Guidepost Solutions’ LGBT Pride Tweet Sparks Uproar in SBC 

Well, LOL! So much for “experts,” I guess.

An abuse survivor who is quick to go on witch hunts against supposed abusers (calling himself or herself “BAaccountablity” on Twitter) screamed at me a few weeks ago that I have to believe anything and everything that “GRACE” (an organization which studies how Christian groups handle abuse) says, does, or believes, nor can I question any view or practice of “GRACE” because they are “experts” at abuse
(and apparently they’re also experts at Codependency, according to “BAaccountability,” though when I visited the GRACE site a few weeks ago, I saw nothing about the topic of Codependency at their site using their search feature.
Time, energy, and interest permitting, I will be making more blog posts about that topic and more in the future.)

I’m sure that the people at GRACE are not complete morons nor totally inept concerning the topic of abuse (I am assuming).

However…
Just because a group or person are considered “experts” in their field does not mean they are infallible or lacking a bad or misplaced agenda.

They may be somewhat competent at commenting on abuse, but those who are employed there (at GRACE – or at Guidepost Solutions, for that matter) are still capable of making mistakes, like any other group or person.

That a group or person may be considered an “expert” on a topic (and given that even experts can and do make mistakes) does not mean that I must un-questioningly or un-critically agree with any and all opinions of all their contributors, or that they necessarily know everything about abuse, abusive dynamics, Codependency, or understand Codependency correctly. (More on that in a possible future post or two.)

Here lately, these “experts” at Guidepost Solutions tweeted a “pride month” type comment with a rainbow flag.

I’ve nothing against homosexual people (at least not the ones who are not far left authoritarians), but if a group or organization is virtue signaling during pride month by slapping rainbows in their tweets, it tells me, it hints, that they just may be leftist, progressive, and “woke,” which makes them a little suspect in my eyes.

If you’re someone who is serious about fighting abuse in churches and getting churches to be more transparent in how they handle abuse, my advice to you is to drop any and all “woke” commentary, symbols, and language from your site or social media, because most of the churches you’re at odds with are conservative, and conservatives are not “pro-woke.”

I am a conservative, and I can tell you right now most conservatives will tune you out the moment they see “intersectional,” woke type language, view points, or imagery from you in person, in e-mails, texts, or on your social media.

You either need to make your “save and help victims!” a priority, or you make your leftist politics a priority here – you cannot have both if your goal is to honestly get conservative churches to fix how they usually mishandle abuse cases in their midst.

The far left is trying to erode boundaries around sexuality – they are trying to normalize pedophilia (links to more content about this issue below).

That is part and parcel of the LGBTQ movement (that is what the rainbow flag has now come to symbolize); the LGBTQ movement is not about getting Christians or mainstream Americans to merely “tolerate” the idea that two men want to kiss or marry each other.

It’s moved way beyond that, if you have been paying attention the last few years.

I agree that most churches don’t properly or sensitively deal with abuse (whether rape of women, molestation of children, or wife abuse), but the way to tackle it is not via “woke” organizations that are inadvertently platforming pedophilia.

Guidepost Solutions, the investigative firm that recently produced a report on how the Southern Baptist Convention’s leadership mishandled sexual abuse allegations, is coming under fire from high-profile leaders in the denomination over a tweet supporting LGBT pride.

“Guidepost is committed to strengthening diversity, equity and inclusion and strives to be an organization where our team can bring their authentic selves to work,” the firm declared in a tweet Monday. “We celebrate our collective progress toward equality for all and are proud to be an ally to our LGBTQ+ community.”

As the secular firm’s tweet made the rounds on social media, Randy C. Davis, president and executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, denounced the company’s statement and urged SBC entities receiving funding from the denomination’s Cooperative Program to “immediately break ties with Guidepost Solutions.”

The left is drooling over Mattel honoring actress and LGBTQ activist Laverne Cox with its first transgender Barbie even though it is made in Indonesia, where homosexuals are beaten and gay marriage is illegal.

The transgender doll was unveiled recently in honor of Pride month. The “Laverne Cox Barbie Tribute Collection” doll is aimed at ages six and up and models the “Orange Is the New Black” star in a red ball gown with a translucent skirt that shows off Cox’s legs. The odd collector’s item reportedly retails for $40.

