The Shiny, Happy People Program about Bill Gothard and the Duggar Family on Prime – Why Women Stay In These Awful Marriages and the Victim Blaming Aimed at Them by Christian Abuse Survivor Advocates

A few days ago, Amazon Prime made available a several program long commentary and investigation into the Duggar family (of “19 Kids and Counting” fame), as well as the teachings the Duggars followed, which were created by Bill Gothard and IBLP (Institute in Basic Life Principles) and ATI (Advanced Training Institute).

A lot of Christian parents raised their children under Gothard’s IBLP and ATI teachings, and many of them say as adults that they were damaged by those teachings.

Several of the women say when they were children or teens and worked under Gothard at his headquarters that they were sexually harassed. The show says at least one woman claims that Gothard, or his brother (I don’t recall which) raped her (the brother also worked with or for Gothard and this ATI / IBLP organization).

The purpose of my post here is not to give all the ins and outs of toxic Gothard teachings, but to note one or two aspects from the show. Before I do that, if you need or want some more background about any of this, here are a few links:

Before I get to the main point of this post – which would be “Christian abuse survivor advocates” who regularly harshly criticize Anna Duggar or women like her for staying in abusive marriages, I wanted to address one or two other issues first.

Progressives are trying to make black people unaccountable for whatever crimes they commit. Their CRT, their neo Marxism, appealing to historic grievances, and so on and so forth, ends up not holding black people accountable for whatever crimes they commit.

Killing someone on the basis of their skin color is racism, REGARDLESS of whichever skin color of the persons in this situation may have historically held “systemic power.”

Members of society are still responsible for their actions no matter their skin color, ethnicity, religious beliefs, biological sex, gender identity, political views, and whatever else.

“Intersectionalism,” and historical oppression of a group, contrary to what progressives think and spew, does not give people carte blanche to murder, rob, or rape, and at that, with no repercussions.

Two black males who were arrested for allegedly murdering a handyman may face hate crime charges after one admitted that they were seeking to kill a white person, according to police.

23-year-old Tahj Matthews and 25-year-old Maurice Holmes were arrested on April 11 and charged with the first-degree murder of 66-year-old Lawrence Herr the day before in the city of Kenner, Louisiana.

Herr was working as a handyman when he was fatally shot in the back while installing a mailbox. An autopsy found that Herr had been shot once through the back and that the bullet exited out of his chest.

A transgender female pedophile who filmed her [his] seven year-old daughter being sexually abused for horrific porn videos is being housed in a New Jersey women’s prison despite still having a penis, it is claimed.

Marina Volz, 34, is serving her 25 year sentence at the notorious Edna Mahan Correctional Facility alongside her [his] accomplice Ashley Romero, 30 [a biological male whose real first name is Adam], who joined in the abuse of the girl.

Volz, born a man named Matthew, is now recorded as ‘female’ in official prison records, with his presence at Edna Mahan said to be causing terror among biological women housed there.

Shockingly, Volz is even said to want to marry Romero, so they can share a cell together, Reduxx reported, after the publication spoke to other inmates there.

Volz, Romero and two others were found guilty for their roles in sexually abusing Volz’s daughter in the basement of her New Jersey home as part of a scheme to create pornographic films.

Volz, who ran a transgender fetish porn studio, took the youngster from her mother’s home in Oregon, then brought her back to New Jersey, where she was subjected to horrific sexual abuse, the details of which are too graphic to repeat.

More Christian Abuse Survivor Infighting – Yikes – this time it involves ‘Sacred Wilderness’

Several months ago, Christian abuse survivor advocates were ganging up on Christian journalist Julie Roys – I wrote a blog post or two about it, like (Link): this one. I’ve been meaning to write another post or two about it but didn’t get around to it (maybe some day – a lot of Christian abuse survivor advocates are appallingly ignorant about Codependency).

This time, there was another “Civil War” among Christian abuse survivor advocates, some of the names or groups I do not recognize.

