A transgender pastor (I think this is a biological man pretending to be a woman(?) – or is this a biological woman pretending to be a man?), who uses the pronoun “they,” (eye roll),  got another pastor (a Nelson Rabell-Gonzalez) at the same church fired, and now the congregants are construing that and several other non-racist actions by the trans pastor as being “racist.”

The trans guy is claiming the harassment is so bad that he had to wear a bullet proof vest to some church services.

Progressive Intersectionalism, LOL!

Usually in the Hierarchy of Victimhood, progressives put Transgenders at the top, but in this case, they’re choosing the Latino church members above the trans guy.

LOS ANGELES — An openly transgender cleric from San Francisco, who made history last year with an appointment as a bishop by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, has resigned amid allegations of racism after firing the pastor of a predominantly Latino congregation.

The Rev. Megan Rohrer, who uses the pronoun “they,” led one of the church’s 65 synods, overseeing nearly 200 congregations in Northern California and northern Nevada. They were elected in May 2021 to serve a six-year term as bishop of the Sierra Pacific Synod.

In a letter to the synod Saturday, Rohrer said they were resigning because of “the constant misinformation, bullying and harassment” they experienced after the synod voted to remove the pastor of Mision Latina Luterana on Dec. 12, the Feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe, a significant holiday for congregants of the Stockton, California, church.

Rohrer fired the Rev. Nelson Rabell-Gonzalez after an investigation by the church into verbal harassment and retaliation allegations against the pastor, all of which he has denied. The synod council voted on Dec. 11 to vacate Rabell-Gonzalez’s call as a mission developer and to terminate his employment after they said he refused to fulfill certain mandatory requirements.

Rohrer was not available to speak with The Associated Press on Tuesday, saying they were “trying to rest and be with my family.”

Well, LOL! So much for “experts,” I guess.

An abuse survivor who is quick to go on witch hunts against supposed abusers (calling himself or herself “BAaccountablity” on Twitter) screamed at me a few weeks ago that I have to believe anything and everything that “GRACE” (an organization which studies how Christian groups handle abuse) says, does, or believes, nor can I question any view or practice of “GRACE” because they are “experts” at abuse
(and apparently they’re also experts at Codependency, according to “BAaccountability,” though when I visited the GRACE site a few weeks ago, I saw nothing about the topic of Codependency at their site using their search feature.
Time, energy, and interest permitting, I will be making more blog posts about that topic and more in the future.)

I’m sure that the people at GRACE are not complete morons nor totally inept concerning the topic of abuse (I am assuming).

However…
Just because a group or person are considered “experts” in their field does not mean they are infallible or lacking a bad or misplaced agenda.

They may be somewhat competent at commenting on abuse, but those who are employed there (at GRACE – or at Guidepost Solutions, for that matter) are still capable of making mistakes, like any other group or person.

That a group or person may be considered an “expert” on a topic (and given that even experts can and do make mistakes) does not mean that I must un-questioningly or un-critically agree with any and all opinions of all their contributors, or that they necessarily know everything about abuse, abusive dynamics, Codependency, or understand Codependency correctly. (More on that in a possible future post or two.)

Here lately, these “experts” at Guidepost Solutions tweeted a “pride month” type comment with a rainbow flag.

I’ve nothing against homosexual people (at least not the ones who are not far left authoritarians), but if a group or organization is virtue signaling during pride month by slapping rainbows in their tweets, it tells me, it hints, that they just may be leftist, progressive, and “woke,” which makes them a little suspect in my eyes.

If you’re someone who is serious about fighting abuse in churches and getting churches to be more transparent in how they handle abuse, my advice to you is to drop any and all “woke” commentary, symbols, and language from your site or social media, because most of the churches you’re at odds with are conservative, and conservatives are not “pro-woke.”

I am a conservative, and I can tell you right now most conservatives will tune you out the moment they see “intersectional,” woke type language, view points, or imagery from you in person, in e-mails, texts, or on your social media.

