Christian Gender Complementarians and Far Left Woke Progressives and Transactivists – What They Have in Common

There are a few things Christian gender complementarians have in common with the following: the woke; progressives; social justice warriors; anti-Trumpers; exvangelicals (ex evangelicals); transactivists; critical theory advocates; BLM; Antifa, and anti-racists.

I don’t want to get into all the similarities I see among these seemingly- at- first- glance- totally- in- opposition groups, but one or two I did want to mention for now:

Both the Christian complementarians and the Progressives participate in “identity politics.” You’re not allowed to be an individual.

Complementarians divide people into the groups of “men” and “women,” and then ascribe gender stereotypes to both groups. They believe that all women are, or should be, passive, non-confrontational, and docile and enjoy crocheting tea cozies, for example.

If you’re a woman who is not passive, docile, or who does not enjoy knitting tea cozies and has no desire to do so, they either ignore you, or other types of complementarians may insult you or question your fealty to Jesus, the Bible, and the nuclear family.

The progressives, of course, put everybody into groups and then in sub-groups; the progressives will not only divide people up by biological sex, for instance, but if you are a “person of color” AND a woman, you’re now in a sub-group.

The progressives will then try to determine, via “intersectionality,” which group or sub-group is the “most” oppressed, and which ever group is deemed most victimized gets all the cookies (devotion, protection, attention, energy).

Members of these groups, who are declared to be most marginalized, are given carte blanche permission by woke liberals to treat other groups terribly, and to stomp all over other groups’ needs, rights, and concerns (one example of this on my blog).

Women Are Not Allowed to Have Their Own Opinions On Either Side, Christian Complementarian OR Progressive

Christian gender complementarians and woke, far left liberals (including transactivists, BLM supporters, and even a lot of progressive Exvangelical, anti-Trump persons, and some abuse survivor advocates) all have the distasteful, unfortunate habit of pressuring women to think a certain way.

All those groups also tend to guilt trip women or shame them when they won’t cave in to the pressure, and they also advise – more like command and dictate! – women to “let this group do your thinking for you. You are not allowed to question the group or its assumptions or opinions. You are not allowed to have or hold a dissenting view from that of the group.”

Women Who Disagree With Christian Gender Complementarianism

If you’re a woman who doesn’t agree with Christian gender complementarianism (or Christian patriarchy, which is essentially the same thing as complementarianism, but usually more severe),
complementarian men (and some of the women) in those belief sets will accuse you of being a liberal, a feminist, and/or a Democrat and will sometimes also accuse you of hating babies, men, meritocracy, due process, or the nuclear family.

The more crude, overtly sexist ones will also suggest on occasion you are “trying to be like a man,” you are “too old, past your expiration date,” you own 47 pet cats, and you never shave your legs.

Women Who Disagree With Progressives or Any Progressive View or Behavior

If you’re a woman who doesn’t agree with progressives on, well, any of their socio-political views (CRT, pro-choice, BLM, transactivism, etc), they will accuse you of being bigoted, racist, homophobic, transphobic, and/or of possessing “Internalized Misogyny,” and they’re rarely civil in how they express those views.
(This is, laughably and remarkably, after they stress repeatedly, especially in their online communities, how, unlike Trump voters and evangelical Christians, how tolerant and loving they are.)

… Critical Race Theory (CRT), which holds that American institutions and culture are systemically racist and categorizes people as either victims or oppressors based on skin color, has generated a backlash in recent years from parents.

But a parents group called Fair Education Santa Barbara began fighting four years ago, filing what is believed to be the nation’s first lawsuit against CRT and related pedagogy, which critics say poison the minds of young children.

…The parents charged that the district required all students to take extreme “ethnic studies” courses as a condition of graduating, put a radical activist group in charge of other programming, and refused to allow parents to see the curriculum.

One specific claim asserted that the district segregated students for “training” sessions, telling white children that all whites are racist. One student allegedly contemplated suicide because he felt deep shame over not speaking Spanish.

