Married Mother and Lawyer Reveals She Works As A Part-Time Prostitute

Married Mother and Lawyer Reveals She Works As A Part-Time Prostitute

A lot of Christians falsely promise that marriage will make a person more godly, mature, ethical, and responsible.

A lot of them also said in their teachings – at least when I was a teen and in my twenties – that if one remained a virgin until marriage, that the married sex would be frequent and excellent.

But here is a news story about a married woman (who is also a mother), works as a lawyer, yet she also spends part of her time getting paid to have sex with other people. Did being married and a parent make her more sexually ethical? Nope.

Married Mother and Lawyer Reveals She Works As A Part-Time Prostitute

Christians will falsely teach people that being married will make them become more godly and mature, and as they will supposedly be getting plenty or regular, great sex with a spouse, they’ll never commit adultery or other sexual sin ever.

At least, I was exposed to this sort of teaching from Protestant and Baptist sources when I was a kid, teen and twenty something.

But as we can see via this news story below – and stories like this one – no, it’s not true.

Marriage and motherhood did not cause this woman to be more godly or mature, nor did married sex keep her from having sex with other people – and getting paid for it.

(Like): ‘Sex is fun, and I can get paid for it’: Married mother and lawyer reveals she works as a part-time PROSTITUTE and once made $55,000 at a brothel in Nevada in just THREE WEEKS

A criminal defense lawyer has opened up about her life as a part-time prostitute, revealing she once made a whopping $55,000 in just three weeks.

Katherine Sears, a married mother of one from Des Moines, Iowa, started working as a prostitute three years ago at the age of 27. With her husband John Sears’ approval, she spends three weeks at a time working at a brothel in Nevada, where prostitution is legal.

‘I like sex. Sex is fun, and I can get paid for it,’ she told KCCI of her side hustle, which she hopes to help decriminalize by sharing her story.

Male Teen Virgin Pays Prostitute For Sex, Now Says He’s in Love With Her (*Barf*)

Male Teen Virgin Pays Prostitute For Sex, Now Says He’s in Love With Her (*Barf*)

First, this news story is totally gross.
(I’m convinced this thing about teen boys losing their virginity to a hooker is less about their libido and probably has more to do with most cultures shaming anyone who is a virgin into their mid to late teens and adulthood.)

Secondly, he’s a naive idiot.

Notice the headline:

“Virgin, 16, ‘who won unlimited sex holiday falls in love with prostitute he slept with’”

He didn’t “sleep” with her. He paid her for sex. It was a business transaction.

Excerpts:

…Is #MeToo Enough?

“Carelessness” and “brutality” are two words that certainly typify the sexual “moment” we are in as a culture. How we expect to live in a 50 Shades sexual fantasy world while also managing to avoid it’s unintentional (but by no means unforeseen) ugly consequences totally escapes me.

…I rejoice that with the #MeToo movement we are seeing at least the beginnings of a reckoning—of society’s attempt to say, with a unified voice, “This we will not tolerate.”

But is #MeToo enough? It seems obvious to me that it is not.

As long as the roots of the problem are left unaddressed, the same ugly fruit will continue to spring up from polluted earth—now in one way, now in another. We will keep recycling brutality and abuse.

Wife of Pastor Jailed for Sex Trafficking Arrested for Obstruction, Could Face 28 Years in Prison

Wife of Pastor Jailed for Sex Trafficking Arrested for Obstruction, Could Face 28 Years in Prison

Observe how conservative Christian propaganda about marriage v. singleness is not true: marriage does not make people more godly, mature, or responsible. Single adults are not all out there engaging in sex trafficking or obstructing justice.

Just look, look at what marriage produces: adults who sell people as sex slaves and then lie to the police about it.

And don’t count on dating or marrying Christian men only – a lot of them are into things like having sex with (raping) teen kids and selling them into sex trafficking. You’d be better off dating nice atheist, Hindu, or Jewish boys who would never even think about raping kids or selling them into sex rings.