 The high price tag for the doll, the sexuality of Barbie, and the political virtue-signaling attached to it are all part and parcel of America’s expanding political correctness.

Indonesia, on the other hand, is reportedly a country where gay and transgender people still experience widespread discrimination, violence, imprisonment, and at times death under Islamic law, according to Wikipedia.

Exxon Mobil Corp. plans to prohibit the LGBTQ-rights flag from being flown on the corporate flagpole outside its offices during Pride month in June, prompting a furious backlash from Houston-based employees.

Exxon updated company guidance on what flags can be displayed outside its offices, banning “external position flags” such as PRIDE and Black Lives Matter, according to the policy seen by Bloomberg News. Instead, the rule permits a flag representing an LGBTQ employees’ group that does not prominently feature Exxon’s corporate logo.

This is sure inappropriate.

This person is a terrible parent. Also: it goes to show that contrary to what social conservatives and Christian conservatives often promote, parenthood does not make people more godly, mature, or ethical.

I’ve never had a kid, but I would NOT subject them to adult sexual content if I had one, or if had to babysit a kid.

I bet all the usual suspects on social media who often complain about purity culture (not that I support all aspects of it either, but I do believe the Bible, yes, does teach that both men and women are supposed to wait until marriage to have sex) won’t say a peep about this view held by progressives, which amounts to a form of child abuse and negligent parenting, that children should be exposed to “kink” culture.

Over ten, fifteen years ago, the LGBs asked for tolerance. They said all they wanted was “tolerance.”
That may have been true for a segment of them, but the rest of them went far past “tolerance” to harassing and trying to force people to bake them gay wedding cakes, or to (more recently) bake them “gender transition” cakes against their will, or doing things such as advocating that children be subjected to watching adults engage in sexual behavior.

The LGBTQ crowd went from asking for “tolerance” to demanding that everyone validate, celebrate, and affirm their sexual choices, sexual behavior, and sexual orientation. What a bunch of liars and hypocrites.

… I’ve seen an increasing attempt to introduce children to sexualities, and not in the basic “love is love” kind of way, but introducing these children to “kinks.” I think we can all agree that this goes too far. Introducing the concept of same-sex romantic relationships may be one thing, teaching a kid that sometimes people like to do things that sexually excite them is another.

….Here’s the bottom line. People outside of the LGBT community can raise hell all day, but at the end of said day, the resistance is going to have to come from within the LGBT community.

At this time, the pedophiles are attempting to slowly infiltrate and attach themselves to the LGBT movement and ride it into mainstream acceptance. They are using the LGBT community.

Don’t let these people become one of you. Stand up against them and push them out.

We may not be experts, but last time we checked, children were not adults. So why is the Washington Post promoting a Salon–worthy opinion piece arguing that children should be exposed to “kink culture”?

Self-described “former sex worker” Lauren Rowello describes a family outing to the Philadelphia Pride Parade five years (Link): with her trans wife and children:

When our children grew tired of marching, we plopped onto a nearby curb. Just as we got settled, our elementary-schooler pointed in the direction of oncoming floats, raising an eyebrow at a bare-chested man in dark sunglasses whose black suspenders clipped into a leather thong.
The man paused to be spanked playfully by a partner with a flog.
“What are they doing?” my curious kid asked as our toddler cheered them on.

I would include variations of the flags below as well.

I’ve seen variations of the following flags for sale on sites such as Etsy and Amazon – which would include, for example, the BLM (Black Lives Matter) fist symbol on top of the “Transgender Pride” or the original “(LGB) Pride” flag.

With one or two caveats for at least one of the flags below (I will explain below), all the following are worthy of contempt, and everything they stand for is worthy of contempt, rejection, and derision.

Most all the following flags are deserving of being set alight with fire, stomped or spat upon.

I do not support, within the United States, yanking a flag out of someone else’s hands and vandalizing it, though – that flag is their property.

However, if you’re into protesting and want to make or buy, say, an Antifa, BLM, or Trans Pride flag, to spit on it, wipe your feet on it in the public streets, or set fire to it, during a protest, that would be okay with me.

Wielded by fascist, anti-American, anti-free speech degenerates who claim to be opposed to fascism but who are not.

Those who carry this flag with conviction usually also consist of current day teens, 20-somethings, and occasionally, aimless, unaccomplished 30-somethings, who lack life experience and were not expected to actually achieve anything in the schools they attended.
