Article About Doctor Pedophile from WSJ Mentions His Unmarried Status – Why?

An article from the Feb 9/10, 2019 issue of the Wall Street Journal – one by Christopher Weaver, Dan Frosch, and Gabe Johnson – details the many instances of pedophilia by a doctor named Weber who worked in a few different government-run hospitals that treated Native American Indians.

(Link): Pedophile Doctor Left Trail of Suspicions – And Abuse

Instead of the government doing anything about his suspected pedophilia, they shuffled him around from hospital to hospital.

In other words, they treated him and covered up the child sex abuse the way so many churches do, by moving the guilty from one church to the next. There was no accountability.  A lot of people looked the other way. People who were whistle-blowers were threatened to keep quiet.

The thing that stood out to me in the article was this comment in the introduction:

At first, officials at the U.S. Indian Health Service overlooked the peculiarities of their unmarried new doctor, including the children’s toys he hoarded in his basement on the reservation.
————–

Please notice the phrase “unmarried… doctor.”

Why is it significant to mention that the predatory doctor was single?

A married man with no children would also seem odd “hoarding children’s toys” in his basement.

What Happens to Men Who Stay Bachelors Forever, According To Science by L. Vinopal

What Happens to Men Who Stay Bachelors Forever, According To Science by L. Vinopal

(Link): What Happens to Men Who Stay Bachelors Forever, According To Science by L. Vinopal

Excerpts:

Men who never get married and have children are many things—and not all of them are as sad and lonely as Uncle Rob.

Despite plenty of studies that show how parenthood and marriage benefit men, a growing body of research reveals that it’s more of a mixed-bag for bachelors than scientists previously thought. There are plenty of upsides (and some downsides) to staying alone forever. Here’s what science has to say about being that guy.

Single Men Make Less Money…

Men who stay unmarried make anywhere from 10 to 40 percent less than married men, studies show. There’s evidence that fathers make up to 21 percent more than men without children, and studies suggest men with wives and kids work longer hours and put up with more workplace bullshit than single men.

Singles Discrimination, Complementarianism, Equally Yoked Teaching, and Spotting Predators in Church Video

Singles Discrimination, Complementarianism, Equally Yoked Teaching, and Spotting Predators in Church Video

Someone in a Christian discussion group posted this video (and I don’t want to link to the group or mention it by name, though you may be able to figure out which one it is, especially if you are already familiar with it), and the Christians on the discussion board talked about it:

(Link): When A Predator Shows Up At Your Church — Here’s What You Do!

That same video has also been making the rounds on other Christian blogs, sites, forums, and on Twitter.

The video is around 18 minutes long. I watched it a few days ago.

The video features a Christian woman who says a 50-something guy showed up at her church, a man who set off red flags for her, due to his weird behavior around the kids who were there at the church, including her own.

The man behaved overly-familiar with her kid, other people’s kids who were there, and he ignored the parents of the kids.

(1) First, I’m going to discuss what I believe this video has to do with complementarianism.

(2) Then I am going to discuss some of the disturbing comments about adult singles that were made in the Christian discussion group where I saw this video posted to, and next,

(3) I’ll move on to discussing, as mentioned by a woman or two in the group, about the creepy behavior single adult women have to put up with, even at church, and what this has to do with the Christian “Equally Yoked” teaching.

Church Used Adult Married Man Who Raped Teen as a Worship Team Member in their Church

Churches Used Adult Married Man Who Raped Teen as a Worship Team Member in their Church

Several spiritual abuse blogs covered this story, as well as a handful of mainstream media outlets. (Links to the story are farther below).

From what I’ve read, this adult married man raped a young lady. He was, I think, in his mid-30s at the time of the rape, and his victim was around 13 years old. (Some of these articles are saying he had more than one young victim.)

At the time this story broke, I believe he was working in a library.

One of the spiritual abuse blogs dug up the information that this guy’s current wife is his THIRD WIFE, and they have children (however, I am unclear if these kids are his biological kids with this third wife, or if they are her kids from a prior marriage).

This church in Tennessee was allowing this sicko to act as a bass player on stage during various church services.

Many conservative Christians like to teach this falsehood that being married and being a parent are vital to making a person mature, godly, ethical, and loving, which is so much BUNK and nonsense, considering we have stories such as this one, where a man has been married THREE times in his life but raped kids before.

How did being thrice married prevent this creep from sexually assaulting girls? It did not. Marriage is not some kind of special salve or condition that makes a person behave in a moral fashion.

No, Focus On the Family, I Do Not Want to Civilize a Barbarian – via Biblical Personhood Blog

No, Focus On the Family, I Do Not Want to Civilize a Barbarian – via Biblical Personhood Blog

There is certainly nothing wrong with marriage or the nuclear family, but often times, in attempting to defend the nuclear family or the institution of marriage, a lot of Christians and conservative groups (such as Focus On The Family) err too far in making an idol out of both and denigrating singleness (or childlessness) in the process.