(Link): Wife of Pastor Jailed for Sex Trafficking Arrested for Obstruction, Could Face 28 Years in Prison by Leonard Blair

Excerpts:

Weeks after she was fired from her job as administrator in Lucas County, Ohio, former “first lady” of Abundant Life Ministries in Toledo Laura Lloyd-Jenkins has now joined her husband, the Rev. Cordell Jenkins, behind bars for allegedly obstructing a sex trafficking investigation against him.

An ABC 13 report said Lloyd-Jenkins could now face a maximum prison sentence of up to 28 years if she is found guilty of one count of obstructing a sex trafficking investigation along with one count of making a false statement.

…She pled not guilty to the charges against her when she appeared in court last Friday but was remanded in custody by Judge Jack Zouhary. Authorities allege that Lloyd-Jenkins, 43, notified a defendant of the pending investigation in March, then made false statements to law enforcement about her knowledge of the conduct alleged in the April indictment.

The former administrator and her husband were once partners in faith at Abundant Life Ministries until April 7 when Rev. Jenkins, 46, and Rev. Anthony Haynes, 38, were arrested by the FBI for sex trafficking of children.

TV News Report: Most Johns Are MARRIED Men, and Public Shaming Most Effective Deterrent of Sex Crimes

TV News Report: Most Johns Are MARRIED Men, and Public Shaming Most Effective Deterrent of Sex Crimes

According to this Christian-based news report I saw on TV earlier today, men caught in this sex sting operation by the police are usually MARRIED (and white, middle aged, and college educated).

The report also said that PUBLIC SHAMING over buying sex was the biggest deterrent for men who are considering buying sex – the cops in this area were publishing photos and names of men who are caught soliciting sex (via under-cover cops posing as prostitutes).

This is all very interesting, as we have many conservative Christians who deploy propaganda stating either that married people are more mature and godly than singles, or that (in the reverse) single adults are all a bunch of harlots and immature dolts who need to get married to shape up.

Then we have liberals and squishy conservative Christians who feel everyone everywhere should cease and desist with shaming anyone over any sort of sin or crime – your liberal feminists in particular go ape crazy over “slut shaming.”

This sort of thinking has infiltrated the Christian community, where we now see bonkers editorials and opinions from Christians, on forums, blogs, and Facebook groups, railing against the concept of staying a virgin until marriage, or being celibate.

But here we have a report stating that SHAMING people over their SEXUAL CHOICES (in terms of the johns, the customers) works to REDUCE prostitution rates.

Excerpts:

SARASOTA, Fla.  – Across the country more than 1,000 towns and counties are stepping up tactics to deter men who buy sex. They include seizing vehicles, community service, “john” school, license suspension, public shaming and reverse stings.

Research shows that strategies like the reverse stings can reduce prostitution in a city by as much as 75 percent.

32 Arrested, Included Children’s Minister, in Human Trafficking Case

32 Arrested, Included Children’s Minister, in Human Trafficking Case

I first spotted this via DefendTheSheep’s Twitter account.

It’s stories like this which played a role in me ditching the “equally yoked” teaching, and why I am now much more dubious about church being a good place for Christian singles to meet people to date or marry. (Not that these crimes took place IN a church, but some of the men arrested work in or for churches.)

I’m not sure if the guy in this story was also married and a father. If he is: being a parent, or being married, do not make a person more ethical or mature, as many Christians teach! A person can remain single and childless and be MORE ethical and godly than many parents and married people.

  •  To Christians out there: please stop using news stories like this one to down-play the very real dangers CIS women face if or when Transwomen are  allowed to openly use CIS- women bathrooms and locker rooms (read more about that (Link): here).
  • Perverts prey on girls and women in or by churches AND in public restrooms and lockerooms, NOT just in or near churches! ❗

Married Man Paid Prostitute with Charity Money and Tipped Her With a Pet Monkey

Married Man Paid Prostitute with Charity Money and Tipped Her With a Pet Monkey

Christians: stop making marriage out to be the norm. It’s not. More people are staying single these days.

Furthermore, Christians of the world, especially American ones: The state of being married is NOT superior to being single. Marriage does not magically transform people into responsible, loving, ethical, caring adults.

Here we have a news story of a married man who cheated on his wife with a hooker and used money meant for charity to pay the hooker. Marriage clearly did not make this guy more mature or moral.