Someone named Johnna Harris (who runs or is somehow affiliated with a group called Sacred Wilderness) was being accused of things, and attacked for weeks on end, by another so-called Christian abuse survivor advocate calling himself Kyle Howard. Also, staff or volunteers of SW (Sacred Wilderness) were accusing higher ups at SW of abuse or something.

Again, I’m not familiar with everyone in this drama, so I’m not sure who started what and why, and who is pushing what agenda – well, after having read through the PDF mentioned below, I now have a better idea, but it’s a somewhat long and convoluted mess.

This SW group hired a third party to investigate them, to ensure they were above board.

They released their findings of this third party in (Link): an open letter, Organizational Assessment with Pellucid Consulting,  and a PDF file (I believe the PDF file is linked to at the bottom of the open letter).

Excerpts from the open letter:

Kyle Howard has personally tweeted many hurtful lies towards one of our founding members, Johnna Harris, including tagging her in an email claiming that she was fearful Kyle would try to sexually assault her. This is just one example of hundreds of tweets that we have screenshots of directly targeting Johnna or her work.

Our former employee tweeted on multiple occasions that we chose to do an assessment over an investigation. He said that was wrong because since abuse claims had already been made we should have gone straight to an investigation.

We interviewed and reached out to several corporate investigation companies, both secular and non-secular.

After reviewing our situation with associates of three companies, none of those companies thought we qualified for an investigation. Things they brought up were that we “were not a company with a history of abuse,” “this is too small for them to take on,” and “this just sounds like a corporate conflict where you need to amicably part ways and move on.”

A Black man has been charged with fatally shooting two White strangers in the back of the head in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as part of what authorities are calling a racially motivated hate crime.

Carlton Gilford allegedly shot and killed two men to whom he did not have any connection on April 18, according to the Tulsa Police Department.

Police said Gifford, who according to jail records is homeless, went inside the Rudisill Library around 9:40 a.m., walked up behind a man sitting at a desk, and shot him in the back of the head.

The victim, 35-year-old Lundin Hathcock, was rushed to the hospital where he died.

After the library shooting, police said, Gifford went to a nearby QuikTrip convenience store and shot 55-year-old James McDaniel in the back of the head. When the victim fell to the ground, the suspect shot him again. McDaniel died at the scene.

First Lady Jill Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken were slammed Wednesday for presenting a biological male from Argentina with an award for women on International Women’s Day.

…Commentators across Twitter balked at the idea of a person who had been born a man being bestowed with a women’s award.

Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, R-Ark., said, “It’s International Women’s Day – a good time to remember that Democrats can’t even tell you what a woman is.”

The head of a conservative Christian group in Virginia is speaking out after members of her organization were turned away from a restaurant based solely on their religious views.

Victoria Cobb, president of the non-profit Christian lobbying organization Family Foundation of Virginia, told Fox News Digital that several members of her group were scheduled to hold a private event at a side room at Metzger Bar and Butchery in Richmond, Virginia when they received a call an hour and a half before the reservation saying their reservation had been canceled.

The reason given for the cancelation, according to Cobb, was that a member of the staff at the restaurant had looked up the organization’s website, which states that the group advocates “for policies based on Biblical principles that enable families to flourish at the state and local level”, prompting the wait staff to refuse to serve the group.

“It’s alarming and disgraceful that a restaurant has a religious or political litmus test for who gets in the door,” Cobb told Fox News Digital. “I think people will find that very disturbing.”

In the past several years, I’ve seen news stories off and on about black people and other non-whites who insist on having “POC (people of color) only” spaces on college campuses and where ever else.

Why do far left liberals and progressives promote the idea of “Black Only” spaces, no whites welcome, but they draw the line at women having women-only spaces?

That is, transwomen are biologically male – they are MEN – and no, they should not be permitted into women’s spaces such as women’s locker rooms, women’s prisons, and women’s bathrooms.

This is the awkwardness that happens thanks to progressive victimhood ideology – far left liberals and progressives put everyone in a group, insist that some groups have things worse than others, are more oppressed than others (intersectionality),
then when one of the liberal “pet groups” (Muslims) speaks out against another pet group (LGBTQ) or liberal pet cause,
the progressives either start behaving like hypocrites (throwing one of their own pet groups under the bus), or, it leaves them meshed in confusion.