I have taken Focus on the Family to task before on that issue and one or two others.

Another blogger, Biblical Personhood, caught wind of a Focus on the Family blog post by  Glenn T. Stanton – well, it’s on a blog called “First Things,” which the lady blogger of Biblical Personhood says is an off-shoot of Focus on The Family.

I have discussed Stanton on my blog before, such as in these posts:

(Link): Focus on Family spokesperson, Stanton, actually says reason people should marry is for ‘church growth’

(Link):  Mefferd Guest Incredulous that Preachers Push Kids To Marry Early

Based on what I remember about Stanton, he can veer a little bit too much into idolizing marriage.

At any rate, here is the link to the blog post by Biblical Personhood, with some additional comments by me below this excerpt:

(Link): No, Focus on the Family, I do not want to civilize a barbarian via Biblical Personhood blog

Here is an excerpt from the opening (please click the link above to visit the other blog if you’d like to read the entire page):

From Biblical Personhood Blog:

(Link): Focus on the Family recently suggested something that seems, at first glance, to flatter women. I did not feel flattered at all. They suggested women are the number one way to change men for the better:

/// start quote

… the most fundamental social problem every community must solve is the unattached male. If his sexual, physical, and emotional energies are not governed and directed in a pro-social, domesticated manner, he will become the village’s most malignant cancer. Wives and children, in that order, are the only successful remedy ever found. – Glenn T. Stanton

/// end quote

This is highly problematic, to say the least.

From the theological perspective :

Have Focus On The Family never heard of Jesus and being born again? Surely Jesus is better at changing humans – even the alleged “malignant cancer” called unattached males – from the inside than any woman is? How could a Christian™ organization say that women, not Jesus, is the only remedy for men’s bad tendencies?

(( read the rest here ))

If you are an unmarried man (and you either want to stay single for the remainder of your life, or are aware you may never marry, even though you may want a wife), I’m sure you must really appreciate guys like Stanton saying you are basically a raging animal, or an immature man-baby, unless you are married to a woman.

You, if you are a single (unmarried) man, are a nothing, an incompetent, immoral loser unless you have a wife, is how Stanton’s reasoning comes across. You must have a wife and possibly father a child by said wife to count or to be a “real man.” This is pretty insulting stuff, especially bearing in mind that the Bible that Stanton likely would say he reads and agrees with, says nothing of the sort.

I did read over the Biblical Personhood blog post a day or two ago, but I don’t remember exactly everything that blog author wrote.

I will here add my own thoughts about the Stanton penned blog post. Some of my observations may be similar to those by the Biblical Personhood blogger.

Stanton writes:

Women create, shape, and maintain human culture. Manners exist because women exist. Worthy men adjust their behavior when a woman enters the room. They become better creatures. Civilization arises and endures because women have expectations of themselves and of those around them.

I disagree with just about everything he said there, on different levels, and for different reasons.

Most cultures are patriarchal, and this has been the way the world has been for thousands of years.

Women are not allowed to shape or maintain politics, marriage, or church – let alone culture, because men hold all the power. Women are taught by parents and culture from girlhood that this is normal, that men should be in charge, and females are conditioned from childhood to accept this and go along with it, especially Christian girls.

As much as I dislike blatant sexism, where men sound like cave-men and make loud, rude, condescending claims, such as women are not as logical or intelligent as men (this is used to justify limiting women in the workplace and so on)-
I also do not appreciate this (Link): benevolent sexist, noble-sounding, sappy and fouffy writing that tries to convince women that being subservient to men, allowing men to lead and protect them, and thus they can and should give up self-determination and their agency, is in their best interest, because dang it, women are so much more morally superior creatures to men.

This sort of writing is sugar-coated sexism. It’s asking women to give up their personhood,  identity, or their independence, in exchange for something else (in this case, the betterment of men or culture).

I’m really tired of how sexists keep demanding things of women, and nothing of men, of expecting women to fix men, or to fix society.

Man Alone At Zoo Accused of Being Pedophile For Taking Photos Around Public Fountain

He’ll probably swipe the following story I found and feature it on his own blog. Stop taking content from my blog, Morgan.

  • If you believe I am “untrustworthy,” stop using my material. You cannot have it both ways. Get off my blog – and don’t visit my Twitter, either.

—————————————–

I am unclear if the man in this story is married or not. He might be married.

Regardless, he is a photographer who went to a zoo alone.

He wanted to take photos of the architecture around the zoo.

Some women saw him taking photos, and automatically assumed that an adult alone snapping photos must be a pedophile.

The women got the zoo security involved – and I think local police eventually got involved, too. The guy showed the content of his camera to the security or the cops, which showed no photos of kids on it.

The guy was kicked out of the zoo for the remainder of the day.

I did a blog post about this a long time ago, but various studies have shown that the majority of pedophiles are MARRIED MEN – not single ones. Therefore, the women in this news story need to be more paranoid of married men.