Let this story also be a reminder that you do not, as Christians claim, have to be perfect or godly to deserve, earn, or merit a spouse. If God permits idiots like this guy to get a spouse, there is no damn good reason for God to keep one from you (assuming you are not a deviant wacko).

A Response To J D Hall’s Vomit-tastic Post about Village Church’s Handling of Certain Members, Covenants, and Marriages

A Response To J D Hall’s Vomit-tastic Post about Village Church’s Handling of Certain Members, Covenants, and Marriages

Before we get to the post by J D Hall:

Background:

  • The Village Church (TVC) of Texas has placed Karen, who was once a member of theirs, under church discipline because she did not, according to them, abide by the church covenant she signed.
  • Instead of conferring with the church on what to do, Karen, on her own, sought an annulment from the state of Texas, once she discovered her then-spouse, Jordan, was a pedophile.
  • Karen said she spent about 50 days conferring with other Christians (not from the TVC), and in prayer, mulling over what to do, before seeking the annulment.
  • This action of hers has ticked off TVC leadership, because Karen did not get their permission to get the annulment.
  • Matt Chandler is the lead preacher of TVC.

You can read additional reporting of this situation here (additional material is at the bottom of this post):

Here is the page I am responding to:

(Link, off site): A Rational Response to the Criticism of Village Church  by  J D Hall, Pulpit and Pen blog

The covenant that Hall is so rigorously defending – TVC’s membership covenant – here does not even mention annulments.

As Karen explains (off site Link, Source):

  • …it is worth noting here that although The Village Church claims [in their e-mail] that “We see an annulment as a subcategory of what Scripture defines as a divorce in Mark 10:9” …, this cannot be found anywhere in their Membership Covenant or Bylaws.
  • In signing their Membership Covenant shortly after my 24th birthday, I had agreed to nothing in regards to the possibility of annulment should I come to realize that my marriage had been a complete sham from the beginning.
  • There is a vast difference between a divorce and a marriage that is voided on the grounds of fraud, and I had no way of knowing that the leadership of The Village Church would respond to it in this fashion.

Looking For Free Sperm, Women May Turn To Online Forums

Looking For Free Sperm, Women May Turn To Online Forums

Thank Dog I never cared one way or another if I ever had a baby or not. I just never hankered for one.

I could not imagine being so desperate to have a kid that you’d go to a site to hook up with a stranger to pork each other and have a kid. No thanks, I’d rather die alone, single, childless, celibate.

(Link): Looking For Free Sperm, Women May Turn To Online Forums

Commercial sperm banks have operated in the U.S. since the early 1970s. Today, women who can afford to use them tend do so without stigma. But banks are no longer the only source for women hoping to get pregnant.

There are informal, unregulated websites popping up where men who are willing to donate their sperm for free can meet women who are hoping to have a baby.

The most established sperm donation website in the U.S., the Known Donor Registry, launched in 2010. Since then, it has grown to more than 16,000 members.

Membership to this site and others does not necessarily reflect how many people actually conceive this way — in fact, there really aren’t solid statistics on this kind of exchange. But there are anecdotes, and people have come forward saying they’ve tried it.

Married Father Hires Prostitute Who Intentionally Gave Him Heroin Overdose that Killed Him

Notice from Christian Pundit blogger: There is coming a time when I will either not be blogging as frequently or not at all. Please read more about that here in this post (Link): Blog Break – May 2014 – and List of This Blog’s Best or Most Relevant Posts
—————————————-
I sometimes post links to news articles on this blog of parents, preachers, or married people who do immoral or illegal activities. There have been so many of these stories showing up in my Twitter feed the past two weeks, I can hardly keep up.

I will not be blogging on all of them. For about every news story I blog about of a parent who murders her child, or a married man who gets caught stabbing his wife to death or whatever, there are about 2 to 4 I do NOT get around to publishing on my blog – Bear that in mind anytime you visit my blog and see these types of stories.

So. Christians, particularly Southern Baptist, evangelicals, Reformed, and other flavors of Christians, like to spout off how parenthood and marriage make people more ethical, godly, and mature and immune from sexual sin, while, at the same time, they teach the insulting views that anyone who is still single and/or childless past age 30, is selfish or a loser or a closeted homosexual.

