard and IBLP (Institute in Basic Life Principles) and ATI (Advanced Training Institute).

A lot of Christian parents raised their children under Gothard’s IBLP and ATI teachings, and many of them say as adults that they were damaged by those teachings.

Several of the women say when they were children or teens and worked under Gothard at his headquarters that they were sexually harassed. The show says at least one woman claims that Gothard, or his brother (I don’t recall which) raped her (the brother also worked with or for Gothard and this ATI / IBLP organization).

The purpose of my post here is not to give all the ins and outs of toxic Gothard teachings, but to note one or two aspects from the show. Before I do that, if you need or want some more background about any of this, here are a few links:

Before I get to the main point of this post – which would be “Christian abuse survivor advocates” who regularly harshly criticize Anna Duggar or women like her for staying in abusive marriages, I wanted to address one or two other issues first.

A MUM cleared of murdering her newborn baby by smothering him in clingfilm has admitted killing the toddler – a year after she killed her helpless daughter.

Ineta Dzinguviene, 38, placed the wrap over the mouth and nose of Paulius Dzingus hours after he was born in Fraserburgh, in April, 2010.

The Lithuanian had her conviction quashed in March on appeal but today pleaded guilty to culpable homicide at the High Court in Edinburgh.

Paulius was the second infant to die at her hands after she killed a little daughter Paulina in her native country in 2009.

This is evil, it is vile.

This piece of garbage killed an infant out of pure selfishness, prioritizing her “sex life” over the life of a baby, her very own baby.

I do not, nor have I ever, supported abortion. If you’re a woman, you know that having sex with a man may result in pregnancy – and you should take responsibility for that, which means carrying the child to term and putting the baby up for adoption, or, at the very least, use birth control if you’re going to have sex – but birth control isn’t 100% effective.

If you don’t want to risk the possibility of pregnancy, DO NOT HAVE SEX. It’s not complicated.

Sadly, this is not the only news report I’ve seen of this type of thing. I don’t know if I’ve blogged about it before or not, but I remember years ago reading a similar news item about a teen girl who got an abortion (I think she killed the baby at home? Don’t recall the details), but she said the reason she killed the baby inside her is that she wouldn’t be able to fit into her prom dress.

In the last few years, I’ve seen one news story of a grandmother who helped her granddaughter kill the granddaughter’s new born infant, when the teen girl went into labor at home. They killed the baby, burned it, and buried it somewhere around their property.

Saw another story that was like that one, only it was either a father or grandfather who helped the teen girl murder the new born and bury it – in one of these stories, the girl in question, if I remember right, was a high school cheerleader, and she felt having an infant would get in the way of her being on the cheerleading squad.

I also have news stories on this blog of an adult woman or two who murdered their toddler children because they were tired of being mothers, or they felt they wouldn’t be able to get a boyfriend if they had children.

This news story is from 2014, but I did not see it until recently.

I follow a number of left of center, radical feminists on twitter who unfortunately defend abortion.

I only follow them because they speak out against the progressive transgender agenda – on that much, we have agreement, but I am usually grieved to see them arguing in favor of abortion on Twitter. I usually just scroll by and say nothing, because I didn’t follow them to start fights about abortion.

In light of horrendous news stories like the one below, I wish those pro-choice women would reconsider their views on abortion.

This is (very sadly and unfortunately) not the first type of news story I’ve seen like this and that I’ve posted to this blog.

I’ve seen news stories over years past of both mothers and fathers who sell their sons or daughters off to strangers for drugs or money, so that a stranger can rape and/or murder their child, or some of them do it just for kicks and giggles. This is beyond evil. Beyond.

It’s bad enough there are people are willing and wanting to rape children, but that their own PARENT (or other family member) is the one to sell them off for that express purpose is – I don’t even have the words for it.

These types of stories infuriate me. I’d love to meet the people who do the selling and the buying and the harming of these children and rip their throats out.

I’m not “anti motherhood,” nor anti-Mother’s Day holiday, but I swear to God, so long as we have “mothers” like this one in the world,
women who are willing to sell their OWN three year old daughters to men for drug money to be raped and murdered,
my fellow conservatives can damn well shut the hell up about “honoring” and “revering” motherhood already,
and stop their bellyaching, bitching, and moaning about corporations allowing people to opt out of their Mother’s day advertising like that’s the biggest sin in the world – it’s not.

A mother has been accused of stabbing her two-year-old daughter to death before eating her liver, in a gruesome case that has shocked Kenya.

Olivia Naserian, 24, appeared in court today charged with killing young Glory Njeri before cutting open her body and eating parts of her organs.

Neighbours who witnessed the horrific attack through a window say they saw the crazed mother stab her daughter several times while singing hymns and reciting the alphabet, according to local reports.

