views and thoughts on topics, especially ones pertaining to christianity – with an emphasis on how most christians either ignore or discriminate against unmarried christians – and how christians have turned marriage and parenting into IDOLS and how there is no true support for sexual purity, virginity, or celibacy among christians – this is a blog for me to vent; I seldom permit dissenting views. I don't debate dissenters ————-
(The video entitled “The Religion of Wokeness” is embedded and linked to towards the end of this post. I may embed and/or link to other videos from this series below)
I’ve noticed for well over a year now that Wokeness, CRT, Identity Politics, intersectionality, Whiteness Studies, Black Lives Matters, and all these other leftist movements and lingo are religious in tone.
Leftists sound and act like they are in a cult.
It’s perhaps most glaring with people who say they left conservative or fundamentalist Christianity and behave as though they have just merely swapped out those former religious beliefs for the secular religion of Wokeness.
Most of these liberals / progressives who’ve left conservative Christianity remain blind to the fact that they’ve merely made Leftism / Leftist causes into their new religion.
Liberal Bill Maher Is Right About Cancel Culture and Wokeness
Bill Maher is one of those liberals I can occasionally agree with.
I agree with him on many of the subjects he raises in these videos (they are in this post, below), except for his swipe in one moment of one of the videos below, where he takes a shot at the border wall – – the Democrat Biden Administration has been an utter disaster on immigration and a failure at keeping the U.S. border orderly and safe (the Biden administration has also failed to keep illegal aliens safe), which I intend to make a post about in the future.
….He reeled off a series of instances where officials and creative staffers faced consequences over decades-old behavior. In one case, the opening ceremony’s musical director was ousted over a 1994 interview in which he admitted to bullying fellow students when he was a child in school. “Remember when your teacher used to try to scare you, they’d say, ‘You know, this is going to go down on your permanent record,’” he said. “No longer an empty threat now.”