Here is yet another example of how marriage does not make a person more godly, ethical or mature:

Oil Town Where Single Male Population Vastly Outnumbers Females and they practically rape the women – Reflections on the Christian argument that men will treat women better if women in short supply

Oil Town Where Single Male Population Vastly Outnumbers Females and they practically rape the women

This is a creepy story (see link way below), but also odd, in that, one argument I’ve heard from Christians about young single men (or older single males) not “manning up” and being into prolonged adolescence, is that one reason (according to Christians) is that churches make women too readily available to single men.

If the company of single women was kept more rare, it would behoove the single men to date the women and make more marriage proposals. (That is what I’ve read by Christians, I am not arguing that point myself.)

To put the argument another way, rather than the current practice of churches – which is to let the single men hang out with the single women in classes or church dances, thus giving them lots of female companionship – some Christians think churches or parents should limit the time women spend around such men.

In this article, there is a woman shortage in this one town described. But instead of the men stepping up to the plate, treating women with respect, and courting them as gentlemen, most of these men have turned into almost-rapists (I am not exaggerating).

If I remember right, this article, which interviewed female prostitutes, said that some of their clients include MARRIED men.

Some of these married men travel to this city “X” months out the year, leaving their wife back home, and once in City Z, these men hire prossies.

And what do we learn from this? We learn that, contrary to Christian mythos, married people are not immune from sexual sin, nor are they more godly or ethical than adult singles.

…The rich shale oil formation deep below the rolling pastures here has attracted droves of young men to work the labor-intensive jobs that get the wells flowing and often generate six-figure salaries. What the oil boom has not brought, however, are enough single women.

At work, at housing camps and in bars and restaurants, men have been left to mingle with their own. High heels and skirts are as rare around here as veggie burgers. Some men liken the environment to the military or prison.

“It’s bad, dude,” said Jon Kenworthy, 22, who moved to Williston from Indiana in early December. “I was talking to my buddy here. I told him I was going to import from Indiana because there’s nothing here.”

This has complicated life for women in the region as well.

Many said they felt unsafe. Several said they could not even shop at the local Walmart without men following them through the store. Girls’ night out usually becomes an exercise in fending off obnoxious, overzealous suitors who often flaunt their newfound wealth.

“So many people look at you like you’re a piece of meat,” said Megan Dye, 28, a nearly lifelong Williston resident. “It’s disgusting. It’s gross.”

DEAR ABBY: I just found out my husband was arrested for being with a hooker.

My in-laws (whom I love and adore) bailed him out of jail.

No one said a word about it to me. I don’t know how to confront all of them with the fact that I know about this “dirty little secret.” What should I do?

DEAR BETRAYED: First, visit your gynecologist and ask to be treated for every STD known to man.

Then invite your in-laws to a “family dinner,” tell them the cat is out of the bag and ask why this was kept from you.

And while you’re at it, ask your mother-in-law (whom you love and adore) how she would feel if your father-in-law had possibly exposed her to an STD and it had been kept from her. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Church Holds Church Services in Strip Club

Church Holds Church Services in Strip Club

M’kay. I was taught from the time I was a girl that sex was for marriage only. Taught this in Christian books, Christian television shows, church sermons, my parents, and obviously, that was the conclusion I got from reading the Bible on my own as a kid and teen.

I get into adulthood, still single, still a virgin, and I’ll be darned if most of Christianity today is telling singles and teens,

“Sex is no big deal! Just use “protection.”
Don’t feel shamed or dirty about pre-marital sex, and God forgives it anyway.
Let’s do away with purity culture, it’s so damaging to women! It’s forced on women by the patriarchy!”

Basically, virginity is not only not valued by self professing Christians today, but it’s also been attacked (yes, see (Link): this (Link): this, (Link): this for a few examples – I have more on the site, but that suffices).

Soooooooo…. I’m bothering to live by biblical sexual values why, exactly? Nobody else is, Christians are not. Christians are making a mockery out of biblical teachings about sex.