Preacher Says in Sermon that Single Men Who Play Video Games Are Losers Who Have Retarded Spirits and This Creates Dating Problems for Women

Preacher Says in Sermon that Single Men Who Play Video Games Are Losers Who Have Retarded Spirits and This Creates Dating Problems for Women

According to this preacher, if you are an unmarried man who plays video games, you have a “retarded spirit.”

If you are a hetero single man, would you say that is a step up or a step down from being assumed to be homosexual, as far as assumptions, insults, and stereotypes about unmarried men go (especially ones by Christians)?

I do believe pastor Mark Driscoll (who is very sexist against women) has also said similar things about unmarried men, back when he was heading Mars Hill church.

I’m pretty sure that (Link): this is the church’s home page.

Married Preacher Raped Two Girls in His Church and Also Had Child Sexual Abuse (Porn) Collection- Some of it obtained by placing hidden cameras in church bathroom

I think I’ve long since given up on my parent’s idea that the way to meet a decent, kind, stand-up man to marry is at a church. (It’s a bit of a problem anyhow, since a lot of single men between the ages of 25 and 75 don’t attend churches much.)

I do not blog about every single story that I see come through my Twitter feed about Christian men (some who work as preachers) who are arrested for fondling teens, raping children, soliciting sex from minors, or having child sex abuse (aka child porn) collections.

If all I did was blog about those kind of stories, I would be on this blog 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It would be difficult for me to keep up with them all. (This blog post you see here, of this preacher who raped girls at his church, is the 3rd or 4th such story I’ve seen like this come through Twitter this week alone. And I saw a few similar stories last week and the week before.)

Not only is a guy saying he’s a Christian not a guarantee he is quality material, but this deviant guy is MARRIED.

A lot of Christians promote this untrue idea that being married is necessary to make a person fully mature, godly, and responsible. Obviously, being married does not make everyone mature and godly, because I have numerous stories like this one of married men who are guilty of raping children.

And obviously, a person does not have to reach some level of godliness or perfection – as some Christians teach – before they can land or earn a spouse on their own merit or from God. This guy is as imperfect and twisted as they come, yet he was married! God did not keep this man from getting a spouse and marrying.

So please, Christians out there, please stop advising adult singles – as some of you do – that if they are still single, it’s because God is “working on them,” God is trying to “clean them up to make them marriage material,” or they have to work on themselves to remove flaws or sins from their own life.

I am hard pressed to think of anyone more flawed and sick than a child rapist or an animal abuser, but it’s a fact that some stories you see in the news of child rapists and animal abusers are also married. It’s not a bunch of never-married adults out there raping children or harming animals.

GOP Consultant Rick Wilson to MSNBC: Trump Supporters ‘Childless Single Men Who Masturbate to Anime’

I am right wing, and a Republican (though I am lately thinking about leaving the GOP, but not for the Democrats. Both the GOP and the Democrats are disappointing, but for different reasons).

I have said on this blog before that many Republicans (or at least a percentage) are stuck in the 1950s, and that they idolize the nuclear family. They ostracize or marginalize anyone who is not married with children (which is quite what conservative Christians do).

Some of the following links pertain to Donald Trump. I know a lot of people find Trump polarizing, but I don’t have strong opinions for or against the guy.

I don’t keep up with politics as much as I used to do, so I just happen to see the occasional blurb or Tweet about Trump. From what I’ve seen the last several months, Trump says offensive or over the top things. Every so often, he makes a point that I agree with a tiny bit.

It’s highly inappropriate for a Republican to trash un-married or childless men for any reason, but I’d also include doing so for the sake of taking Trump down a peg or two. Insulting people for being single or childless, or in the context of scoring political points, is totally uncalled for.

I suppose the GOP yea-hoo who made these disparaging remarks about single or childless people is unaware that most Americans today are single, and more and more are forgoing parenthood (Link about that and see this link).

Commenting on what it was like to be single in the time and culture of Jesus:

  • …. Girls were mostly married by the age of twelve, and if a man wasn’t married by the age of twenty the gossips started comparing notes and looking for a reason.
  • …. So why was Jesus still single at the age of thirty? It was clear to all who knew him. No-one would let his daughter marry someone of questionable parentage since, if there was any irregularity in their birth, it could cast doubt on the legitimacy of their children for ten generations. And Jesus’ birth, as everyone knew, was very irregular.
  • …. Jesus not only shared the stigma of being single – he also tried to do something to alleviate it for other single people. Jewish law excused eunuchs from the command to marry, because they couldn’t physically fulfil the duty to have children.

TV Already Has Enough Token Homosexuals – Daryl Dixon Should Remain a Celibate Hetero Single – and Not All Older Single Men Are Homosexual

TV Already Has Enough Token Homosexuals – Daryl Dixon Should Remain a Celibate Hetero Single – and Not All Older Single Men Are Homosexual

Oh brother. I seriously doubt that The Walking Dead writers are going to actually make fan favorite Daryl Dixon a homosexual, but it sure makes for good publicity.

