Nobody is more anti-scientific than progressives, Democrats, and most liberals.

It’s popular on some sites to write off YEC (young earth creationism), literal six day creationist Christians, as being yokels and dumb-dumbs, but nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, takes the cake for stupidity and being anti-scientific like insisting or demanding that the sex of human skeletal remains cannot be determined, because perhaps the dead person “identified” as non-binary or some such idiotic queer theory stupidity.

Contra queer-theory advocates (which would include many Democrats, liberals, and progressives), women do not have penises and men do not have periods (ie, monthly shedding of the uterine lining).

Progressives will bend or flatly deny biological, scientific fact and reality in service of promoting their stupid “Queer Theory.”

According to woke archaeologists and anthropologists, ancient human remains should no longer be classified as either male or female. Apparently, this is because we do not know how these people would have identified themselves.

… There are always exceptions to the norm, but most individuals can be classified, according to biological characteristics, as either male or female. Trans activists in the archaeological community are now rejecting this mode of classification.

And they are doing so for a reason: they are trying to erase the reality of biological sex in the present by erasing it in the past. They want to make it look as if the natural human condition is nonbinary.

… In the same book, Raff also claims that binary sex division is a ‘duality imposed by Christian colonisers’. This touches on one of the most important aspects of the trans agenda in archaeology. This movement to retroactively de-sex skeletons is in fact part of a larger attack, within anthropology, on Western civilisation.

I think this person, who calls herself Andy on Twitter, and says she went from being a Christian to an Ex-vangelical (also referred to as “Exvies”) to an atheist, is absolutely correct in her tweet below.

She says what I’ve been observing for a few years now with the people who post under the “Exvangelical” or “Empty The Pews” hash tags on Twitter – some of those who use these tags are ex Christians, or switched from being a conservative Christian over to being liberal or progressive.

From what I’ve seen of them – or just run of the mill liberal, leftist, or progressive Christians – they are just as hateful, nasty, critical, pious, and sanctimonious (they are so, so very sanctimonious that it’s positively nauseating) as the groups they criticize (usually conservative Christians), and in some cases even MORE SO.

I’ve mentioned this before in the context of Christian, progressive persons or groups such as Stephanie Drury’s “Stuff Christian Culture Likes” Facebook Group, I’ve had run ins with Christopher Stoop (is it Chrissy now?), and Nate Sparks.

These people tend to be just as, if not more, judgmental and condemning as the evangelical, Baptist, or fundamentalist Christians they complain about all the time on their blogs, podcasts, and social media.

Progressive Christians conflate their leftist causes and political views with the Christian faith itself all the time, yet they often criticize “white evangelicals” for voting for Trump, or for just being a Republican, or voting for, Republicans.

The progressives, for example, will dismiss any possibility that you can be a good Christian if you don’t support leftist positions such as CRT, Black Lives Matter, or biological men (“transwomen”) being permitted into women’s only spaces, etc

The hypocrisy just blows me away. And the progressives who sit around all smug mocking and judging conservative Christians are blind to this.

Not only were Andy’s observations spot on (you can read some of her Twitter comments farther below in this post), but some of the people who left her replies were also completely correct.

An Alarming Trend in Psychotherapy by Christine Sefein – (Woke Therapists Want You To Stay In a Victim Mindset and Miserable)

This video is largely addressing woke, Neo-Marxist, identity politics influences in the mental health profession and its damaging ramifications upon groups of people (such as women, people of color, and so on).

However, much of what is mentioned is identical as what I said in previous posts in regards to psychologists or therapists (or friends) enabling people with mental health problems, by merely echoing back and validating the negative thoughts and worldviews of those persons.

There is a time and place for non-judgmental emotional support, but if a friend, family, or mental health professional merely validates the person’s distorted (negative) beliefs, and does so for months to years on end, and does not challenge or encourage the person to change their behavior (when and where it can be changed) and/or change how they view their situation or themselves, the person will remain in a state of Learned Helplessness.