The locals of the residential estate quickly alerted the authorities with police arriving to arrest the woman on suspicion of murder.

A Virginia woman has been found guilty of murdering her two young daughters in what prosecutors said was a twisted attempt to get revenge on her ex-husband, who planned to move away with one of the girls.

Veronica Youngblood, 37, had admitted that she killed her kids, 15-year-old Sharon Castro and 5-year-old Brooklynn Youngblood — but she pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to the Aug. 5, 2018 murders, according to the Washington Post.

However, the jury was not convinced that mental illness was a major factor in the slayings.

A phony Hasidic dad who found social-media acclaim for adopting nine boys has been charged with sexually abusing most of them — while out on bond in an earlier child sex case, according to disturbing reports.

Single dad Hayim Nissim Cohen, 38, regularly blogged about his “unique family” in Houston, gaining nearly 200,000 followers on TikTok.

But “behind all that is excessive abuse,” local prosecutor Janna Oswald told a recent court hearing, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Cohen — who claimed to be a Hasidic Jew from Brooklyn despite being born Jeffrey Lujan Vejil in the Lone Star State — was busted last month after one of his sons went on a podcast to anonymously report being raped and abused, the local paper noted.

A New York teacher is being sued for allegedly manipulating a fifth-grade girl into changing gender without her parents’ consent.

The nine-year-old child, who was taught by Debra Rosenquist at Terryville Road Elementary School in Long Island, identifies as a girl but was being called a boy’s name and given male pronouns in class.

The damning lawsuit claims that Rosenquist started calling the fifth-grader ‘Leo’ and using he/him pronouns in class in October 2021 – unbeknownst to the girl’s parents.

It was only months later in January 2022 – when the girl was caught drawing a picture of a suicidal girl with the words ‘I wanna kill myself’ – that her parents were informed that she was being called male pronouns in school.

Rosenquist also allegedly read from LGBT books that were not on the school district’s curriculum, and told her students to ‘try being gay’ even if they were not.

Two parents with Belgian passports were detained by police after leaving their baby at the check-in at the Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, according to the Jerusalem Post.

The couple attempted to board a Ryanair flight from Tel Aviv to Brussels, but they didn’t have a ticket for their baby.

They refused to pay for one and seemed to have left their baby in the stroller as they walked to passport control.

A British man devised elaborate and “unbelievable” schemes to meet underaged girls.

The accused pedophile allegedly created multiple fake social media profiles, pretended to be a schoolgirl by dressing in uniform, and attempted to enroll in the minor’s school.

Anthony Lonsdale, 21, pleaded guilty to eight counts of grooming and possession of sexually explicit images of children this week in court. Lonsdale was sentenced to seven years in jail.

Plus, a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and five-year restraining order were enacted to prevent the accused pedophile from contacting the alleged victims.

An infant boy who was allegedly strangled by his mother has died three days after his two siblings were pronounced dead.

Eight-month-old Callan Clancy, who was discovered unconscious in his home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, died at 11.18am on Friday, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.

Callan was hospitalized on Tuesday after prosecutors found ‘evidence of harm’.

The district attorney’s office earlier this week said Callan’s mother Lindsay Clancy, 32, was suspected of strangling her two older children, Dawson, 3, and Cora, 5.

What you are about to read is the epitome of pure evil. A journalist from Townhall.com wrote a horrifying story Tuesday about an LGBTQ ring involving a gay couple allegedly raping and pimping out their adopted children to pedophiles in the Atlanta, Georgia suburbs.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that both men were accused of making porn with the children, who are adopted siblings. The children were rescued and taken by officials.

William and Zachary have since been indicted by a grand jury on the following charges: incest, aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation, felony sexual exploitation of children, and felony prostitution of a minor.

…Before their arrests, William and Zachary were prominent gay rights activists in the Atlanta area. They marched in the Atlanta Pride Parade and AIDS Walk Atlanta on a regular basis.

Zachary is also a huge Biden fan and devoted supporter of Black Lives Matter. Even more disturbingly, he backs the minor-attracted persons (MAPs) movement which wants to normalize adult relations with children.

A gay couple from Georgia charged with molesting their two adopted sons and using them to record child porn also allegedly pimped them out to members of a local pedophile ring, according to a disturbing new report.

A months-long investigation by Townhall revealed that William Dale Zulock, 33, and Zachary Jacoby Zulock, 35, allegedly used social media to prostitute their two elementary-aged sons.

William Zulock, a government worker, and Zachary Zulock, a banker, were indicted in August 2022 on charges of of incest, aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation, felony sexual exploitation of children and felony prostitution of a minor.

But the shocking investigation reveals in more detail the sickening abuse the boys suffered.

For the first time, it was revealed that the men allegedly pimped out their older sons, now 11 and 9 years old, to two other men in a pedophile ring.