I cannot, off the top of my head, think of any television show that has an adult single over the age of 30 who is a virgin and who is living a celibate life.

I cannot think of many progressive Christian or secular writers who support adult virgins, celibates, or asexuals. They will sit around blogging in support of every form of sexuality or sexual deviancy under the sun but for people who chose to abstain from sex.

About the entire cast of the GLEE television series was homosexual. The television series “Modern Family” has a homosexual couple who adopted a child. “Will and Grace” featured two homosexual guys as their main characters. “Faking It” is an MTV show about a girl who thinks she might be a lesbian.

There have been several other shows over the years that have featured homosexuals and lesbians. The world does not need anymore homosexual or lesbian characters, any more than the world needs another marriage sermon (see this page).

If folks are going to insist that each and every form of sexuality get equal screen time, I want to see more adult single, hetero virgin/celibate characters. Maybe also include some adult celibate homosexual characters, too.

It is so cliched’ for every character on a show to date, sex it up, or marry – there’s nothing special or interesting about it. One of the reasons I like the Daryl Dixon character is precisely due to the fact he seemingly lacks a love life and sex. It’s just him and his crossbow, shooting zombies in their faces.

No, Daryl Dixon should not be made into a homosexual character who dates. I also don’t want to see him get a girlfriend. Him getting into any sort of sexual or romantic relationship would ruin the character to a degree, maybe totally.

I also want to say that one common view that pops up on pages that report this story is damaging to hetero virgin men who are over 25 or so years of age: the assumption is that if people do not see a man over 25, 30 or older with a woman, he MUST be a homosexual.

This knee-jerk reflection is very insulting and offensive to hetero males who are single into adulthood, ones with Christian or traditional values who don’t believe that homosexual behavior is moral. Just because a man is not dating a woman, has never dated, or has never married or never had sex with a woman, does NOT necessarily mean he is a closeted homosexual or is one in practice.

There are asexual and celibate older HETERO men out there (just as there are asexual and celibate older HETERO women too).

(Link): Illinois Man Accused of Killing Wife on Valentine’s Day Heads to Trial

A former Baptist missionary from Illinois is on trial for allegedly killing his wife on Valentine’s Day so he could be with the Lithuanian college student prosecutors say is his mistress.

Nathan Leuthold, 39, of Peoria, Ill., called police to his home on Feb. 14, 2013, saying he was the victim of a home invasion. It was there that officers found the body of his wife, Denise Leuthold, with a single gunshot wound to the head.

“I observed some kitchen cabinets open, and some kitchen drawers on the floor. I felt that this was not an ordinary burglary,” Officer Richard Linthicum testified.

Investigators say Denise Leuthold was killed with a Glock 40, the same gun Leuthold owns but which is now missing. They also found Internet searches for “how to muffle a gun,” “hitting someone over the head to knock them out,” and “lethal injection,” on Leuthold’s computer.

Leuthold has been charged with first degree murder. Prosecutors say they believe he murdered his wife so he could be with Aina Dobilaite, the 20-year-old college student.

Leuthold and his wife met Dobilaite during a missionairy trip to Lithuania. When she turned 18, the couple sponsored her to come to the United States.

Now prosecutors say they believe Leuthold’s relationship with the college student was more than just a sponsored student.

“I know you want me dead. Why do you want to humiliate me by running around with a 20-year-old,” Leuthold’s wife allegedly wrote in a day planner entry investigators found.

Leuthold’s lawyers say there is no evidence that Leuthold was romantically involved with the college student or that he shot his wife on Valentine’s Day.

If convicted, Leuthold faces up to 45 years in prison.

Pervy Preacher from Seattle who teaches men “to objectify women, by his over emphasis of sexualization of women and subservience” (Re Driscoll)

I have blogged on this cretin before. Driscoll is sexist, and anti-singles, both anti male singles and anti female singles.

Driscoll, oddly, out of one side of his mouth, will condemn pornography in some of his sermons or books, but then tell his male church members on other occasions, whether in sermons or in books, that their wives are nothing more than sex blow up dolls, there to do their every sexual bidding, even indulging in sex acts most women do not want or enjoy, such as anal sex, or performing a blow job on their husband.

(That’s right men, most women do not like giving blow jobs, which is one of your seemingly biggest fantasies. Over the span of my entire life, all women I’ve met in person, or have read their musings online, only one or two have said they enjoy performing oral sex on a man. Most women get no pleasure out of it, it grosses them out, and many say it makes them feel like a five dollar crack whore.

I also notice that when writing about marital sex, or sermonizing on it, many conservative male preachers never, ever advise the husbands to perform oral sex on their wives, or perform whatever other sex act… it’s always very selfishly framed in how the woman can meet the man’s sexual needs.)

