A man in Port Orange, Florida, has been sentenced to two years in prison for not telling his sexual partners he was infected with HIV.
“Gentry Burns, 27, pleaded no contest Thursday to one count of uninformed HIV-infected sexual intercourse. Two other counts were dropped,” WESH (Link): reported.
Burns was initially charged in 2019 once an ex-girlfriend stepped forward with information that he was having sex with other women and apparently not telling them he was infected.
He will be put on probation for 12 months following his release from prison, the outlet stated.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times crime blotter, the long, Fourth of July weekend was one of the deadliest in Chicago this year. Seventeen people were killed, and at least ninety-nine others were wounded because of gun violence.
Yesterday, Mayor Lori Lightfoot met with Dementia Joe to discuss ways the federal government could help with the gun violence in the city. Chicago already has some of the strictest gun laws in the country, yet, somehow criminals keep getting guns and bringing them in.
But, I digress… Lori and Joe are on it, though—don’t you worry!
And Chicago’s other focus? Ensuring the children of the city are safe from sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies.
Because you don’t want to get killed by a deadly STD before that stray bullet gets its chance.
Starting this fall, free condoms will be available at Chicago Public Schools with students fifth grade or older.

According to a new study, cases of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including chlamydia and gonorrhea could soon spike as the COVID-19 pandemic winds down.
As we’re heading what the media has referred to as “hot vax summer,” experts are worried that STIs could return with a vengeance.
Researchers analyzed positivity rates based on data from over 18.6 million tests performed across the US from January 2019 through June 2020.

The New Summer of Love: ‘People are Desperate to Have Sex – It’s Been A Long Year’
Why are people so sex obsessed?
I’m not going to copy the whole article here to my blog, but one thing I noticed about it is that a lot of people quoted in the article are women – and they are women who talked about how much they miss having sex and would like to be having sex again.
That is definitely against moronic Christian gender complementarian teachings and assumptions that only men want sex. Complementarians assume all women lack a libido.

Whether single, curious or just plain horny, many people are planning to make the most of life after lockdowns. Are we ready to get up close and personal?

he past year has changed 35-year-old Georgie’s outlook on dating. Several disappointing socially distanced dates and limp text exchanges meant she stopped using dating apps at the beginning of 2021.
And now her parents have been vaccinated, she feels confident about returning to physical dates, “but not to the apps”, she says. “As things open up, I’m going to lean into spontaneity; I’m going to say yes to every invitation and seize every opportunity. If I feel a connection with someone at a social gathering, a festival or even a bus stop, I’ll go and talk to them. I’m going to be way more carpe fucking diem about it.”

Super. COVID May Be Leading To More Resistant STDs by J. Shaw

This story actually broke earlier in the week, so if you haven’t thrown out your 2020 bingo cards yet and you had “super gonorrhea,” break out your daubing pen because this is your lucky day.
The World Health Organization is warning the public that certain measures taken to combat the COVID pandemic may already be resulting in mutations of some sexually transmitted diseases that are highly resistant to antibiotics.
This is of particular concern in the case of gonorrhea because there have been significant surges in new cases around the world in the past couple of years, particularly in parts of Africa. But the United States has been seeing similar increases in new infections.

One Million New Sexually Transmitted Infections Every Day, Says WHO
(Link): One Million New Sexually Transmitted Infections Every Day, Says WHO
One million new sexually transmitted infections (STIs) occur every single day, the World Health Organization has estimated.
That means more than 376 million new cases annually of four infections – chlamydia, gonorrhoea, trichomoniasis, and syphilis.
The WHO highlights a lack of progress in stopping the spread of STIs, and says its figures are a “wake-up call”.
Experts are particularly concerned about the rise in drug-resistant STIs.

Why is pays to be celibate….

A German police officer was found guilty of sexual assault after he removed his condom during intercourse without telling his partner, a disturbing trend called “stealthing.”
This marks the first case of “stealthing” that’s been prosecuted in Germany. The 36-year-old defendant was sentenced on Dec. 11. He received an eight-month jail sentence, was fined $3,400 in damages and is required to pay a $109 fine to pay for the victim’s STI test.
Court spokesperson Lisa Jani told CNN the perp carried out the offense at his apartment in Berlin.
The victim “explicitly requested” that the police officer wear a condom, and she did not give consent to having unprotected sexual intercourse. She realized he was not wearing a condom when he ejaculated.

Divorced 50-Something Lady Named Andy Says Her Ex Husband Gave Her an STD
On the November 6, 2018 episode of “The 700 Club” the Christian show host received a letter from a 54 year old woman named “Andy.”
I do not as of yet see this letter uploaded on (Link): the 700 Club You Tube account, (it would probably be uploaded under the “Your Questions, Honest Answers” section – edit: the just uploaded the ENTIRE day’s episode, the letter comes towards the end of the show/video), and I saw this letter only one time, so I am having to go on memory here.
(Whoever runs the 700 Club You Tube account has dropped the ball over the past year: they used to promptly upload each and every episode and the “Answers to Questions” segments every day within an hour after airing on TV, but they’ve not been doing that lately I have noticed. Anyway.)
From what I can recall, this Andy lady (who is apparently a Christian) said she was married to her husband for about twenty years.
Andy said at one stage of their marriage that her husband had an affair with another woman, which resulted in the husband contracting a very bad STD (sexually transmitted disease), and he passed it on to her.
This played a role in why she divorced her husband. She remains single now.