I’m not sure if this story from The Christian Post is related to the story discussed by Rosebrough above, but I think it is:
(Link): Church Hosts Services on Stage at Local Strip Club for Easter Sunday

Excerpts

BY KATHERINE WEBER, CHRISTIAN POST REPORTER
    April 23, 2014|4:42 pm

A gentleman’s club in Ontario, Canada, opened its doors on Sunday to allow a church to gather. The couple leading the church says it is an attempt to attract those who would feel uncomfortable in a traditional church setting.

Jack and Sharon Ninaber, who are part of the Elora Road Christian Fellowship, held their first church service at The Manor gentlemen’s club in Guelph over Easter weekend. Sharon, Jack’s wife, told the local CTV television station that when she originally suggested the couple begin holding church services at the strip club, she was joking.

After discussing the idea further, however, the couple decided the unorthodox services would be a creative way to reach those who would shy away from a traditional church setting. They are specifically hoping to attract residents from Sue’s Inn, a nearby transitional house for the homeless and the addicted.

Why are Christians so obsessed with strippers? If they are not harping on strippers, it’s African orphans. WTF?

Sex After Christianity by R. Dreher

Sex After Christianity

This starts out discussing homosexuality or homosexual marriage and moves on to broader sexual topics, and how Christianity impacts societal views of sex and so forth. Very interesting read.

(Link): Sex After Christianity by R. Dreher

Excerpts:

Gay marriage is not just a social revolution but a cosmological one.

    By ROD DREHER • April 11, 2013

… In a dinner conversation not long after the publication of American Grace, Putnam told me that Christian churches would have to liberalize on sexual teaching if they hoped to retain the loyalty of younger generations.

This seems at first like a reasonable conclusion, but the experience of America’s liberal denominations belies that prescription. Mainline Protestant churches, which have been far more accepting of homosexuality and sexual liberation in general, have continued their stark membership decline.

It seems that when people decide that historically normative Christianity is wrong about sex, they typically don’t find a church that endorses their liberal views. They quit going to church altogether.

This raises a critically important question: is sex the linchpin of Christian cultural order? Is it really the case that to cast off Christian teaching on sex and sexuality is to remove the factor that gives—or gave— Christianity its power as a social force?

Though he might not have put it quite that way, the eminent sociologist Philip Rieff would probably have said yes. Rieff’s landmark 1966 book The Triumph Of the Therapeutic analyzes what he calls the “deconversion” of the West from Christianity.

Nearly everyone recognizes that this process has been underway since the Enlightenment, but Rieff showed that it had reached a more advanced stage than most people—least of all Christians—recognized.

Rieff, who died in 2006, was an unbeliever, but he understood that religion is the key to understanding any culture.

For Rieff, the essence of any and every culture can be identified by what it forbids.

Each imposes a series of moral demands on its members, for the sake of serving communal purposes, and helps them cope with these demands. A culture requires a cultus—a sense of sacred order, a cosmology that roots these moral demands within a metaphysical framework.

… Rieff, writing in the 1960s, identified the sexual revolution—though he did not use that term—as a leading indicator of Christianity’s death as a culturally determinative force.

In classical Christian culture, he wrote, “the rejection of sexual individualism” was “very near the center of the symbolic that has not held.” He meant that renouncing the sexual autonomy and sensuality of pagan culture was at the core of Christian culture—a culture that, crucially, did not merely renounce but redirected the erotic instinct.

That the West was rapidly re-paganizing around sensuality and sexual liberation was a powerful sign of Christianity’s demise.

It is nearly impossible for contemporary Americans to grasp why sex was a central concern of early Christianity. Sarah Ruden, the Yale-trained classics translator, explains the culture into which Christianity appeared in her 2010 book Paul Among The People.

Ruden contends that it’s profoundly ignorant to think of the Apostle Paul as a dour proto-Puritan descending upon happy-go-lucky pagan hippies, ordering them to stop having fun.

In fact, Paul’s teachings on sexual purity and marriage were adopted as liberating in the pornographic, sexually exploitive Greco-Roman culture of the time—exploitive especially of slaves and women, whose value to pagan males lay chiefly in their ability to produce children and provide sexual pleasure.

Christianity, as articulated by Paul, worked a cultural revolution, restraining and channeling male eros, elevating the status of both women and of the human body, and infusing marriage—and marital sexuality—with love.