Mark Driscoll is a married father, and he is a sexual pervert… and yet, Christians insist on portraying or thinking of all older (as in over age 30) never-married, childless men as being homosexuals, over sexed Don Juans, or some other type of sexual deviant.

That Driscoll is on record (in his book on marriage, if I am not mistaken, or was it a sermon?) as saying he and his wife’s marriage was sexless for a few years (or unsatisfactory sexually in some other manner) also does not speak well of the conservative Christian propaganda that married sex is super great, so, if you just wait until you’re married to have sex, there will be fire works in the bedroom all the time.

A long excerpt from

    SEX

It was also around the mid-2000s that members noticed Driscoll’s growing preoccupation with sex.

Driscoll also started to preach more about male privilege and sexual entitlement. This had a damaging impact on many marriages, said Rob Thain Smith, who, with Merle, was acting as an informal marriage counselor to many young couples.

“He created enormous abuse of wives,” Smith said. “He helped young men objectify women, by his over emphasis of sexualization of women and subservience.”

“The way Driscoll talked, you thought that he was getting it every night. All these men are seeing his hot wife, and are thinking he’s got it made.”

In Real Marriage, Driscoll bitterly describes a largely sexless marriage, and seems to imply that he’s been acting out all these years because he was sexually frustrated at home.

A Grandfather and Married Men Among 600+ Adult Men Arrested for Pedophilia in UK Major Child Porn Crackdown – parenthood is not a guarantee a person will be more ethical

A Grandfather and Married Men Among 600+ Adult Men Arrested for Pedophilia in UK Major Child Porn Crackdown – parenthood is not a guarantee a person will be more ethical

UK Legal Crackdown: married men and a grandfather among the 600+ perverts arrested for child porn (links farther below)

This echoes a previous post I did over a year ago about another child sex crackdown by police, and out of the however many men arrested, several were MARRIED FATHERS.

That’s right, sometimes married people, or people who are parents, do bad things, including molesting children.

If you are new to this blog and not familiar with Southern Baptist, Reformed, Fundamentalist, or evangelical views about family, marriage, parenthood, singleness, and sex, you may find that a very odd statement.

Of course married parents can and do bad things, just like anyone else, you are thinking.

I know that. You know that.

But unfortunately there are stereotypes about married people and parents (and adult singles) among conservative Christians. Namely, that marriage and parenting automatically bestow (or some may teach it may take a matter of years) wonderful qualities on a person, such as maturity, responsibility, godliness, and makes a person far less likely to engage in sexual sin.

Conversely, married Christians assume that all or most adult singles (including Christian ones, and ones who are also childless), are (pick one or more from the list):
immature, stuck in arrested development, losers, selfish, ungodly, highly promiscuous (or more easily enticed by sexual sin, or more prone to sexual sin), irresponsible, untrustworthy, suspicious, homosexual, or weird.

Never mind the Bible does not teach that being married or a parent instantly sanctifies a person (sanctification is a work of the Holy Spirit), nor does the Bible teach that singlehood is an inferior, or less godly state of being, than marriage.

Most Christians do not care that these stereotypes are unbiblical, insulting, and false. Some of them actually assume the Bible supports all or most of these ideas. So they continue to keep and spread the stereotypes in books, blogs, podcasts, their TV shows, sermons, and magazines.

Christians often only permit MARRIED MEN WHO ARE FATHERS to serve in positions of influence and responsibility in churches, even though the Bible does not support this ((Link): here is one post about this).

Several of the Bible verses married Christians used to back up their biases against single adults are twisted to support prejudice against singles. The Bible does not explicitly limit certain leadership roles to married parents.

As such news stories of married fathers who get caught doing things like molesting children attest, marriage and parenthood do not necessarily make a person more loving, ethical, or godly. Here’s another example below.

At this time, I am still googling around to find out how many of the men caught in this police sting are married fathers. So far I have found one example of a GRANDFATHER who was caught.

I sometimes post links to news articles on this blog of parents, preachers, or married people who do immoral or illegal activities. There have been so many of these stories showing up in my Twitter feed the past two weeks, I can hardly keep up.

I will not be blogging on all of them. For about every news story I blog about of a parent who murders her child, or a married man who gets caught stabbing his wife to death or whatever, there are about 2 to 4 I do NOT get around to publishing on my blog – Bear that in mind anytime you visit my blog and see these types of stories.

So. Christians, particularly Southern Baptist, evangelicals, Reformed, and other flavors of Christians, like to spout off how parenthood and marriage make people more ethical, godly, and mature and immune from sexual sin, while, at the same time, they teach the insulting views that anyone who is still single and/or childless past age 30, is selfish or a loser or a closeted homosexual.

Here is yet another example of how marriage does not make a person more godly, ethical or mature:

There was a story in the news this past week of an idiot father, Harris, who killed his toddler son by intentionally leaving him locked in a hot car for several hours.

The police examined Harris’ home computer and say both he and his wife researched information online on ‘how long does it take for child to die in a hot car’ and so forth.

But wait, it gets even better. According to headlines I saw today, not only did Dirt Bag Dad leave his toddler son to die in a hot car, but he “sexted” women, including TEENAGERS, while his kid was dying, and in the weeks before. (See links to that below for more.)

I’m in my early 40s but am like a cranky old woman when it comes to babies and children. I have never married and never had children. I do not like children or babies or being around them. I try to avoid them if I can.

But you know what: I would never intentionally harm or murder a baby or a child. If I saw a kid in trouble, I would come to his or her assistance, or at least call the police.

I bring this all up because it is a common, nasty stereotype in Southern Baptist, Reformed, Fundamentalist, and evangelical Christianity that single adults and the childless (or childfree) are selfish, warped, weird, immature losers, but that parents and the married are instantly more godly, ethical, and more mature. I think news stories like the ones I’ve linked to below debunk these Christian stereotypes.

Understand that I am NOT opposed to people remaining virgins until marriage, but:
I also think this news story blows holes in the evangelical sex propaganda that if people just maintain virginity until marriage, that the sex will be mindblowing, great, frequent, and constant.

How “mindblowing” was this married father’s sex life if he was sexting women and teen girls with nude photos?

On a last note: some Christians will argue that you must become perfect and godly before God will reward you with a spouse. Is a man, like the one in this news story below, who murders his own two year old son and who sends pornographic photos to young teen women, perfect and godly?

If you’re a Christian who believes in the nonsense that an unmarried person must clean herself up, become godly and perfect, before God will reward her with a spouse, please explain what it was this dirt bag father did to merit a spouse from God? He is far from perfect, godly, and loving.

Harris was exchanging nude photos with several women, including teenagers, even on the day his son died when he was at work, Stoddard said. In the weeks before the boy’s death, the man also had looked at a website that advocated against having children and had done an Internet search for “how to survive in prison,” the detective said.

MARIETTA, Ga. — A Georgia man charged with murder in his 22-month-old son’s death was sexting with several women on the day of his son’s death and that he had two life insurance policies on his son, a detective testified Thursday.

During a probable cause hearing in Cobb County Magistrate Court for Justin Ross Harris, Cobb County Police Detective Phil Stoddard said Harris, who is charged with murder and child cruelty in the June 18 death of his young son, Cooper, intentionally left his son in the car.

Stoddard testified the two life insurance policies on Cooper were for $2,000 and $25,000.

The detective also testified that Harris had accessed websites advocating “child free” and searched “how to survive prison” before Cooper died.

The suburban Atlanta father accused of murdering his toddler by leaving him in a hot SUV for several hours was in an unhappy marriage and wanted a “child-free life,” a detective testified Thursday.

Justin Ross Harris, 33, of Marietta, had even been sexting with other women in the two weeks before son Cooper was found dead in the back seat of the family SUV on June 18, said Cobb County Det. Phil Stoddard.

Prosecutors during Harris’ probable cause hearing were building a case for why Harris allegedly left his son in a sweltering car on purpose while he was at work. “Evidence shows he has this whole second life … with alternate personas,” Stoddard said. It was also revealed that Harris and his wife, Leanna, had two life insurance policies on their 22-month-old son.

You May Be Surprised How Many Born-Again Christians Use Ashley Madison (web site for married cheaters); story from Huffington Post

You May Be Surprised How Many Born-Again Christians Use Ashley Madison (web site for married cheaters); story from Huffington Post

Farther below: link to a news story about married Christians using a site that facilitates hook-ups for Christians who want to have extra-marital affairs.

Christians – usually the married ones – and including a lot of preachers and Christian literature – constantly like to insist that singles, those who are UN-married, are promiscuous and very prone to sexual sin. Never mind that some of us are virgins over the age of 30.

Many Christians, including pastors, also frequently like to maintain and spread a view that marriage and parenting instantly mature a person, or make a person more godly, ethical, and mature, and that marriage in particular makes a person somehow invulnerable to sexual sin.

I have numerous examples on this blog (see (Link): this post) of married people, some who are Christian, who were found out, or arrested for, murder, drug addiction, molesting children, owning or using child porn, and having affairs.

Now comes another example. Married people who use websites such as Ashley Madison to meet other people for the express purpose of having affairs – now, this time, this site reports it’s born again Christians who are using the service:

(Link): You May Be Surprised How Many Born-Again Christians Use Ashley Madison story from Huffington Post

The Huffington Post | By Taryn Hillin

Having faith doesn’t necessarily mean you’re faithful… to your spouse.

A new survey conducted by Ashley Madison — a dating website for people already in relationships — sought to discover the link between religion and infidelity by asking 105,000 of its members around the world about their religious affiliation. More than 60,000 of the respondents were in the U.S.

It turns out, one in four members who responded described themselves as “born again” Evangelist Christians. …

… Here’s the entire breakdown:

Evangelist 25.1%
Protestant 22.7%
Catholic 22.75%
Agnostic 2%
Mormon 1.6%
Muslim 1.5%
Jewish 1.4%
Atheist 1.4%
Jehovah’s Witness 0.5%
Hindusim 0.3%
For comparison, Pew Research breaks down the religious composition of the U.S. on its website, and the world population of various religions.

(Link): New Survey Shows Evangelical Christians Cheat On Their Spouses The Most

I would also add that this news story demolishes yet another myth Christians create about marriage that they repeat to singles: that God will not send you a spouse unless you become perfect, holy, or a great person. They teach if you are still single, it’s because God is working on cleaning you up and making you worthy of a spouse. Sometimes Christians will express these views by saying, “Don’t look for the one, BE the one.”

If we have people who claim to be Christian who are using sites to meet other people in order to arrange extra-marital affairs, clearly, marriage did not make them holy, good, or perfect, nor were they perfect to start with.

If God permits adulterers, such as people who use cheating sites, to get spouses, and God has in fact allowed such sexual sinners to obtain spouses, this puts a huge hole in the Christian theory that a person has to “earn” a spouse by being good.

Another Christian fable about marriage is that they will tell teenaged kids that if they wait until marriage to have sex, that the sex will be regular and “mindblowing.” How good is married sex, really and actually, if some married Christians are turning to “hook-up” sites such as Ashley Madison to meet mistresses? The married sex cannot be that great if people are straying to find other sexual partners.

Are Older Men’s Sperm Really Any Worse? (study) Also: article author assumes men single and/or childless until their late 30s and older are probably autistic, retarded, or drooling simpletons

TL;DR summary of article farther below = Yes, older dude’s sperm (older in this article is divided up in this article as being roughly, dudes ages 30 – 40, 40 – 50, and 50 and older) is not as good. You’re more likely to pop out kid with mental or psychological issues than a dude who fathers a kid while in his 20s.

The author of this seems to assume that the kind of dude who “finally” gets married and cranks out kids “later in life” is probably single for so long because he’s autistic, a drooling basket case, or goodness knows what.

Excerpt from article that implies that older single / first time married men are mentally retarded or socially inept losers:

The type of men who have children later in life may be different from those who do not, and those differences may be at least partially responsible for the increased autism rates.

How condescending and rude.

If older single / childless men are not suspected of being Totally Ghey, they are assumed of being pedophiles, or now, mentally handicapped.

Okay, so if you are a single man past age 30, 35, 40, 45, you are obviously (sarc tags here) autistic, mentally retarded, or inept.

How do you older single and childless guys so much as tie your own shoes in the morning, or brush your teeth, let alone actually and finally get a woman to procreate with “later in life”?

How do you put a T-shirt on? Can you do it alone, or do you need help with that?

If you do put a T-shirt on alone, do you have to have instructions for that, like a big arrow printed on the shirt, pointing at the hole in the middle that says, ‘head goes here?’

How do you make it through life, since you are so obviously incapable and incompetent of so much as attracting a wife, unlike normal men, who marry in their 20s, you big freako loser???

Married Preacher, Father of Eight Kids, Used Nanny as Sex Object – update on Phillips story

Married Preacher, Father of Eight Kids, Used Nanny as Sex Object – update on Phillips story
———————————————
WARNING. Post ahead contains some sexy scenarios, some adult material, if you will.
———————————————
I have written of this story before – twice. Here’s yet another update on the Phillips saga.

Most Christians don’t support folks like me, who have stayed virgins into our 40s or older – I’ve never been married, but had wanted to be – but instead, Christians preach repeatedly on the importance of marriage and having children. They claim to defend and revere “family values.”

Christians pay attention to marriage, married couples, and children and parenting all the time, but do little for or about older singles.

I’m treated like persona non grata, or like a leper, depending on which denomination we’re considering, for being a childless, never married, 40 something virginal woman.

But these guys who work as preachers who espouse the “nuclear family” ideal, who are married, some are fathers, get caught in affairs all the time. They are such flaming hypocrites it makes me want to form a fist and punch a hole in the wall.

Instead of Christians harboring the unfair stereotype that never married men past age 30 are child molestors, given the staggering amount of news items I keep seeing of MARRIED CHRISTIAN MEN (see this link for examples) who are using prostitutes, having affairs, molesting kids, and acting inappropriate towards young women, I think the stereotype needs to be dropped.

It’s much more accurate for Christians to suspect married men of sexual sin than un-married ones.

We have an update on another married preacher, a marriage- and- family idolater, Doug Phillips, who apparently cheated on his wife, which you can read at (Link): Spiritual Sounding Board

Excerpts from WND article:

    April 2014

Lawsuit claims religious leader promised to marry young woman after wife dies

    by CHELSEA SCHILLING

(Warning: This story contains explicit descriptions of alleged sexual conduct described in a lawsuit and may be offensive to some readers.)