Therefore, the person’s anxiety, depression, or whatever issue they are facing, will not diminish or cease.

Giving someone with depression (or certain other conditions) nothing but validation and on-going emotional support – as the therapist in the video below explains – will actually keep the person in a depressive state, or possibly worsen her mental health.
(This is exactly what I was saying in other, older blog posts and other media, but got chewed out over it by others.)

While the far left in the mental health field love to tell people that they are experiencing depression or some other problem because of the identity group they are a part of (whether they are black, homosexual, a woman, what have you), on the individual level, some people are buying into this toxic thinking because they have a Victim Mentality (see this previous post for more about Victim Mentality).

If a friend of yours, or a mental health professional, is simply sitting around agreeing with your negative views – that you are a victim in life, and you always have life oh-so-hard, and isn’t life horrible and unfair, and there’s nothing any of us can do about it – they are aiding you in keeping  you trapped in your anxiety and depression.

If this person was actually competent and compassionate, they’d be trying to help you to find steps to take TO CHANGE, to improve in some way.

Offering empathy or emotional support is only one part of the pie, it should not be the entire pie – and that emotional support is useless and garbage if it’s being mis-used to keep someone “stuck” in some disorder or harmful mindset they have.

If you continue to think of yourself as a victim, your situation or condition will never improve.

If you continue to believe that your life and all its problems – or obtaining happiness or peace – is not in your control at all, that it remains outside of your control and due to external factors, you will continue being depressed and feeling hopeless.

I spent over 30 years with clinical depression – I was diagnosed by psychiatrists with it – and I spent years trying to figure a way out of depression, when the sessions with psychiatrists didn’t help me, and the prescribed anti-depressants didn’t help me, either.

I finally figured my way out of depression (on my own), and I can tell you that the “woke” approach to “treatment” will absolutely keep you trapped in depression.

Getting primarily, or only, emotional support from a therapist, friends or family, when you’re dealing with depression (or most other problems in life), and thinking of yourself as a victim in life, isn’t going to help you rebound and heal in the long run.

As I said in a previous post, receiving emotional support for a problem initially is fine, but at the end of the day, if you want to solve a problem and make it go away, emotional support only won’t cut it – you will have to change something about your life, your usual routine, or how you think about yourself or your life or your problem if you hope to break free.

For our latest video, FAIR’s Christine Sefein explains how her field of psychotherapy has been taken over by what she describes as a “divisive and regressive ideology” that led her to resign from her position as a professor of clinical psychology at Antioch University in Los Angeles.

This ideology teaches people to see themselves as part of an oppressed group and to blame their hardships on oppressor groups. And sometimes that’s true! But most often this way of thinking, which encourages hypersensitivity, is harmful to people who are seeking help from mental illness conditions.

Sefein worries that her field, which is designed to help people overcome their mental illnesses, will actually exacerbate patients’ symptoms by causing them to view themselves as having no control over improving their situation.

Instead, people are acquiring an attitude called “learned hopelessness,” which locks them into a feedback loop of pessimism and despair.

Aside from homosexuals, the Taliban (Muslim extremists) don’t like Christians; I just heard the other day that Christians trying to flee Afghanistan say that if the Taliban catches a Christian, they will set a living Christian on fire.

I’d be a little less concerned if someone won’t use my “pronouns” or refuses to bake me a wedding cake over my sexual identity or behavior, and more concerned over being shot or burned alive by Muslim extremists for political or religions disagreements.

I’m sitting here as a conservative, a non-woke, never- been- woke, non- ally,  watching in some amusement as the left eats one other!

I remember when a lot of homosexual men, the “g” in LGB(T), used to harass Christian bakers, photographers, or florists, for not wanting to provide their services or artistry, in, or for, homosexual weddings. Many Christians were sued out of business, or almost, over that.

Now the shoe is on the other foot!
This is the third or so blog post I’ve done in the last couple of months of how the far left, usually the “T” in LGBT, harassing cis (biological) male homosexuals.

