A jealous ex-husband laughed as he told police how he shot off his wife’s new lover’s penis with a handgun.

Bunteurm Oonkaew, 37, had been drinking with his own girlfriend when he flew into a rage and stormed over to his ex-wife’s home in Chumphon, southern Thailand, on Thursday night.

He pushed open the door before pointing the gun at Somchai Sakoolchai, 40, and blasting him in the groin, which Bunteurm claims was an accident.

Horrified ex-wife Ubonrat, 35, called the police and Bunteurm, a lottery ticket seller, was arrested at his home.

Sometimes I think it’s better to be single, that I dodged a bullet by never having married.

Can you imagine getting married, and at some point in your marriage, your husband wants to start wearing lip stick and dresses?

If these men at any point prior to marriage think they want to be a cross dresser, act like a transgender, or think they might be attracted to other men, they need to stop dating or marrying women!

It’s diabolical to walk into a marriage harboring some kind of secret desire or predilection, only to spring it on your spouse X years into life together! You’re wasting the other person’s time and likely to break their heart.

This also goes to show, that contra to Marriage-worshippers like Brad Wilcox, Al Mohler, and others, that marriage does NOT make a person more giving, mature, ethical, loving, or responsible.

I am sorry these people are dead – truly – but part of me marvels when I see stories like this one (and I’ve got more like this one on this blog).

Stories of people who die within hours or days of just having gotten married.

I am a conservative, so I’ve nothing against “the nuclear family” and marriage and so on, but I disagree to the insane degree to which other conservative push those concepts.

They will often publish bogus studies claiming that married persons are happier or healthier than singles (again, such studies have been proven false before), but they never account for the news items or situations where two people marry, and one of them turns out – is found out after marriage by the other spouse – to be abusive, a pedophile, or where one or both die in a car accident or whatever within moments of marriage.

The older I get, I’m learning that a lot of life is not actually what happens to you (or what does not happen), but how you view the things that happen to you (or well, the things that don’t happen to you – if you’re wanting something to happen but it never does).

AT least four people including a bride have been killed after a car carrying a wedding party skidded off a road and plunged into a steep rocky ravine.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in Pakistan after the vehicle, which had nine people inside including three kids and a baby, crashed before being swept away by a river, it’s reported.

It’s understood the driver lost control of the car while turning a sharp bend on the Muzaffarabad-Neelam Valley road before plummeting into a deep gorge.

A MAN bought the house next to his ex-wife and erected a giant statue outside giving her the middle finger.

Alan Markovitz put the enormous bronze statue of a hand with its middle finger raised on his back porch, aimed at the windows of his ex-wife’s house.

The $7,000 statue is almost 12 feet tall, and it even has a spotlight on it so that the neighbors can see it at night.

This one hits close to home because it happened between my parents. We had a family “friend” who was a lawyer and my parents agreed that he would be the lawyer for both of them as a mediator.

As I was saying on Twitter, the older I get, and I continue to see such news stories as the one in this post, the happier I feel to be single and celibate.

I cannot believe as I grew up that the evangelical / Baptist / Protestant culture brainwashed everyone to think that being single is “second best” and being chaste over the age of 25 was “impossible” or somehow “not worth it.”

I see so many people who, as teens or adults, are not happy from having sex outside of marriage, or they get married, and they have a sexless marriage, or their spouse abuses them.

You’re ultimately not going to find healing and hope in another person (i.e., a spouse).

This news story should be another sign to Christians who keep peddling false notions about singleness, dating, sex, and marriage that sexual purity is not for singles only.

You have married people out there who think it’s acceptable to work as “sex coaches,” or open their own “only fans” accounts, or to “wife swap” (see links under “Related” below for examples).

Churches need to remind MARRIED people that sexual purity is for them as well. It’s not single adults that are falling into sexual temptations left and right, it’s married couples who are.

I don’t approve of this married woman’s “sex coach” occupation, but no, I sure don’t defend the husband stabbing her to death over it, or for whatever reasons he had.

Note that these are two married people who had a couple of children together. The pro-marriage and pro-have-children Christians and conservatives are wrong to teach (as they do) that getting married and having children will always (or even usually) make people more godly, loving, mature and ethical.

I have many more examples on my blog here that demonstrate that marriage and/or parenthood do NOT make people more ethical, responsible, godly, loving, mature, etc.