You either need to make your “save and help victims!” a priority, or you make your leftist politics a priority here – you cannot have both if your goal is to honestly get conservative churches to fix how they usually mishandle abuse cases in their midst.

The far left is trying to erode boundaries around sexuality – they are trying to normalize pedophilia (links to more content about this issue below).

That is part and parcel of the LGBTQ movement (that is what the rainbow flag has now come to symbolize); the LGBTQ movement is not about getting Christians or mainstream Americans to merely “tolerate” the idea that two men want to kiss or marry each other.

It’s moved way beyond that, if you have been paying attention the last few years.

I agree that most churches don’t properly or sensitively deal with abuse (whether rape of women, molestation of children, or wife abuse), but the way to tackle it is not via “woke” organizations that are inadvertently platforming pedophilia.

As the secular firm’s tweet made the rounds on social media, Randy C. The PTA at Hopi Elementary of the Scottsdale Unified School District hired Hunter to perform at a fundraiser to benefit the school on April 9, the Daily Mail reported. The event, “Hopi Night Fever,” pulled in $300,000 for “essential programs and services.”

Lassen, a self-described ​​”ardent community volunteer, activist, and ally to the LGBTQ+ community” who co-chairs the Scottsdale Parent Council’s diversity, equity and inclusion committee, sent an email to the PTA accusing them of promoting racism, according to the Arizona Daily Independent.

Megan Livengood, head of the Hopi PTA, responded to the message that Hunter is in fact a Black man.

Two local diversity advocates in Arizona are taking heat after calling a school district racist for hiring a DJ to perform in blackface — but it turns out the DJ was black.

Stuart Rhoden and Jill Lassen — who specialize in diversity, equity and inclusion — lambasted the Scottsdale Unified School District’s Hopi Elementary PTA for its decision to hire Kim Koko Hunter, 56, a local black DJ, at a charity event.

Both Rhoden and Lassen, who are involved in diversity work in the school district, slammed the school after seeing a picture of Hunter, only to later learn his race, according to the Arizona Daily Independent.

“The DJ that the Hopi PTA hire[d] was, in fact a Black man,” Hopi PTA president Megan Livengood wrote in response to Lassen in a message obtained by the outlet. “It is insulting that you feel myself or PTA condone racist behavior or encourage it by posting on social media.”

Progressives keep wanting to shame White people for being White, until they then veer into their weird habit of depicting Black people as being White.

I refer to the progressive tendency to skip back and forth between defining “White” to mean “light skinned person” to defining “White” or “Whiteness” as being “Western culture and ideals,” or “disagreeing with Marxism and other far left views and far left hobby horses.”

This means, if a person with dark skin disagrees with far left politics, the far left deems that person “White adjacent.”

This is how we end up with some (Link): very bizarre news headlines where Black conservative or Black libertarian men and women are referred to by far left liberals as being “White.”

A church in suburban Chicago has told parishioners it will abstain from performing any music that is associated with White people during the season of Lent.

“In our worship services throughout Lent, we will not be using any music or liturgy written or composed by white people,” the website for the First United Church of Oak Park reads. “Our music will be drawn from the African American spirituals tradition, from South African freedom songs, from Native American traditions, and many, many more.”

If you’re a progressive, a believer in CRT, “woke” culture, Democrats, and/or a (reasonable) liberal, you really need to occasionally take a break from criticizing perceived or real sexual abuse or sexism among conservatives, Christians, evangelicals and Republicans, to point out and correct the perverts in your own political groups. 

I myself am not going to make a lot of hay out of this woman using the words “matriarchy” (which I know will send anti-feminist, pro-patriarchy, pro-complementarian Christians into a tail spin),
and I wouldn’t even say I’m against masturbation (but I don’t agree with teaching it to little children, as this woman below does),
and I don’t even particularly care that she practices witch craft (though, again, I can imagine all non-progressive Christians  will care very much, and they will be citing Old Testament verses about, “I suffer not a witch to live!” in their reaction to this, and so on). 