I hope any of you homosexual guys who used to harass straights or Christians over the legalization of gay marriage, whether IRL or on social media and on blogs,  are now feeling sheepish or remorseful over that, because you are now on the receiving end of the same behavior you used to dole out. How does it feel?

We’re living in interesting times.

An easy example: the evolving concept of gender and its inclusion in a gay/lesbian alliance.

Originally, “gender” related to grammar. Then we were told it’s the same as “sex.” Then we were told it’s a societal construct. Then we were told it’s within us when we’re born.

Apropos, in Michigan recently, a clash of initials occurred.

Businessman Bryan Quinn had an idea: Open a gay camping area in the spring.

The co-owner of Camp Boomerang RV Park and Campground — in the city of Orleans, roughly 50 miles north of Lansing — posted to Facebook an explanation of the camp’s concept.

Biologically speaking, Bryan envisioned the vacation destination as exclusively male.

These days, what’s the best way to put that into words?

Last month, here’s what he composed:

Camp Boomerang is a private, membership-only RV park/campground that allows only “guys.” A “guy,” in terms of this discussion, is defined as a person with a penis, [who] presents himself as male and has a state-issued ID that says “male.”

Clear?

Bryan must’ve braced for a bit of backlash:

We understand this statement, unfortunately, may not make everyone happy, but feel it needs to be clarified.

“Being a ‘private membership only’ entity,” he wrote, “allows us the ability to build a like-minded atmosphere.”

….As reported by the Advocate, not everyone was on board.

While some critics declared they definitely weren’t “like-minded” toward the policy, one nay-sayer inquired as to whether there would be “penis checks” at the entrance.

If an adult born of one biological sex later in life wants to pretend to be of the other biological sex, I don’t entirely care (so long as it does not negatively impact me or other people), but I DO NOT support this idiocy, where facts of life, like biological sex, are denied!

People should not be hounded online, or banned or suspended from social media, or receive hate mail from people, or face being fired from their job, for knowing and saying that most humans are born one sex or the other, or for stating or acknowledging truisms, such as men don’t get periods or get pregnant, and women don’t have testicles or penises.

Woke-ism does not respect science – but then, I suppose the idiots on the left consider science “whiteness,” and hence “white supremacy” (eye roll), so they’re fine with ignoring it, I suppose.

The far left activist crack-pots (and many in the Democrat Party) are demanding everyone else in society speak in their woke terms and deny scientific realities. This is not okay.

but in the last few years, it’s been the left, the liberals, and the Democrats, and the “Never Trump” Republicans who have been initiating and perpetuating the Culture Wars in the United States – but they keep acting as though the evangelicals, the Trump voters, conservatives, or Republicans, are behind the Culture Wars.

The word now is radicalized. So many people feel pushed to the edge and are pushing back.  Go to social-media sites and search “school board meeting” adding descriptors like “explosive,” “outrage” and “chaos.” Parents are rising up. New York Democrats just picked an anticrime former cop as their mayoral nominee.

Other signs that suggests a spirit of having been radicalized: Longtime alliances based on natural affinity are loosening.

Conservatives by nature support and respect the military. That’s changing among some of them, or at least becoming less reflexive, under the pressure of changes of political correctness and a woke brass.

… There’s a sense in America of a continuing political realignment, that it didn’t all start and end in 2015-2016.

I think that what happened last summer, when the streets erupted and statues toppled, is being answered now with a pushback – a quieter one but no less consequential.

I realize that American  culture has long held double standards regarding sexual behavior, that men are allowed to be slutty, which only enhances their reputations among some, but if a woman is slutty, she gets referring to as a great big whore.

So yes, I am sympathetic to a point with the AP’s rationale behind this – but – I don’t fully support it.

Rather than holding men equally accountable for reprehensible behavior, “woke” moves like this one just seem to be watering down the same egregious behavior when committed by women. I myself don’t approve or EITHER biological sex committing adultery.