Christian marriage, Ruden writes, was “as different from anything before or since as the command to turn the other cheek.”

The point is not that Christianity was only, or primarily, about redefining and revaluing sexuality, but that within a Christian anthropology sex takes on a new and different meaning, one that mandated a radical change of behavior and cultural norms.

Okay, yes, this site says he is in fact married:

A married Baptist minister said he needs prayers and forgiveness after he was accused of grabbing a woman, throwing money at her and asking for sex in a motel Tuesday.

“I have talked to God all night last night and today,” Forest City pastor Robert Harris said Wednesday.

This is yet another example of why single Christian women who desire marriage need to judge a man by his character, not by a profession of faith.

This is another example of why Christian single women who want to marry need to disregard the “be not yoked to an unbeliever” Bible verse, as it’s totally pointless, since so many male believers are sexual deviants (or abusive).

And I guess his married Christian sex life with his wife wasn’t so hot if he was looking to get sex from another woman (Christians like to brain wash singles into thinking sex is worth the wait because married sex is supposedly higher quality and/or more frequent than unmarried sex).

(Link): Pastor charged with sexual battery: ‘I allowed the devil to motivate my mind’

    March 2014
    By Ken Lemon
GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A Gastonia pastor said the devil led him to a Super 8, where police said he asked a woman for sex.

Officers told Channel 9 that the pastor said he thought the woman was a prostitute and threw a $20 bill at her.

Robert Harris said Wednesday he will tell his congregation that he asked for sex from a woman in a Gastonia motel.

He said he will ask for their forgiveness and it will be up to them to decide if they keep him as their leader

Harris has been the pastor at Harriett Memorial Freewill Baptist Church in Forest City for the past 13 years.

He said he had counseled a couple at the Super 8 in Gastonia 10 years ago.

He went back last night knocking on a woman’s door.
The woman said she did not want to be identified.

“He asked me if I wanted to have some fun,” she said.

She told him no. He left and she called 911.

Her baby was on the bed and she was on the phone with police when Harris came back.

“(He) tried to push himself in on me. Threw me a $20 bill and said, ‘There is more where that came from. Just let me in for a few minutes,’ knowing my 12-month-old daughter was right there with me,” the woman said.

The officer on the phone said he heard Harris making vulgar requests to the woman.

The arresting officer said Harris claimed he had come to that hotel in the past for sex.

Channel 9 spoke to Harris by phone.

“I should never have been in that place, period,” Harris said.

He said he had never seen that woman before and wanted to apologize to her.

“I beg for her forgiveness that I was wrong. I asked God to forgive me,” he said.

He said he hadn’t told his family or parishioners.

He said he wanted to go to God in prayer first.

“I have ruined my life. I have ruined my ministry. I have ruined my family,” Harris said.

His accuser was stunned when we told her that Harris was a minister.

She thinks any punishment he receives should be far greater than the average person.

“He is abusing the people, not just me,” she said.

Harris said he had not forgiven himself for what he has done.

In a move that would make Dr. Evil proud, Germany’s Tobit Software has created pole-dancing robots as their own personal “booth babes” at the CeBIT computer expo at the Hanover fairground in Lower Saxony, Germany. You can watch them creepily swivel their metal hips and probably give our future robot masters a good reason to start their uprising.

Southern Baptists (who don’t TRULY support sexual purity) Announce 2014 Sex Summit

Southern Baptists (who don’t TRULY support sexual purity) Announce 2014 Sex Summit

I was watching a Christian TV show that said there is an upcoming Sex Summit planned.

I have found several links about the event (which I have put in the post much farther below).

I assume they mean Christians are going to gather at this thing to talk about how to combat porn and what not.

One wonders if all spokes persons at this shin dig will be married Christians who are having sex, or if they will actually come up with celibate adults who are over 30 to contribute to this thing, in any way?

I, a virgin who is over the age of 40, never married, don’t really appreciate being lectured to about sexual ethics and issues by a married guy who is banging his wife weekly and/or who is probably looking at porn (a lot of married preachers are porn addicts), or having affairs (another problem with a lot of married, Christian men, see this link for examples).

I am over 40 and have stayed a virgin this long without any support from Christians, preachers, churches, or Southern Baptists.