I don’t really have a lot of the same objections to what follows as most conservatives (secular and Christians) will have with this (in the areas of witch craft, “matriarchy,” etc, as I don’t care about that), but I do think it’s highly questionable to be emphasizing sex as much as some segments of culture do, in particular to children who are not even out of elementary school yet. 

Oh, LOL, I just saw in this article below where it’s mentioned that this woman uses “visual aids” to accompany her sex talks to children – I just did a post a couple weeks ago about an atheist lady in an atheist video who was mocking or criticizing Christians for using visual aids in Christian-based sexual purity lectures. Here’s another example where Non-Christians seek to propagandize sex with children by using visual aids.

Last month, a clip of Revd Woodman speaking on a “queer theology” panel made the rounds on Catholic Twitter. After saying that “God is queer,” he claims that Jesus “transgenders himself” in the Bible.

Revd Woodman points to passages where Jesus describes Himself as a mother hen who “gathers her brood under her wings” (Matthew 23:37). He also claims that Jesus took on a “woman’s role” when he washed the Disciples’ feet (John 13). Christ “becomes the woman at that point,” says Revd Woodman.

In what is likely to become a recurring news story over the next few years, an Afghan refugee known only as Tariq (many Afghans use only one name) was convicted on Monday of the sexual assault of a three-year-old girl at Quantico Marine Corps Base in Virginia, where he had been brought by Americans anxious to give him a new lease on life in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

For his part, Tariq explained that what he did was perfectly acceptable back in Afghanistan, a guileless and accurate statement that portends more trouble to come from the Afghan evacuees that Biden’s handlers are busy resettling now in American communities.

Associated Press reported that Tariq “was arrested in September at Camp Upshur in Quantico after Marines observed him fondling the girl, who was not related to him, above her clothes on her private parts.” Since there were witnesses, the conviction was not hard to obtain, but Tariq was surprised that anyone would object:
“According to court papers, Tariq tried to explain through interpreters that his conduct was acceptable in his culture.” His defense team, apparently aware of the explosive implications of this claim, tried to have this telling detail thrown out of the record, but “efforts to have his statements suppressed were rejected by the judge.”

The media coverage of Rittenhouse was so bad, so inaccurate (just like the Covington kid a few years ago), that during the trial, which was televised live, was the first time that many of his critics were, for the first time, hearing what really happened, and, the honest ones admitted in their tweets or articles that they had earlier got Rittenhouse wrong.

Some of the international media coverage was so bad, that this egregious mistake was apparently made: for some time, some international outlets were INCORRECTLY reporting that the men Rittenhouse shot were black men – they were not; they were white men.

Whether this was deliberate or an honest misunderstanding, I do not know, but it probably influenced how some people viewed Rittenhouse or what happened in Kenosha.

A lot of the liberal narrative did not mention in reportage that Rittenhouse was acting in self defense, that one or two of the guys were going to draw their firearms to kill him (one later admitted after the fact that yes, that is what he was trying to do and he wish he had murdered Rittenhouse), one guy, Huber, was beating Rittenhouse over the head with his skateboard (which can, yes, result in death, or in the man being able to knock Rittenhouse out to take his firearm if he so chooses).

Yet other media neglected to mention that some of the men shot and killed by Rittenhouse – in self defense – had criminal backgrounds.

One of the men, Joseph Rosenbaum, was a serial child rapist.

What I read a few months back is that Rosenbaum had dated single women with children for the express purpose of gaining access to the children so he could molest or rape them, which he did. (I doubt any or many of those victims mind that he was taken out by Rittenhouse.)

At trial, these assertions didn’t materialize.

No, the Washington Post admitted, there wasn’t any evidence tying Rittenhouse to white supremacists.

No, the gun didn’t actually cross state lines, as so much of the reporting around the trial suggested. No, he hadn’t been the one to fire the first shot.

No, even Gaige Grosskreutz, the third man whom Rittenhouse shot in self-defense, admitted that Rittenhouse hadn’t shot him until Grosskreutz pointed his own gun (for which he no longer had a valid concealed-carry permit) at Rittenhouse.

And, finally, yes, Kyle Rittenhouse had been acting in self-defense.

Most of this information was publicly available long before the trial, overlooked or ignored in favor of red herrings about race and the misdeeds of the former president. If Rittenhouse sues for defamation, it won’t come as a shock.

An Alarming Trend in Psychotherapy by Christine Sefein – (Woke Therapists Want You To Stay In a Victim Mindset and Miserable)

This video is largely addressing woke, Neo-Marxist, identity politics influences in the mental health profession and its damaging ramifications upon groups of people (such as women, people of color, and so on).

However, much of what is mentioned is identical as what I said in previous posts in regards to psychologists or therapists (or friends) enabling people with mental health problems, by merely echoing back and validating the negative thoughts and worldviews of those persons.

There is a time and place for non-judgmental emotional support, but if a friend, family, or mental health professional merely validates the person’s distorted (negative) beliefs, and does so for months to years on end, and does not challenge or encourage the person to change their behavior (when and where it can be changed) and/or change how they view their situation or themselves, the person will remain in a state of Learned Helplessness.

Therefore, the person’s anxiety, depression, or whatever issue they are facing, will not diminish or cease.

Giving someone with depression (or certain other conditions) nothing but validation and on-going emotional support – as the therapist in the video below explains – will actually keep the person in a depressive state, or possibly worsen her mental health.
(This is exactly what I was saying in other, older blog posts and other media, but got chewed out over it by others.)

While the far left in the mental health field love to tell people that they are experiencing depression or some other problem because of the identity group they are a part of (whether they are black, homosexual, a woman, what have you), on the individual level, some people are buying into this toxic thinking because they have a Victim Mentality (see this previous post for more about Victim Mentality).

If a friend of yours, or a mental health professional, is simply sitting around agreeing with your negative views – that you are a victim in life, and you always have life oh-so-hard, and isn’t life horrible and unfair, and there’s nothing any of us can do about it – they are aiding you in keeping  you trapped in your anxiety and depression.

If this person was actually competent and compassionate, they’d be trying to help you to find steps to take TO CHANGE, to improve in some way.

Offering empathy or emotional support is only one part of the pie, it should not be the entire pie – and that emotional support is useless and garbage if it’s being mis-used to keep someone “stuck” in some disorder or harmful mindset they have.

If you continue to think of yourself as a victim, your situation or condition will never improve.

If you continue to believe that your life and all its problems – or obtaining happiness or peace – is not in your control at all, that it remains outside of your control and due to external factors, you will continue being depressed and feeling hopeless.

I spent over 30 years with clinical depression – I was diagnosed by psychiatrists with it – and I spent years trying to figure a way out of depression, when the sessions with psychiatrists didn’t help me, and the prescribed anti-depressants didn’t help me, either.

I finally figured my way out of depression (on my own), and I can tell you that the “woke” approach to “treatment” will absolutely keep you trapped in depression.

Getting primarily, or only, emotional support from a therapist, friends or family, when you’re dealing with depression (or most other problems in life), and thinking of yourself as a victim in life, isn’t going to help you rebound and heal in the long run.

As I said in a previous post, receiving emotional support for a problem initially is fine, but at the end of the day, if you want to solve a problem and make it go away, emotional support only won’t cut it – you will have to change something about your life, your usual routine, or how you think about yourself or your life or your problem if you hope to break free.

For our latest video, FAIR’s Christine Sefein explains how her field of psychotherapy has been taken over by what she describes as a “divisive and regressive ideology” that led her to resign from her position as a professor of clinical psychology at Antioch University in Los Angeles.

This ideology teaches people to see themselves as part of an oppressed group and to blame their hardships on oppressor groups. And sometimes that’s true! But most often this way of thinking, which encourages hypersensitivity, is harmful to people who are seeking help from mental illness conditions.

Sefein worries that her field, which is designed to help people overcome their mental illnesses, will actually exacerbate patients’ symptoms by causing them to view themselves as having no control over improving their situation.

Instead, people are acquiring an attitude called “learned hopelessness,” which locks them into a feedback loop of pessimism and despair.
