37 Year Old Man Dies Within Hours After Marrying

37 Year Old Man Dies Within Hours After Marrying

Sorry that this guy has died – but for the purposes of my blog, this is kind of illuminating or amusing – NOT that it’s amusing that he’s dead, mind you (truly, sorry he’s passed away) –  but that it so acutely points out the problem with the “marriage will make you happier, safer, and more healthy in life” propaganda my fellow conservatives are always peddling.

Obviously, being married didn’t make this guy any happier or more secure, and it didn’t magically improve his health – he’s deceased now.

Getting married is NOT a fairy tale guarantee that it will give you a “happily ever after” ending.

I have more news stories on my blog that are similar – news reports of other people who were killed moments before, during, or after their wedding. You can see some of those similar stories at the bottom of this post, under “Related.”

Diabetic Groom-To-Be Dies After Taking Cheaper Insulin to Pay for Wedding

Diabetic Groom-To-Be Dies After Taking Cheaper Insulin to Pay for Wedding

I am publishing this story to my blog in 2022, but it is from 2019. I don’t  know how I overlooked this one.

This goes to show that even if you get married it’s not a guarantee it’s going to end well, work out well, or bring you happiness.

The high price of medicine cost him his life.

When Josh Wilkerson turned 26, he aged out of his stepfather’s private health insurance and he was unable to afford his nearly $1,200-a-month insulin.

He began rationing his pricey prescription, before a doctor recommended taking ReliOn, an over-the-counter brand sold for $25 a vial at Walmart.

“It didn’t work for his body,” his mom, Erin Wilson-Weaver, tells The Post. Her son died June 14, and she’s still in mourning — but determined to advocate in his memory.

The latest crime being committed in San Francisco is thugs targeting photographers who are shooting engagement photoshoots. Two such robberies were attempted on Wednesday afternoon in broad daylight with numerous witnesses.

Two photographers shooting outside the romantic Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco were the targets of armed thieves.

A photographer from Dallas, Texas, flew into San Francisco to shoot an engagement photo session for a couple around 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday.

Suddenly, two armed and masked men attempted to steal the photographer’s expensive camera equipment at gunpoint. There were reportedly dozens of witnesses, but nobody intervened.

People in a quiet Norfolk village have launched a campaign to deter people from getting married in a nearby stately home.

Couples wanting to get married the 16th century Oxnead Hall near Aylsham are greeted with ‘brides and grooms are not welcome’ signs on their drive to the venue.

Neighbours have complained about people wandering through their yards and keeping them awake at night with loud music.

Susi and Roger Crane, who own a farm which surrounds the venue, are among those who’ve had enough.

This bride-to-be is kicking her wedding off with a bang!

An absent-minded fiancée accidentally directed guests of her upcoming nuptials to PornHub.com — an X-rated content platform with hardcore clips of folks getting their freak on — rather than her official wedding website.

“I got my wedding invitations in the mail today… I made a very large mistake,” confessed the blushing bride, only digitally known as @Squidward.Tentacles, in a TikTok testimonial with over 189,800 views.

“I forgot I put this fun website as a placeholder,” she added, showcasing her gold-trimmed RSVP card and zooming in on the PornHub address where her wedding information should have been printed.

Mexican Mayor Weds ‘Princess’ Alligator in Centuries-Old Traditional for Good Fortune

Mexican Mayor Weds ‘Princess’ Alligator in Centuries-Old Traditional for Good Fortune

Alligator in Wedding Dress photo Mayor Victor Hugo Sosa of the small Mexican town of San Pedro Huamelula ceremonially married an alligator on Thursday. The mayor happily obliged repeated requests from the crowd to kiss his blushing bride.

San Pedro Huamelula has been practicing the alligator wedding ritual for centuries, tracing the tradition back to the indigenous Chontal and Huave peoples.

The village is located in Oaxaca state on the Pacific coast, a poor region of southern Mexico with a large population of indigenous residents. Wedding celebrants sing, dance, and implore the “little princess” alligator chosen as a ceremonial bride to bless them with good fishing and weather.

…The “godmother” of this year’s wedding, Elia Edith Aguilar, said the ceremony gives her “so much happiness and makes me proud of my roots.”

“It is a privilege to be the godmother. Very few people can do it,” she said, noting that one of her most important responsibilities is arranging a gown for the literal bridezilla.

The bride wore white, if anyone was wondering, although she was also outfitted with a perky tropical print dress. She made time to dance with just about everyone in the village, but on the other hand, alligators are notoriously poor at tossing their garters.

It’s the mayor and the gator united in blissful matrimony.

A small-village Mexican mayor married an alligator bride in a ceremony that dates back centuries Thursday in hopes of bringing good fortune to his fishing community.

San Pedro Huamelula Mayor Victor Hugo Sosa bent down to kiss the reptile more than once while the alligator’s snout was tied shut during Thursday’s jubilant ceremony where trumpets and drums played.

The 7-year-old gator, called little princess, is seen as a deity that represents nature. Her marriage to a local leader symbolizes humans connecting with the divine.

These newlyweds were not a happy couple.

A “miserable” neighbor — dubbed a “Karen” — seemed to purposefully “ruin” a wedding across the street, droning out the bride with a lawnmower as she walked down the aisle.

In fact, the whirring during her lawn mowing session was so noisy that it even disturbed the couple’s vows so the audience couldn’t hear them.

The clip, which garnered more than 293,000 views on TikTok, has sparked outrage in the comments.

“The second the bride’s song came on and she walked down the aisle this Karen decided to PURPOSELY mow her lawn and yell at us to ruin the wedding,” read the text on the video, captioned “some people are so miserable.”

It was one wedding and a funeral.

A South African pastor is being excoriated online after filming himself proposing to a grieving woman in the middle of her father’s funeral — mere feet from the deceased’s coffin. Video of the proposal has over 278,000 views as critics accuse the man of making the somber occasion about himself.

“Proposing [to] the deceased’s daughter right at the funeral. Wiping the tears there and there,” reads the caption to the clip, which was uploaded a week ago by the fiancé — who goes by @M.Mojela on TikTok.

According to CEN, the pastor, who was presiding over the service, had asked for the woman’s hand in order to help heal her broken heart.

After a long, pandemic-induced wedding drought, the industry is busier than it has been in decades — and venues, vendors and planners are feeling the squeeze.

Staggering stat: There will be an estimated 2.5 million weddings in 2022, which is the most the U.S. has seen since 1984, according to The Wedding Report, a market research firm.