Opponents say CRT is part of a larger, radical curriculum being imposed on public school children under a series of names that seem to change when opposition builds.

The following news story is an example in how far left liberals, Democrats, progressives (Christian and non) have ramped up the Culture Wars in the last few years.

It’s not just mainstream evangelicals, conservative Christians, or Republicans who are fighting the Culture Wars now – those groups, the conservatives, evangelicals, Republicans, etc, are now reacting to the Culture War issues STARTED BY, and maintained by, liberals and progressives.

Nothing says love and tolerance like shaming White people for being White – which is what progressives do constantly. (I’m being sarcastic. It’s odious and gross to shame White people for being White.)

If you want to build up Black people or (Link): Black culture by incorporating more Black-written hymns at your church, that is fine by me, but do not so so at the expense of other groups, such as Whites.

That anti-Racism garbage, where CRT promoters believe that being “anti-racism” (Link): means discriminating against White people (and doing so indefinitely!), is wrong.

Progressives keep wanting to shame White people for being White, until they then veer into their weird habit of depicting Black people as being White.

I refer to the progressive tendency to skip back and forth between defining “White” to mean “light skinned person” to defining “White” or “Whiteness” as being “Western culture and ideals,” or “disagreeing with Marxism and other far left views and far left hobby horses.”

This means, if a person with dark skin disagrees with far left politics, the far left deems that person “White adjacent.”

This is how we end up with some (Link): very bizarre news headlines where Black conservative or Black libertarian men and women are referred to by far left liberals as being “White.”

The following is shameful and antithetical to the Christian faith – but this is a relatively small to moderate problem of a much-larger problem with far left views about racism:

A church in suburban Chicago has told parishioners it will abstain from performing any music that is associated with White people during the season of Lent.

“In our worship services throughout Lent, we will not be using any music or liturgy written or composed by white people,” the website for the First United Church of Oak Park reads. “Our music will be drawn from the African American spirituals tradition, from South African freedom songs, from Native American traditions, and many, many more.”

The statement continues, “For Lent, it is our prayer that in our spiritual disciplines we may grow as Christians, united in the body of Christ with people of all ages, nations, races, and origins.”

I’m not sure if all or most progressives would state their position on this subject as being, “Only POC (People of Color) can or should discuss actor Will Smith slapping stand up comic and actor Chris Rock” or not.

For those not familiar (are you living under a rock?!), both Will Smith and Chris Rock are black, celebrity men, and, Will Smith, who is a movie actor, slapped Chris Rock across the face during the Oscar program for telling a tepid joke about Smith’s wife; Rock told a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair (or lack thereof) at the 2022 Oscars ceremony.

This topic is quite close to one I’ve been meaning to blog about for months now, which I may get around to later.

Here’s one example of several I’ve seen ever since The Slap, where progressives of whatever skin color are telling non-Blacks to shut up:

I have a few reasons why I don’t really agree with progressives on this topic.

There is no purpose or context in which this is appropriate – the constant shaming, of progressives, of white people and of white women in particular.

I dislike Islam, sexism, and biological men (“transwomen”) being in women’s only spaces (I also dislike the misogyny some of these transwomen utter), but I do recognize that not all Muslims, all men, or all transgender persons are evil rapists, jerks, sexists, and what have you.

I don’t always spell those caveats (of “not all of persons of Group X are terrible”) out in every post I make, where I rant or fume about the latest news item where a complementarian man has done or said something sexist (again), or the latest news story where a transwoman has molested a little girl and so on, but I hope this is understood.

I’ve been really tired of seeing how the left steps on white people in general but how they scapegoat white women in particular.

This scapegoating and demonizing of white women has been going on for years now, and I first began noticing that the left puts white women (or all biological women initially) on the lowest rung of their favorite pet groups.

It took me awhile later to learn about progressive concepts in more detail, like “intersectionalism,” where it was confirmed for me that, yes, the left has a stacking order of Victimhood, where they deem whomever, which ever group, is the most victimized as being at a higher priority of care and concern, than those they deem lowest.

