I think Grindr is more a “hook up” site than dating site – but you have to be careful, regardless. There are crazies and kooks that use these sites – but simpleton, naive, idiot married people are always instructing lovelorn singles to “just try a dating site!”

Why? So I can run across a wacko who will decapitate me on the first date or at some point later?

This is one of those times, if you are single, you should be glad to be single and/or celibate.

If the victim in the story below was single and celibate, and not trying to meet up with another guy for sex, he would not have been stabbed to death.

There are a few up-sides to being single and celibate, and avoiding stuff like this is one of them.

I’m not clear if the murderer in this story is transgender or if he’s a cross-dressing homosexual. Here’s the link:

A Grindr hook-up ended in bloodshed in the Bronx Sunday after a dispute over sex acts drove a man wearing a bra, panties and dress to fatally slash the man he met on the dating app with a machete, cops said Monday.

A 24-year-old man has pleaded guilty to using Grindr to lure gay men to a vacant Dallas apartment to assault and then rob them, officials announced.

Michael Atkinson pleaded guilty Thursday to kidnapping and conspiracy charges in a plot that federal prosecutors said targeted gay men in Dallas.

“Unfortunately, this is not the first time we’ve seen despicable crimes on apps like Grindr,” US Attorney Erin Nealy Cox said in a statement. “I want to urge the public to be vigilant online and recognize the dangers that are lurking there.”