These Baptist jack holes are NOT sources of authority on sex or sexual purity, as they do NOT support Christians who are celibate and single over the age of 25 – 30, and so, they should shut up about these topics.

Until or unless a church or denomination is ready to offer regular and concrete, emotional, spiritual, and financial support to celibate adults who are over 30, they need to shut up about the evils of fornication and all these related topics – S.T.F.U.

Southern Baptists and many other denominations and churches do NOT support sexual purity or virginity, in that they do nothing to support celibate adults, those who are actually living celibate lifestyles.

If anything, we celibate adults get shamed by other Christians for being virgins, for NOT being married and for not procreating.

We older virgins are told by Southern Baptists and other Christians that we are not as mature as married parents, we are suspected of being homosexual, and receive all manner of other put downs and negative assumptions.

Mature celibates get lectured by Christians on their stupid blogs or pod casts that we are “prideful” about being virgins (when we are no such thing).

Southern Baptists, Reformed, Fundamentalists, and Evangelicals ignore adult, celibate adults and at that to support marriage and married couples. They have turned marriage and having children into IDOLS.

You cannot be consistent and say on the one hand you think sex is for marriage only, but then turn around and tell fornicators that their sexual sin is no big deal, and that people who are over 30 and still virgins, are “prideful,” or are “fetishizing virginity.”

You can’t have it both ways, but that is exactly what Southern Baptists and other conservative Christians are doing on topics pertaining to sex.

Baptists and other conservative Christians say from one side of their mouth that you should stay a virgin (until you marry), but when you are still single and still a virgin at age 30 or older, they shame you and insult you for being a virgin.

Married couples, yes, even Christian ones, engage in sexual sin.

Will this Baptist-hosted sex summit be mentioning the staggering numbers of married Christian men who admit to being pornography addicts (see examples)?

Will the summit discuss married preachers who have affairs, fondle children, and who use prostitutes (see examples and see more examples)?

Here’s a link or two about the sex summit:

(Link): Southern Baptist Leaders to Host Sex Summit

I have not yet read that page.

I’m going to guess that either:

1. There will be lip service paid to virginity and sexual purity by the Baptists in these articles (but what goes un-said is that they only support virginity for people under the age of 25; they expect everyone over 25 to fornicate, so they tend to look the other way when adult singles fornicate);

or,

2. Somewhere, their mission statement will say they are trying to downplay the importance of virginity / sexual purity, so as not to cause offense to, or shamed feelings among, fornicators.

What a freaking joke.

Notice that, according to the reports below, the Southern Baptists will only be addressing “Teen sex.” There is no support or mention of adult celibates (i.e., post age 30 celibates / sexuality). None.

This only further proves my point that Christians only believe in virginity and sexual purity for people under the age of 20 / 25.

To any teens reading this, you might as well have sex prior to age 25, since once you get to age 25 and after, Baptists no longer care if you’re having sex, how often, and with whom (as long as it is hetero fornication).

If Baptists do address fornication, they are sure to reassure the adult (past age 25) fornicators that Jesus loves them anyhow, and they are not saved by their virginity (sexual sin is downplayed).

So really, with this Baptist, evangelical, fundamentalist, and Reformed attitude that sexual sin is no biggie past your mid 20s, I don’t see why it’s so problematic for the under mid 20s set, as in teenagers. (Barring the naive nature of teens, which makes them dupes and easy prey for sexual predators.)

Here are excerpts from the page:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. January 27, 2014 (AP)

Southern Baptist Convention leaders are hosting a summit in Nashville that will focus on sex.

The topics will range from pornography, teen sex, homosexuality and how pastors can talk to their congregations about human sexuality.

Russell Moore, Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission president for the Southern Baptist Convention, says the summit’s theme is a timely one.

Panel topics include discussions on the gospel and homosexuality and the gospel and ministry in a sex-saturated world.

The sessions will also focus on how the “gospel shapes a person’s sexual identity, redeems sexual desire and sets free people held captive by sin.”

The summit will be held from April 21-23. The event’s main sessions will be streamed live on the Web for people who cannot attend.

Russell Moore does NOT support sexual purity or virginity, see this post:
