Addison Rae Faces Backlash for Wearing Religious-Themed ‘Holy Trinity’ Bikini: ‘Blasphemous’

Addison Rae Faces Backlash for Wearing Religious-Themed ‘Holy Trinity’ Bikini: ‘Blasphemous’

I can’t say as though I condone what this celebrity did, but some Christians do the same – some Christians have sexualized God and Jesus and have even taught that having sex is necessary to know God (I have blog posts about this).

Irreverence and unholiness are the two things that famous people love to indulge in for their own selfish pleasure. Social media influencer Addison Rae recently decided she was going to do both, when she donned a bikini featuring the words, “Father, Son, Holy Spirit” on the parts, as Outkick reported August 4.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Rae partnered with the brand “Praying” (I know, ironic name) to showcase a bikini the brand has for sale on her Instagram page, adorned with the blasphemous text. According to Outkick, “the comments condemning the Addison Rae bikini were enough for her to remove the post.”

Addison Rae’s recent Instagram bikini post is at the center of some controversy.

The 21-year-old social media star posted a since-deleted photo of herself on Instagram in a white bikini which read “Father” and “Son” on the triangle tops.

Though she did not do a complete body reveal, the bottom of the bikini reads, “Holy Spirit.”

The skimpy two-piece, which appears to be a collaboration with Adidas, is from the site Prayying.com and retails for $100. The name of the bikini is “Holy Trinity.”

Ravi Updates: Ravi Zacharias Hid Hundreds of Pictures of Women, Abuse During Massages, and a Rape Allegation

Ravi Zacharias Hid Hundreds of Pictures of Women, Abuse During Massages, and a Rape Allegation

I first blogged about the perverted shenanigans of his months ago.

This goes to show (yet again!) that being married and part of a “nuclear family” does not make a person more godly, ethical, mature, or responsible, as so many marriage-promoting Christians like to argue.

The “nuclear family” also doesn’t improve society as so many Christians argue – note I am not opposed to the nuclear family, only I don’t hype it to a degree that is unwarranted as do so many other conservatives.

NEW YORK (AP) — Ravi Zacharias, who died in May after a high-profile career leading a global Christian ministry, engaged in sexual misconduct with massage therapists and carried on many amorous extramarital relationships via text message and email, according to a scathing, in-depth report from a law firm hired by the ministry.

Five of the therapists said Zacharias touched them inappropriately, and one said she was raped, according to the report. It said investigators searching Zacharias’ mobile devices found more than 200 photographs of younger women, including nude images of a salon employee in Malaysia.

His ministry, preparing to downsize in the wake of a new investigation, expresses regret for “misplaced trust” in a leader who used his esteem to conceal his sexual misconduct.

A four-month investigation found the late Ravi Zacharias leveraged his reputation as a world-famous Christian apologist to abuse massage therapists in the United States and abroad over more than a decade while the ministry led by his family members and loyal allies failed to hold him accountable.

He used his need for massage and frequent overseas travel to hide his abusive behavior, luring victims by building trust through spiritual conversations and offering funds straight from his ministry.

Kirk Cameron – Like Some Other Shallow Christians – Is Selling Christian Family Values To Make A Buck – Cameron’s Christmas Movie Ranked Worst Movie Ever on IMDB – Cameron Selling Jesus Coffee to Make A Buck

Kirk Cameron – Like Some Other Shallow Christians – Is Selling Christian Family Values To Make A Buck – Cameron’s Christmas Movie Ranked Worst Movie Ever on IMDB

Yes, actor Kirk Cameron released a movie a few weeks ago called “Saving Christmas.” He went on his Facebook page to implore his fans or followers to inflate the scores of the movie at the Rotten Tomatoes site. Here is an article about it:

(Link): Kirk Cameron’s ‘Saving Christmas’ Ranked Worst Movie Ever By IMDB

  • Congratulations, Kirk Cameron. You’ve officially made a terrible movie. The former Growing Pain star’s latest movie, Saving Christmas, is now ranked at the top (bottom?) of (Link): IMDB’s 100 worst movies.
  • IMDB users clearly didn’t like Kirk Cameron’s new movie and either did the people at Rotten Tomatoes. The movie is currently sitting at a solid 0% at the movie review site.

Kirk Cameron is hoping to change some of those negative reviews. He took to Facebook this week to beg his fans for more positive reviews.

(Link): Cameron writes: “All of you who love Saving Christmas – go rate it at Rotten Tomatoes right now and send the message to all the critics that WE decide what movies we want our families see … If 2,000 of you (out of almost 2 million on this page) take a minute to rate Saving Christmas, it will give the film a huge boost and more will see it as a result! Thank you for all your help and support in putting the joy of Christ back in Christmas!”

I disagree with Christians who have made marriage, the nuclear family, and natalism into idols. And they have indeed made those things into idols.

Even worse, in a way, are the self-professing believers who claim to be in support of mom, apple pie and the family, but who are apparently using this stuff to make a buck.

I suspect this is true of Kirk Cameron.

I’ve seen screen captures of his Facebook posts, and they read like marketing shill pieces, not heartfelt pleas to save the family (see one example above).