The former leader of a popular Christian ministry – who resigned from his position after confessing to an “inappropriate” relationship – is now the subject of a lawsuit that claims he “methodically groomed” and made unwanted sexual contact with a young woman after serving as an authority figure in her life for more than a decade.

Doug Phillips, a husband and father of eight children, had been a popular and controversial figure in the homeschooling movement and a leading advocate of “biblical patriarchy” before his resignation from Vision Forum Ministries and Boerne Christian Assembly, a Baptist church outside San Antonio, Texas, at which he had served as an elder and preached hundreds of sermons.

… According to the teachings of the patriarchy movement, also known as the stay-at-home daughters or quiverfull movement, young women remain at home under the protection of their fathers.

They’re generally expected not to work outside their home or go to college, and they’re taught to abide by strict gender roles in which men have authority over women.

    ‘A personal sex object’

In the complaint filed in Kendall County District Court in Texas Tuesday morning, Phillips is accused of using a woman named Lourdes Torres, now 29, as “a personal sex object” over a period of five years.

… Torres said she met Phillips and his wife, Beall, at a homeschooling conference in November 1999 when Torres was 15 years old.

Torres spent many hours in the Phillips home, cared for their children and helped run the family farm. She was invited on trips with the family to Hawaii, Virginia, Mexico, Florida and other states.

By 2007, according to the complaint, Phillips began “to pay special attention” to Torres, complementing her beauty and devotion to his family, giving her money, touching her, asking her personal questions about her thoughts and life plans and telling her he would take care of her.

By October of that year, the lawsuit states, Phillips invited Torres’ family to live with him as they were moving into a new home: “Phillips entered [Torres’] bedroom and without her consent began touching her breasts, stomach, back, neck, and waist.” Torres alleges she began to cry and ask Phillips to stop as he rubbed his genitals on her and “masturbated and ejaculated on her.” She claims the behavior continued, and Phillips told her he loved her and intended to marry her and “blatantly disregarded her requests” that he stop.

“Douglas Phillips, on the evenings he visited Ms. Torres, persuaded her that he was not doing anything wrong, that he intended to marry Ms. Torres, and that his wife would die shortly and enable him to marry Ms. Torres,” the complaint states. “He further repeatedly told Ms. Torres that he loved her, that he would take care of her, and that what they were doing was not wrong. He also stated that if it was wrong, it was completely her fault.”

Published: Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 16:38 PM.

A married Baptist minister said he needs prayers and forgiveness after he was accused of grabbing a woman, throwing money at her and asking for sex in a motel Tuesday.

“I have talked to God all night last night and today,” Forest City pastor Robert Harris said Wednesday.

This is yet another example of why single Christian women who desire marriage need to judge a man by his character, not by a profession of faith.

This is another example of why Christian single women who want to marry need to disregard the “be not yoked to an unbeliever” Bible verse, as it’s totally pointless, since so many male believers are sexual deviants (or abusive).

And I guess his married Christian sex life with his wife wasn’t so hot if he was looking to get sex from another woman (Christians like to brain wash singles into thinking sex is worth the wait because married sex is supposedly higher quality and/or more frequent than unmarried sex).

(Link): Pastor charged with sexual battery: ‘I allowed the devil to motivate my mind’

    March 2014
    By Ken Lemon
GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A Gastonia pastor said the devil led him to a Super 8, where police said he asked a woman for sex.

Officers told Channel 9 that the pastor said he thought the woman was a prostitute and threw a $20 bill at her.

Robert Harris said Wednesday he will tell his congregation that he asked for sex from a woman in a Gastonia motel.

He said he will ask for their forgiveness and it will be up to them to decide if they keep him as their leader

Harris has been the pastor at Harriett Memorial Freewill Baptist Church in Forest City for the past 13 years.

He said he had counseled a couple at the Super 8 in Gastonia 10 years ago.

He went back last night knocking on a woman’s door.
The woman said she did not want to be identified.

“He asked me if I wanted to have some fun,” she said.

She told him no. He left and she called 911.

Her baby was on the bed and she was on the phone with police when Harris came back.

“(He) tried to push himself in on me. Threw me a $20 bill and said, ‘There is more where that came from. Just let me in for a few minutes,’ knowing my 12-month-old daughter was right there with me,” the woman said.

The officer on the phone said he heard Harris making vulgar requests to the woman.

The arresting officer said Harris claimed he had come to that hotel in the past for sex.

Channel 9 spoke to Harris by phone.

“I should never have been in that place, period,” Harris said.

He said he had never seen that woman before and wanted to apologize to her.

“I beg for her forgiveness that I was wrong. I asked God to forgive me,” he said.

He said he hadn’t told his family or parishioners.

He said he wanted to go to God in prayer first.

“I have ruined my life. I have ruined my ministry. I have ruined my family,” Harris said.

His accuser was stunned when we told her that Harris was a minister.

She thinks any punishment he receives should be far greater than the average person.

“He is abusing the people, not just me,” she said.

Harris said he had not forgiven himself for what he has done.