It’s pretty funny to watch liberals “eat their own.” This is where their woke, intersectional ideology leads.

What is the deal with so many liberals and progressives comparing anyone they do not like with Hitler?

When you use the Hitler comparison as often as progressives and liberals do, it dilutes the meaning and the horrors of Hitler.
If everyone is a Hitler (for not agreeing with every last portion of progressive views) than nobody is Hitler.

I do not like Islam (Islam has huge problems with systemic sexism and violence against girls and women, which most liberals and progressives will not admit or discuss),
but so long as Muslims peacefully practice their religion in the United States, they have every right to do that and to speak out against LGBTQ being indoctrinated into public school children if they wish to.

An unexpected alliance has formed between conservative parents and Arab Americans in Dearborn, Michigan.

The groups have come together to stand up against the public school boards that are supplying their children with ‘explicit’ LGBTQ reading material.

Reports indicate a school board meeting in Dearborn, Michigan was disrupted last week when hundreds of protestors denouncing books with LGBTQ content poured into the Dearborn Public Schools administration building.

Some of the titles concerned parents are coming together to object to include Push, The Lovely Bones, This Book Is Gay and Flamer – all titles that confront rape, explicit sex and sexuality.

The Republican candidate for Michigan attorney general Matthew Deperno attended the meeting and commented on the surprising united front between conservatives and Arabs.

‘I think you’ll find these are people with deeply held religious beliefs. We have to stand up for the First Amendment and people’s religious beliefs and I think you’re probably seeing a shift in the Republican Party,’ he said.

Local affiliate Fox 2 said the presence of the two groups ‘was a nod to the unexpected alliance of sorts between conservatives and many in the Arab American community as their interests overlap on this issue.’

Two pet identity groups of the far left: black guys and illegal migrants… but here we have black guys demonstrating against illegal immigration (good for them, seriously – I too am opposed to illegal aliens. Armed black militants marched the streets of Austin, Texas on Saturday in a “Second Amendment Unity Walk” where they demanded reparations and that Joe Biden close the border.

According to the Daily Mail, chants and signs included “Reparations now!” and “Close the borders!” The demonstration was organized by The Elmer ‘Geronimo’ Pratt Pistol & Rifle Gun Club with other groups joining such as the Black Riders Liberation Party.

One marcher said, “We don’t say ‘hands up, don’t shoot!'” Instead “Guns up!” and “Shoot back!”

More shouts included “Take your ass home!” and “Immigrants, we’ve been here!”

If these “straight pride” guys are going to go on straight pride marches or parades, they need to defend single, celibate, hetero adults, not just the “nuclear family.”

In the past few years, progressives have so often and regularly demonized white people, heterosexuals, conservatives, and Christians (and shaming those persons for being white, hetero, conservative and/or Christian), I can now honestly see a need for things like “hetero pride” marches and so forth.

The left only has themselves to blame for this sort of thing – if they didn’t cram their views about sexuality, race, etc, so much down other people’s throats and scream and yell at anyone who disagrees that they are “white supremacists” and bigots and so on,
you wouldn’t see the affected groups go into reactive mode and hold “straight pride” parades and so on in response.

When you continually smear, pick at, demonize, and abuse someone (or an entire group of people), they may eventually respond by abusing you back.

That is where this non-stop, ‘drip- drip- drip’ of far left liberal abuse of conservatives, Christians, and other groups can lead.

Progressives, far left liberals, and Democrats are creating some of the very situations and attitudes they complain about all the time.

A ‘straight pride’ march held in front of a California abortion clinic descended into violence as attendees clashed with counter-protesters and police.

The National Straight Pride Coalition touted the event as a celebration of ‘heterosexuality, masculinity, femininity, babies – born and unborn and Western straight civilization, our wonderful country and Christianity.’

…But it quickly descended into violence, as angry pro-LGBT rights groups clashed with officers deployed to maintain calm at the event.

…A large contingent of LGBTQ and pro-choice counter-protesters who took offense to the message behind the march also showed up – and violence ensued.