This began, several years ago, with the left demonizing white men quite a bit.

Then a couple or so years later, it jumped to the left vilifying white women. And there they remain. I think (biological, heterosexual) white women now remain the most demonized group, even more so than white men.

At the same time, these same white (hetero, etc) women continue to suffer the slings and arrows of regular, every day sexism from biological, hetero men.

Now white women (now including ones who identity as lesbian) also have to deal with harassment and demonization by transwomen.

The transwomen demonize white (lesbian) women for not wanting to date biological men (ie., transwomen), and many progressive black women and their “allies” like to scream and yell at white women for “centering” themselves, for not doing enough, and love to mock “white women’s tears” and toss the term “white fragility” around.

Democrats overall love to demonize white women if a Republican wins, because they will look at the stats or polling and see that white women, as a voting bloc, tended to vote for one politician or another.

This demonization of white people generally (not just white women particularly) and the shaming of white people (including children!) has, unfortunately, gotten very prevalent in the last few years.

It’s not necessary or acceptable to insult white people as a group to address racism against black people, any more than it’s necessary or acceptable for Baptists and others speaking out against declining marriage rates by insulting all single adults or singleness.

If you want to tell me that you believe that racism (against persons of color by white people) is still an issue today, that is all well and good, but if you’re going to address this racism by constantly using racial putdowns against whites or shaming whites for being white, then I do not agree with that.

(This gets into the weeds, though, when one considers that today’s leftists understand terms differently than most of us. To them, a “white supremacist” can include a dark-skinned individual who votes Republican, doesn’t agree with CRT, or who is a conservative. Most of us understand the term to mean something like a white guy in a white robe burning crosses at night.)

On Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris held a meeting with a black feminist activist who had stated publicly, “F*** white women.”

Harris met with Cora Masters Barry and other members of the Black Women Leaders and Allies on Monday.

Barry, the wife of the late Washington, D.C., Mayor Marian Barry, was participating on a Zoom call last November with Rolling Out CEO Munson Steed and fellow activist Melanie Campbell as they discussed white women voting more for Republican candidates, The Daily Mail reported.

Barry ranted, “F*** the white — excuse me — forget the white women. They’re going to do what the white men tell them to do. … They be smiling in [your face]; they want to stay in charge. … I don’t care nothing about them, we gotta do what we gotta do.”

BLM- and Trans- Supporting Oxfam Advises White Women Rape Victims That Reporting their Rapes Is Racist & A Form of White Privilege

The horrific, obnoxious, horribly sexist and insensitive views towards white women rape victims, as reported further below, is a product of Identity Politics, Critical Social Theory (including CRT, Critical Race Theory), and supporting and advocating concepts such as “white privilege,” and “Intersectional Feminism,” and constantly demonizing white women.

Long before I had ever heard of the neo-Marxist Critical Social Theories (such as CRT), I was seeing, years ago, what seemed to be far left liberals placing people into groups and assign stations to them, so that white people were at the very bottom ladder of concern, with black people and transgender people being at the top. I did a (Link): blog post about that.

I also became alarmed at the acceptance, in American culture, of leftists bashing, attacking, and harassing white women for being white – this was something that started around the year 2020.

This started with culture dubbing any woman who refuses to be a docile doormat with the name “Karen,” and escalated last year to some black people harassing white women, following those women home, verbally antagonizing them, all the while filming these incidents on cell phones, hoping to shame these women.

One example that comes to mind of that is (Link): Karlos Dillard, a black man who harassed a white woman.

Now, we’re at a stage where Leftists, who adhere to all this “intersectional feminism,” woke, social warrior justice, critical theories shit, are advising white women who are raped by any “person of color” not to report their rapist to the police, because to do so would be racist and a mark of white privilege (never mind that Europe also already has a (Link): huge problem of Muslim migrant men raping white Europeans girls; they are called “grooming gangs”)
